2.省略句
這種句子相對以上三種來講比較簡單,但是如果這種句子在長句中出現,特別是與以上三種情況中的一種或幾種同時出現,就會給考生帶來很大的困擾。然而只要考生把英語中的省略現象加以總結歸納并牢記,省略句也就不會很難了。

Bedfordshire had its fair share of royal visits from the early stages of the 10th century

1.兼顧閱讀速度和答題準確率
考生應該把文章快速瀏覽一遍,在準確把握文章整體內容的基礎上,重點捕捉與題目有關的文章細節,這樣才能提高答題的準確率。
2.抓住關鍵信息,弱化輔助信息
高考閱讀理解中文章的長度一般在300詞左右,設3~5個題,因此往往有較多的輔助信息,而且篇幅越長,輔助信息越多。這就要求考生在閱讀時不能平均用力,而應該抓住與題目相關的關鍵信息,不要被輔助信息所干擾和迷惑。
3.靈活應對長難句和生詞
在遇到一些結構復雜、難以理解的句子時應該注意,并非每個長難句都與題目有關。如果與題目相關,考生應該大體分析一下句子成分,找出句子的主語、謂語等,然后再弄清句子的附加成分。如果與題目沒有直接關系,只要不影響對全文的理解,考生就不必過多糾纏。對待生詞的策略也是如此,要看生詞是否與題目有直接的關系:如果是題目中涉及的,考生應該弄清單詞所處的語境,根據單詞和上下文的聯系推斷出單詞的準確意義;如果生詞不影響解題,考生則不必耗費過多的時間。

在閱讀理解中遇到詞義猜測題,如何進行猜測?(一)
閱讀理解中經常出現一定量的生詞,并且幾乎每份高考試卷中都有考查猜測詞義的試題。閱讀理解中所設置的猜測詞義題多是對生詞、短語、指示代詞的猜測。一方面,所猜測的單詞或短語往往是已學過的或熟悉的,但高考所考查的是不太常見的意思;另一方面所猜測的單詞或短語往往是沒有學過的或陌生的。所考查的單詞或短語的意義往往不停留在字面上,要根據語境來判斷。我們也可以通過構詞法分析生詞詞義,或通過上下文猜測,尤其是
本句話以及其前后兩句話。
還可以通過聯想進行推測,即回想已知詞匯中是否存在拼寫方法與該生詞類似的詞。常用的猜詞技巧有:
1.利用副詞或連詞的并列、對比、因果等關系
副詞或連詞的關系可以在句內詞與詞之間,在段內句與句之間的關系上起著互為線索的作用。如在詞或短語之間有并列連詞and或or,這些詞或短語在句中作相同的成分,并且and或or連接的兩項內容在含義上是接近的或遞進的,因此確定同等關系中的某個生詞所屬的義域,甚至推知它的大致詞義。在but,however,yet,otherwise這些表示轉折意義的連詞出現的句子中,其前后的詞有明顯的對比關系。根據已知的內容,通過這種對比關系,就很容易猜出生詞的詞義了。because,since與as是連接原因狀語從句的從屬連詞,so是連接表示結果的并列句的連詞,so...that與such...that中的that是連接結果狀語從句的。當這些信息詞出現在有生詞的句中,通過因果關系和已知部分,就能猜測出生詞的詞義;還有通過近義詞或反義詞提供的信息猜出生詞的詞義。
