摘要：隨著全球經濟一體化進程的不斷推進，國際商務活動不斷日益頻繁，經濟貿易合作的領域不斷擴大，商務函電作為信息的使者，感情的紐帶和和友誼的橋梁，貫穿這各個環節從建立業務關系到達成交易，從執行合同及執行合同過程中的糾紛等，大都需要通過函電解決。特別是在產生貿易糾紛時,它又可能左右糾紛解決的后果。一封得體、規范的外貿函電，既能與外商建立和保持良好的業務關系，又避免了因糾紛而產生的不愉快。本文從文體、語言、翻譯、詞類轉換、增減詞等方面，對商務函電的特點和用詞技巧作了初步探討。

1.商務函電的特點

1.1文體特點

商務函電是一種在商務環境下，利用函電與具有不同文化背景的客戶進行交流的跨文化行為。是一種公文性質的信函，其主要內容涉及公事，交流目的主要在于磋商公務，因此每一封商務公函都必須注重表達準確，規范，樸素，并且要求主題突出，中心明確。在文體上嚴謹規范，莊重典雅自成一路的風格特征;在用詞方面，商務函電大多使用正式詞匯，并力求用詞簡潔樸素，準確具體；在用語方面，強調句子嚴謹，完整，委婉禮貌，注重語氣的恰當性，并充分考慮對方的感受。

1.2語言特點

商務函電其中的三個原則“準確、簡潔、清楚”都是對語言方面的要求，“體貼、禮貌”則是針對態度和角度方面的要求。“完整”是對格式的要求，而“具體”則是對整封函電內容的整體要求，是要求避免大而無當的詞句，內容不能偏離要表達的中心。商務函電不僅涉及獨特的專業背景，而且涉及實際商務工作技能，其語言特點可以歸納為兩條：商務函電涉及面涵蓋了貿易、金融、外匯、海關、商檢等諸多領域，顯示出多種行業特色，因此，語言的選擇性很強；商務人員的思維模式具體、審慎，講究語言表達的分寸。具體體現在表達直截了當、簡潔明快、淡于修飾。用詞規范、語法結構嚴謹、句子排列一般固定有序、語篇連貫、邏輯性強。1.3翻譯特點

商務函電翻譯比較偏重于“實用效果”，其主要功能是準確傳遞經濟信息，而不是為了取得美學效應和欣賞效果；因而，譯者需要懂得、熟悉專業的行話、術語，翻譯時意義忠實且術語精確.譯文的語氣要禮貌、誠懇、使用書面語言，做到簡潔規范。使用地道的商業用語，體現商業風格避免使用產生歧義的語言，力求具體長句翻譯要理清脈絡，力求條理清晰，并且要達到“７Ｃ原則”即Clearness(清楚),Courtesy(禮貌), Conciseness(簡潔), Correctness(正確), Concreteness(具體), Completeness(完整), Consideration(考慮周到)。

２.１.１詞類轉換

動詞轉換成名詞

由于英漢表達方式不同，其中有部分動詞，如aim at, target, impress….在英譯漢時，雖然有相對應漢語動詞直譯，但如果轉譯顯得更通順。

例如：The company report targets early from selling at US$2000 by 2007.公司的報告中推出了一個目標，到2007可要達到2000美元。

有時候詞匯含義在原句中非常明確，但直譯過來可能會產生誤解或無法理解時，會增加解釋性詞語。

減譯代詞

其中的代詞，特別是所有格代詞，又是只在句中起語法作用，并非強調自身含義，不譯。

在英語中，第一人稱主格代詞，特別是We 在翻譯是可酌情減譯。

例如：We will advise you of the date, we are at your services at all times.我們謹遵你的時間，隨時待命。

減譯動詞

有些謂語動詞表意不少，或無表意作用的。

例如：The packing charges of this machine cost 5000 Yuan.這臺機器大約5000塊錢。

減譯其他詞

英語與漢語在表達相同概念時，采用方法有所不同，英語表達繁，漢語表達簡。

例如：We expect that you will give us a definite reply at your earliest convenience.我們期待您盡早給我們一個確切的答復。

2.1.4詞語的反譯

例如：Our factory is now unprovided with the equipment necessary for the manufacturer of the product.（否定反譯肯定）

我們工廠現在缺乏制造這些產品的必要設備。

2.1.5詞語順序的調整

詞序的調整主要是狀語和定語.在商務函電翻譯中，主要是注意屬性關系上的詞序，即單詞或短語作定語或狀語的位置問題。

狀語的位置

英語中，狀語一般放在動詞之后。形容詞，副詞短語做狀語修飾動詞時既可以位于動詞之前也可以位于之后，但是，漢語中一般狀語在前，動詞在后。例如：If you have some documentary evidence, we would like you to send it urgently.如果貴方有證明文件的話，本公司希望貴方能立刻寄來。

英語中通常方式狀語放在地點狀語之前，地點狀語放在時間狀語之前或兩個同時出現時，小單位在前，大單位在后，漢語則相反。

例如：The prices of all our products will be raised by 10% from April 1st.定語的位置

英語中定語與漢語明顯不同，漢語中定語只能前置，而英語中既可以前置又可以后置，尤其是短語作定語是，一般被置于修飾詞之后。

例如：[1] How much cash is tied up in accounts received how long.（Received后置）

本公司保留要求貴公司賠償損失的權利。（不定式短語后置）

如被修飾詞既有前置形容詞又有后置形容詞共同修飾，漢譯時，后置形容詞應移到被修飾詞之前，而前置形容詞漢譯時譯文中的那位置則根據漢語的順序來譯。

例如：In reply to your Email of may 16,we regret to inform you that we do not have in stock any items enquired for by you.貴方5月16的電子郵件收悉，但很抱歉，貴方所詢的所有商品均告無貨。２.２正式商務函電翻譯用詞

２.２.１專業詞匯

外貿英語信函中對專業詞匯的翻譯務必精確、符合經貿專業要求。外貿英語中的價格術語意義固定：有的是單獨的詞，inquiry(詢盤)和offer(報盤）;有的是則是由幾個詞構成，例如：to draw on somebody(向某方開出匯票)。這些專業詞匯的翻譯稍微有差錯就會造成負面的影響甚至巨大的損失，如曾有則報道說，某譯者錯將“不銹鋼”譯為“炭素鋼”，這兩字之差就給企業造成近20萬元損失。值得注意的是，有些外貿英語專業詞匯與其本意大相徑庭。Document本意為“文件”，而在外貿英語中則為“單據”，如An L/C normally specifies the documents that are required by the buyer and the date by which the goods in question must be shipped。（信用證上，通常規定了買方所需的單據，以及有關貨物的運貨日期。）２.２.２.歧義詞

英語中常常會出現一個詞匯有多重意義，而這幾個意義恰好又是對立的。因此在外貿英語信函的書寫或翻譯中，應避免使用歧義詞。面對這類詞匯應及時發現，并立刻和對方取得聯系，以便及時糾正，以免使締約雙方發生分歧，為日后貿易帶來后患。如in a week 可指在within a week（一周內），又可以指after a week(在一周后），這就必須要與對方商榷，及時換上表義明確的詞。２.２.３.英美詞匯差異

外貿英語信函的翻譯還應注意英美詞義的差異：在英式英語和美式英語中，同一個詞可能有不同的含義。在這方面的典型例子即是單位的差異，如billion在美式英語中意思為“十億”，而在英式英語中，則代表“萬億”。因此，在翻譯中一定要注意英式英語和美式英語使用場合。

２.２.4.套用格式化語言或句型對應翻譯法

以簽署文件、合同等為目的的外貿英語信函，多套用已有格式。在翻譯的時候，應用相應的中文格式，用程式化語言翻譯即可。它的特點主要表現在一些套用、固定搭配及句式結構的應用中。譯者可相應地采取“套用句型對應方法”來翻譯。在此類商業信函中，對方一般也會采取正規書面語，風格繁冗。尤其是為了增加嚴肅、正式的意味，他們常常會選用帶法律、語言保守傾向的古體詞。常見的有以”here;there;where”為詞根的詞，如:herein;hereof;herewith;hereby;thereby;以詞匯手段予以補償，用相對比較古雅的詞匯將原文的文體風格反映出來即可。２.２.5.整體格式差異

整體格式差異主要體現在英文與中文信函中。眾所周知，英文日期常寫于右上方，而中文日期常寫于右下方。英文稱呼使用復數Sirs/Gentlemen ,而在中文中，則體現為統稱形式的整體單數。雖然，按照國際貿易慣例，外貿函電英譯漢時，可保留英文外貿函電的格式，也可套用中文外貿函電的格式。但是，根據慣例，建議使用中文格式，以取得整體美感。

２.３用于達成友誼，交流感情的商務信函的翻譯用詞

除用于正式交易的外貿英語信函外，為達成貿易雙方的友誼，商家會特別注意禮貌，因此會大量寫作交流情感類信函。對這一類信函，譯者翻譯的時候，應注意選取適合的詞，使用翻譯具有“信、雅、達”的美感。并且提醒注意的一點是，商人畢竟是商人，他首先考慮的是商品、質量及相關問題與條件，而非客套語人稱，英譯漢時，應突出重點信息，精簡繁枝冗葉，以達到強化重點的目的。針對外貿英語信函所帶有的書面語體的語言結構特點，譯者在翻譯時，應該選擇相應的書面語。在中文外貿信函中，使用的是介于文言文與口語之間的半文言文體與之相對應。例如：Sincerely yours漢譯為“謹上”即可。而針對港臺地區

保留大量古語的特點，譯者在翻譯時，還應該把開頭的“先生”之類詞婉譯為“敬啟者”。在傳統英語貿易辭令中，大量套語，更應該恰當增減。例如：We are pleased 如We are looking forward with interest to your reply.等句式，這里若直譯為“我們帶著極大的興趣盼望您的答復。”顯然，這種翻譯拖沓而且生硬，只要稍微套用一下格式，采取婉譯方式，譯為“盼復”，則簡潔明了。類似的情況還有：Your prompt 婉譯為“即復為謝”）

商務函電的重要性在我國的外貿活動中顯得越來越重要。好的商務英語函電翻譯可以促進我國的外貿。翻譯工作者應該在翻譯和學習的過程中不斷積累各種專業詞匯和縮略語，掌握各種翻譯技巧，針對各種具體情況采用不同的翻譯方法，力求準確，且符合貿易雙方的語言習慣，社會文化習俗。

3結論

綜上所述,外貿英語的這些特點要求是由外貿英語的語境和交際功能所決定的。這些特點的客觀性要求人們在使用外貿英語時必須遵循其語言表達,重視外貿語言的表達作用。在書寫英文函電或進行英漢翻譯時,要注意體現這些規律,特點,注意中英文翻譯表達的差異,力求做到遣詞運字得體,語氣句調相仿,正確傳達信息,為商務活動架好語言橋梁。
