初二年級學生成績兩極分化現象，普遍存在，而且是比較難以解決的一個問題。一般說來，兩極分化形成的規律是：剛進校的初一學生，對英語學習熱情高，好奇心強，學習成績較好。但隨著時間的推移，難度的加深，以及興趣的減弱，一些學生的成績一步步地落后掉隊，而且落伍人數也相對地增加。到了初二年級，分化現象尤其突出，直接影響著學生在整個中學階段的英語成績，同時也阻礙了初中英語教學質量的提高。因此，如何防止分化，大面積提高教學質量，使學生在初中階段獲得較好的成績，是我們英語教師必需重視和解決的問題。分析兩極分化的原因綜

合起來有以下幾種情況：

1、學生學習目的不明確。有不少學生開始學英語時是從興趣出發，隨意性和方向性程度大。他們學英語只是一陣子，一旦遇到挫折，就容易喪失興趣和信心，知難而退，不思上進，導致成績直線下降。

2、學生學習方法欠佳。有些學生沒有掌握好正確的學習方法。如：記單詞，死記硬背;練句型，生搬硬套，不注意語言環境;寫句子不遵循英語習慣，強行漢譯英逐句逐詞對譯等。

3、學生不了解學習英語的關鍵和要點。不少學生誤以為，英語是知識型、理解型的課程，僅滿足于老師講的內容聽懂了，而沒有把主要精力用在聽、說、讀、寫練習上，所以就無法形成語言技能，不能熟練掌握，就會邊學邊忘，越學越困難，最終導致掉隊。

4、學生忽視了語言學習的漸進性。學習英語一定要循序漸進、扎扎實實、逐步提高。單詞學不好就無法組織句子，簡單句掌握不好就難學復合句，聽力差就不能說好英語。如果一段時期沒有抓緊，連續出現缺漏，學生繼續學習英語困難重重，掉隊 就難以避免。

5、教師的教學問題。英語課堂教學是初中生學習英語的，主要渠道，如果教師教學不得法，不嚴格遵循語言教學規律，不全面貫徹英語教學原則，教法單一呆板，只注重知識傳授，不注意能力培養，只注重講解，不注意實踐，這樣持續下去，學生就很自然地只滿足于學好語法、背會單詞、看懂課文、會做習題，而實際上沒有達到熟練掌握，形成技能。大面積掉隊的現象，也就在所難免。基于以上分析，為防止和杜絕兩極分化現象的形成，教師就必須根據兩極分化及時幫助，以防為主 初中英語的教學重點是基礎知識和基本技能，因此教學應面向全體同學，爭取做到人人基本達標。在教學過程中學生學習出現差距是不可避免的。一旦出現，就應該及時找學生談，分析他們掉隊的原因，動之以情，曉之以理，使學生從思想上認識到學習外語的重要性。同時給予學習方法的指導，耐心幫助他們補習功課。對于一些有可能掉隊的學生，及早指出，說明掉隊的嚴重后果，做到防患于未然。產生的成因，有的放矢地采取相應的對策。

1、教師要善于調動和愛護學生的學習英語的積極性。要不斷改進教學方法，提高教學水平，把課上得生動有趣。教師首先要認真地鉆研教材與教法，堅持循序漸進、精講多練的原則，要有超前意識。在教學中，教師要預測到學生可能遇到的困難，要找出克服困難的方法，要幫助學生順利地學會所教內容。教師要善于創造良好的英語環境，激發學生學習英語的興趣。教師講課語言要生動，表情要自然，教態要和藹，手勢要恰當。要積極開展第二課堂活動，使學生學習英語的積極性始終高漲。

2、教師要有高度的責任心。要對班上每一名學生負責。要特別關注中下游學生的學習，對他們所取得的點滴進步都要加以肯定，當他們出現學習困難時，隨時幫助解決。要用高度的責任感和事業心來對待后進生，對他們既要解決思想問題，也要解決學習問題。決不可視他們為包袱，置之不理，放任自流。

3、端正學生的學習目的。教書育人是教師的神圣職責。教師在教學過程中，應不斷引導學生明確學習目的，幫助他們樹立信心，樹立遠大理想，做好克服困難的準備。

4、交給學生學習方法。教師在傳授知識的同時，應注意學習方法的傳授。正確的學習方法是學習成功的保證，方法掌握得越好，效率越高。如：記單詞應提倡詞不離句、句不離文、文不離景，也可采用同義詞、近義詞、反義詞、同音詞及派生詞、衍生詞等 “ 葡萄式 ” 記憶法。課文背誦除常見的機械背誦外，還可復述擴寫或縮寫課文，學生有了正確的學習法，也就牢牢地掌了學習的主動權。
