為了傳播奧林匹克精神，中國同時(shí)也幫助其他發(fā)展中國家完善其體育設(shè)施。例如我們已經(jīng)幫助他們建設(shè)了36座體育場館，我們今后還將繼續(xù)這樣做。

女士們，先生們，我希望借此機(jī)會(huì)向你們保證，如果此次奧運(yùn)會(huì)產(chǎn)生盈余，我們將用它來建立一個(gè)奧林匹克友誼合作基金，用于幫助發(fā)展中國家的體育事業(yè)。如果發(fā)生赤字，中國政府將自己承擔(dān)。

Mr.President, IOC members, Ladies and gentlemen,On behalf of the Chinese government, I wish to reaffirm that our Government stands firmly behind Beijing in its bid for the 2008 Olympic Games.The Chinese Government respects and appreciates the conclusion reached by the IOC Evaluation Commission.We have worked out a plan accordingly to ensure an excellent Games in Beijing.The Chinese Government will honor each and every commitment it has made in Beijing's Candidature File and will do whatever it can to assist Beijing to fulfill its promises.China embraces the Olympic spirit and has always been a staunch supporter behind the IOC initiatives.Over the past five decades, thanks to, among other things, the nation-wide “fitness-for-all” sports campaign, our people's health has been greatly

improved, and the average life expectancy has increased from 35 years to 70.Our athletes have been doing quite well in the sports events organized by the IOC.To further promote the Olympic spirit, China has also helped other developing countries with their sports facilities.For instance, we have helped them build 36 stadiums.And we will continue to do so in the future.Ladies and Gentlemen, I wish to take this opportunity to pledge to you that if there is a surplus in the Games revenue, we will use it to set up an Olympic Friendship and Co-operation Fund for financing sports undertakings in

developing countries.If there is a deficit, the difference will be covered by the Chinese Government.China has been one of the fastest growing economies in the world over the past 20 years since its reform and opening-up.It has enjoyed continued political stability, social progress and economic prosperity.An Olympic Games in Beijing will not only serve the interests of the Chinese people, but also promote the Olympic spirit and contribute to peace and friendship, stability and development in the world.Many people in the world have a dream that one day they could come to China and visit Beijing.My fellow countrymen, for their part, share a strong desire to stage an excellent Olympic Games in Beijing, which, as they see it, is a great contribution to the Olympic Movement.I therefore hope, from the bottom of my heart, that you, distinguished IOC members, will help them realize their long-cherished aspirations.Chinese sage Confucius says, “Is it not a delight after all to have friends come from afar!” Indeed, it is our delight to welcome all guests with open arms in Beijing in the year 2008.I am sure you will have a great Games in Beijing.

《李嵐清教育訪談錄》是本人在市教育局工作期間添置的一本書，以前翻過，現(xiàn)在放在辦公室里，近日又一次精選了幾篇看看。作為一名教師，一名教育工作者，真正感受很深，連我們教育部的周濟(jì)部長都是“一直以十分興奮和激動(dòng)的心情認(rèn)真拜讀《李嵐清教育訪談錄》”的，把這部書評(píng)價(jià)為“在我國教育發(fā)展事業(yè)中具有重要?dú)v史意義的著作”，更何況具體在下面工作的人們。周濟(jì)部長站在部長和他本人的角度，從四個(gè)方面談了自己的感受：第一，發(fā)展是硬道理，是解決中國一切問題的關(guān)鍵，也是解決中國教育戰(zhàn)線一切問題的關(guān)鍵；第二，以改革求發(fā)展，以創(chuàng)新求發(fā)展；第三，鍥而不舍，一抓到底，扎扎實(shí)實(shí)地為教育做實(shí)事；第四，帶著深厚的感情抓教育，辦好讓人民滿意的教育。用發(fā)展的眼光看問題，用正面的眼光看問題，就自己的角度就某一方面談?wù)勛约旱母惺馨伞?p>李嵐清同志是一個(gè)大寫的“人”。從不多的資料中可以知道李嵐清是復(fù)旦大學(xué)學(xué)企業(yè)管理出身的，從工廠的“計(jì)劃員”干到“國家的領(lǐng)導(dǎo)人”，閱歷豐富，百煉成鋼；知識(shí)淵博，著作等身，從他的訪談錄的廣征博引，史論結(jié)合，情理交融，透徹明晰，生動(dòng)具體，令人醒思快意，感佩于心，從他在各著名大學(xué)的各類講學(xué)到《音樂筆談》；雖然在某個(gè)敏感時(shí)期一度有“國事家事理難清”的怨言，但無論從為人、為官，還是從學(xué)習(xí)、生活還是工作方面，李嵐靖同志都人中之龍，他用他的一生書寫了一個(gè)大寫的“人”。

李嵐清同志闡述了藝術(shù)和科學(xué)是相通的道理，并用很多事例論證，身體力行，化為中國的教育制度。在談到藝術(shù)和科學(xué)是相通的觀點(diǎn)時(shí)，李嵐清同志還談了自己的一次親身經(jīng)歷：有一次他參觀愛爾蘭著名的默里克理工大學(xué)，非常驚訝地發(fā)現(xiàn)，盡管它是一家以軟件研發(fā)而著名的理工學(xué)府，卻擁有一支杰出的音樂人才隊(duì)伍。原來，學(xué)校多年的教學(xué)和研發(fā)經(jīng)驗(yàn)得出結(jié)論，校園如果缺少了音樂，就會(huì)缺少了一份創(chuàng)造的激情，學(xué)校因此非常鼓勵(lì)師生愛好音樂，通過各種方式培養(yǎng)學(xué)生的音樂興趣?？梢姡瑥氖驴茖W(xué)或其他學(xué)科研究的人需要藝術(shù)家的靈感、需要藝術(shù)家的好奇心、需要藝術(shù)家創(chuàng)作的執(zhí)著精神和創(chuàng)新的追求；從事藝術(shù)研究的人也要有必要的科學(xué)知識(shí)、科學(xué)精神、科學(xué)方法、科學(xué)態(tài)度。正是李總理如此推崇音樂教育，在他主管國家教育、科技、文化工作的10年中，史無前例地把音樂教育提升到重要地位，他首先把音樂課是必修課寫進(jìn)教育大綱，讓高雅音樂走進(jìn)校園，進(jìn)課堂，讓高校大學(xué)生上音樂鑒賞課，使音樂成為學(xué)生素質(zhì)教育的重要手段。并由此推而廣之。李崗清同志指出，現(xiàn)代科技特別是信息網(wǎng)絡(luò)技術(shù)的發(fā)展，為我國教育事業(yè)的跨越式發(fā)展和教學(xué)質(zhì)量的提高提供了極好的機(jī)遇。我國是窮國辦大教育，就必須采取一些特殊手段，例如大力發(fā)展音像教育、多媒體教育、信息化教育、網(wǎng)絡(luò)遠(yuǎn)程教育等，其基本目的就是實(shí)現(xiàn)優(yōu)質(zhì)教育資源共享，提高教育水平和質(zhì)量。東部地區(qū)和其他發(fā)達(dá)地區(qū)，包括中西部的一些大中城市的教師素質(zhì)比較高，并且已普遍使用了這類現(xiàn)代化教育手段。但中西部經(jīng)濟(jì)和教育比較落后的地方特別是廣大農(nóng)村，在這方面的差距還很大。中國的農(nóng)村中小學(xué)現(xiàn)代遠(yuǎn)程教育工程、中小學(xué)網(wǎng)絡(luò)教室建設(shè)工程、教師網(wǎng)聯(lián)計(jì)劃等就是在這種思想指導(dǎo)下出臺(tái)的。是具有發(fā)展眼光的。國外許多最先進(jìn)的東西都在學(xué)校和科研院所里，以前的中國往往不是這樣的。
