1.介紹自己小時候想要從事的職業,由此歸納出以前所學過的一些職業的英語表達方式:teacher, nurse, doctor, basketball player, runner, actor, actress… 2.詢問學生們想要從事的職業,從而引出句型: ─ What do you want to be when you grow up?
─ I want to be a basketball player.3.學生們看幻燈片,引導學生們進行問答自己將來所喜歡的職業。Ⅲ.Presentation
1.播放幻燈片,展示一些職業的圖片,來引導學生們學習一些新的職業名詞:

be going to后接動詞原形, 其中be根據主語的不同變成相應的am, is或are。如:
I am going to have a birthday party.He is going to learn a foreign language.They are going to sell their house.be going to結構的否定形式是在be動詞后面加not。如: Jane is not / isn’t going to see a movie.含有be going to結構的陳述句變一般疑問句時, 是將be提到主語前面, 且肯定回答為: Yes, 主語(人稱代詞)+be, 否定回答為: No, 主語(人稱代詞)+be +not。如:
They are going to act in the play.→Are they going to act in the play? →Yes, they are./ No, they aren’t.【運用】根據各題后括號內的要求完成下

1)此句中的planning為名詞,表示“計劃;規劃”等意思,如:city planning(城市規劃)等。英語中better planning類似漢語中的“合理規劃”,指通過制定計劃來更加充分的利用時間、空間、精力等。
2)have to do with這個結構表示“與……相關;與……有關聯或有關系”。例如:What does this problem have to do with what we’re learning today? 這道題跟我們今天所學的內容有什么關系? 2.Sometimes the resolutions may be too difficult to keep.有時這些決定可能會太難而無法實現。
1)此處情態動詞may表示推測,相當于漢語的“可能;或許;大概”之意。又如:You may be right this time, but I’m not sure.這一次你或許是對的,但我無法確定。
2)英語中too…to…是一種固定結構,表示“太……而不能夠……”。又如:
The kid is too young to play this game.這孩子太小,不能玩這個游戲。
3)本句中的動詞keep意為“履行(諾言等);遵守(慣例等)”,這是keep的常見用法之一。類似的句子還有: People hardly ever keep them!人們很少履行它們(指計劃)。
在這一語義下,常見的表示還有keep a promise(信守諾言),keep one’s word(遵守承諾;說話算數)等。如: We always keep our word.我們說話是算數的。
3.be able to & can
be able to和can都可表示“能;能夠”的意思, 但兩者的用法有所不同。
be able to有人稱和數的變化,而can沒有人稱和數的變化。如:
I am / My sister is / They are able to speak English well.I / My sister / They can speak English well.be able to可用于多種時態, 而can只有現在式和過去式。如: The boy is able to do some cooking.I will be able to help you look after the dog next year.Linda was able to play the violin well at the age of 11.They can make kites.The girl could wash clothes when she was 10.【運用】將下列句子翻譯成英語。

形容詞有三種級別,即原級、比較級和最高級。當討論的對象是一個時應使用原級,當討論的對象是兩個時應使用比較級,當討論的對象在三個或更多時應使用最高級。
在形容詞原級后面加上er就成為比較級,在原級后加上est就成為最高級。一般的單音節形容詞直接加er或est,詞尾是不發音字母e的只加r或st,重讀閉音節應雙寫詞尾輔音字母再加er或est,如:
