《英語新課程標準》中提出:“使每一位學生都得到發(fā)展是教師神圣的天職。我們不能選擇適合教育的學生,只能選擇適合學生的教育”。

我們目前倡導的素質(zhì)教育就是要全面提高學生的素質(zhì),但長期以來,初中英語教學中兩極分化是許多學校普遍存在的問題,并且它隨著年級的升高而日趨嚴重。以致于到了九年級很多學生開始放棄英語,使得英語教學墮入了被動難堪的場面。因此,我認為如何運用新課程理念,轉(zhuǎn)化英語學困生,使其英語學習獲得最大限度的發(fā)展,解決兩極分化,是每一位一線教師必須考慮的重要問題。

一、初中英語教學兩極分化的成因

每個學科都存在兩極分化,英語表現(xiàn)的特別突出,為什么英語兩極分化現(xiàn)象明顯比其它學科嚴重?需要我們認真的分析。

(一)初中生自身特質(zhì)是學生兩級分化的潛在主因

在七年級的英語課堂上,部分學生因?qū)W習基礎(chǔ)從一開始就跟不上全班的學習步伐,成了英語學科的學困生。接著,學困生因無明確的學習目標,用消極悲觀的態(tài)度看待自己的學習,他們又處在身心發(fā)育階段,意志力薄弱,逆反心理強,基本上沒有預習和復習等好習慣。許多教師對這樣的學生黔驢技窮,最后只要聽之任之,而這些學生也自暴自棄,不求進取,這直接影響了英語教學效果,導致很多學生成為后進生。

(二)學生的學習辦法不得當。學習辦法是發(fā)揮學生學習才能的手腕,也是促進學生學習才能的途徑。假如有良好的學習才能而無恰當?shù)膶W習辦法,猶如有箭無弓。我們學生是在漢語環(huán)境中學習英語的,因而受母語的影響很大,習慣用漢語思想方式去學習英語,這樣干擾了英語學習的開展,隨著對英語新穎感的消逝和教材內(nèi)容的加深,不少學生開始慢慢對英語產(chǎn)生厭倦的情緒,興味和積極性降落,學習成績必然下滑。長此下去這些學生也就成為了后進生。

二、轉(zhuǎn)化后進生的對策

依據(jù)以上的剖析,學生英語學習呈現(xiàn)兩極分化的緣由是多方面的,如不及時處理定會呈現(xiàn)惡性循環(huán)。因而轉(zhuǎn)化后進生已成為火燒眉毛的問題,我在此引入一些個人不成熟的辦法。(一)加納德的多元智力理論告訴我們,學生的問題不再是聰明與否的問題,而是在哪些方面聰明,怎樣聰明的問題。我們要做的就是從內(nèi)外因出發(fā),把學困生培養(yǎng)成為不同類型的人才。改變學困生的不利內(nèi)因是轉(zhuǎn)化的關(guān)鍵

1.幫助學困生形成正確的學習動機。有許多學生對失敗感到羞恥,卻不做任何努力來改變現(xiàn)狀,是因為他們產(chǎn)生了這樣一種信念:無論怎么努力都不能避免失敗。于是他們在課堂上既不以掌握知識為目標,也不以成績?yōu)槟繕耍且詰稁熼L,打發(fā)時間為目標。這時,教師應當用“勤能補拙”的道理激發(fā)其學習動機。給學困生指出切實可行的目標而且經(jīng)常檢查這一目標,及時修改目標,一旦發(fā)現(xiàn)他們的目標定得過高或過低,就逐一幫助他們修正,激發(fā)他們學習的動力。

2.培養(yǎng)學生良好的學習習慣,提高學生的意志力。授人以魚不及授人以漁。教會學生學習方法是提高英語教學質(zhì)量的關(guān)鍵因素之一。

在起始階段教師應要求學生形成良好的書寫習慣;學會國際音標,避免因使用漢字注音而造成的發(fā)音錯誤;勤于讀寫,做好預習工作,幫助他們多次溫習音標掌握單詞的拼讀規(guī)律正確發(fā)音,熟悉詞性及詞義。而大部分學困生就是因為記不住單詞,掌握不住詞性慢慢的趕不上英語學習的進程而拖了班級的后退。最終導致英語課堂聽不懂。想學也來不及。(二)建立師生間的和諧互動是轉(zhuǎn)化的實質(zhì)

1.教師以飽滿的精神狀態(tài)上好每一堂課,從儀表到一言一行向?qū)W生傳遞出熱愛并熱衷于教學活動的信息,積極參與教學活動,是教學成功發(fā)展的第一步。2.絕大部分學生反對“填鴨式”的教學方法。因此教師在教學中應注重教學方法和藝術(shù),以簡潔、明快、幽默的語言,并且把教學活動搞得生動有趣。根據(jù)初中生表現(xiàn)欲強的特點,組織學生表演有關(guān)問路,購物,打電話,看醫(yī)生等交際性強的活動,且引入競爭機制,并給予一定的獎勵,則更能激起學生的學習積極性,消除學生的厭學,棄學情緒。

3.有效的溝通促成和諧的師生關(guān)系。在課堂教學中教師必須做到讓學生各有所得,而不能只顧幾個優(yōu)秀生。沒有什么東西比成功更能鼓勵進一步追求成功的努力,增強后進生的學習自信心。對后進生的點滴進步教師應及時予以表揚和鼓勵,讓他們體驗到成功的喜悅。在課堂教學中,對后進生的大膽參與教師應給予“特殊的評價”。

從心理上來講,后進生更需要教師的關(guān)心和尊重,只有在人格上受到尊重和愛護,他們才能在輕松和諧的學習環(huán)境中愉快地學習。

消除英語教學中的兩極分化現(xiàn)象是一項長期而又十分艱辛、細致的工作,決非數(shù)月悉心指導,半載嚴格訓練所能奏效的,而應堅持不懈,努力實踐,盡量避免學生兩極分化。

另外,在教學過程中教師還應注意觀察學生的變化,即使是點滴的變化也不容忽視,然后及時調(diào)整教學方法及目標。

總之,只有消除英語教學的兩極分化,提高全體學生的英語水平,才有利于我國英語水平的整體提高,有利于加快我國現(xiàn)代化建設(shè)的步伐。

隨著信息時代的到來和教育教學改革的深入,多媒體教學已成為教學現(xiàn)代化的標志之一。它作為一種現(xiàn)代化、信息化的教學手段,在英語教學過程中以其獨特的魅力,頗受廣大教師的青睞。是否利用多媒體教學甚至已成為評價課堂質(zhì)量的重要標準之一,它自身所具有的形象性、直觀性、應用面廣、信息量大、知識結(jié)構(gòu)新、效率高等特點對提高英語教學效率,促進英語教學質(zhì)量的提高,的確發(fā)揮其舉足輕重的作用。于是在英語課堂中大量無選擇的、有時甚至沒有必要的情況下仍使用多媒體,使我們英語課堂失去了生機,使學生的發(fā)散性、創(chuàng)造性思維受到抑制,干擾學生學習的主動性和創(chuàng)造性。那么如何掌控多媒體的應用,從而取得“最優(yōu)”的教學效果?筆者認為,我們要做到幾個“勿讓”。

一、勿讓課件片面新穎性,分散學生注意力

多媒體能運用圖、形、聲、色等多種形式來展示傳統(tǒng)教學手段中所不能展示的內(nèi)容。但有的老師總覺得一堂多媒體課如果不追求漂亮、華麗、高科技,如果沒有幾段電影剪輯或音樂片段或幾張甚至十幾張精美的圖片的展示,就有愧于“多媒體”這三個字。在這種思想指導下,于是把界面搞得五彩繽紛,繁雜艷麗,從圖、形、聲、色 各方面來“狂轟濫炸”。而處于青春期的學生對新鮮事物多易產(chǎn)生獵奇的心理,這無疑極大分散了學生的注意力,享受太多感官刺激的同時,忽略了對教學內(nèi)容的深入理解,尤其教學重、難點易被弱化,嚴重影響了英語課堂教學效果。因此,多媒體應以精簡為原則,突出教學主題、重點、難點,藝術(shù)性、教育性和科學性有機統(tǒng)一,才能取得“最優(yōu)”的教學效果,從而達到真正的教學目的。

二、勿讓“課件”代替“備課”

多媒體課件制作需要充足的資料,因而制作它往往會花很多時間,有的老師甚至一味地花時間制課件,而忽視了備課這一重要環(huán)節(jié)。錯誤地認為制課件的過程就是備課的過程。現(xiàn)代教育理論認為,備課是尋求、搜索、構(gòu)造、備選教學方法的過程,同時也是一個檢驗、評價、挑選滿意的過程。可以說備課是整個教學過程的總策劃和總設(shè)計。雖然決定一堂課質(zhì)量好壞的因素有很多,但備課是非常重要的條件,中學英語教師應以深入研究教材和學生為第一任務(wù),在備好教材、教法和學生的基礎(chǔ)上,再恰當、科學地制作多媒體課件,以此來輔助英語課堂教學,進而提高課堂效率和教學質(zhì)量。

三、勿讓“屏幕”代替“黑板”

現(xiàn)在的多媒體英語課,老師“塵滿面,灰滿身”的現(xiàn)象已很少見了。有的老師把該板書的知識點、詞匯、問答及練習材料全都輸入電腦中,課堂上鼠標一點,所有的內(nèi)容都通過大屏幕一一顯示,這樣雖快捷、美觀、便利、省時、省力,可屏幕上的內(nèi)容一幕幕一閃而過,學生恐怕想記筆記都來不及,又怎能對整堂課的教材重點、難點掌握和運用?雖然教師的粉筆字沒有電腦中完美的字體漂亮,但有老師的個性體驗,讓學生感到親切,對學生有較強的感染力。優(yōu)秀的板書設(shè)計,教師還可以根據(jù)學生提出的疑問隨時調(diào)整,修改其內(nèi)容;課堂中即興發(fā)揮,順手在黑板上寫幾個字或畫一幅簡畫,都可以向?qū)W生展現(xiàn)教師的人格魅力和親和力。這對提高課堂教學有益而無害。因此,傳統(tǒng)的板書是不可能在多媒體上進行的。在課堂教學中應根據(jù)其內(nèi)容來選用,既使用屏幕,又在需要時使用黑板,則能達到魚和熊掌兼得的效果,讓每一節(jié)英語課都能給學生留下點美好的記憶。

四、勿讓教師成為“放映員”

多媒體在英語課堂的運用,目的是創(chuàng)設(shè)更好的情景,讓學生在逼真的情境中表演、操練,從而達到培養(yǎng)學生的語感,增強學生的口語及聽力,提高他們的交際能力,進而改變現(xiàn)代中學生會學不會說的“啞巴英語”現(xiàn)狀。然而在英語課堂中,科學、合理地運用多媒體,使其發(fā)揮應有的作用,并不是所有的英語教師都能做得很好。有的教師在所有的教學步驟和環(huán)節(jié)中過多地運用多媒體,英語課變成了課件展示課。教師只需忙著播放預先制作的課件或剪輯的資料,無須太多的語言講解,一切盡在“影片”中,什么教學目標、教學重點、難點、知識點,都像放電影一樣那么快,一閃而過。把學生變成教師課件的“觀眾”和“聽眾”,教師也成了課件“放映員”,導致學生和教師、學生和學生本應親切的口語交流變成冰冷冷的人機對話。我們知道,人與人之間的自然語言是最具親和力,最靈活的語言。師生之間課堂互動性的交流應該是最有效的教和學的途徑。在課堂教學過程中,教師的一個微笑、一個手勢、一個簡單的動作,在提高教學效果中都會起著重要的作用。因此,教師應該根據(jù)教學需要正確運用多媒體,課堂可以沒有多媒體,但不能沒有教師。

五、勿讓學生失去學習的主體性

新課程的英語教學是以弘揚學生為主體為宗旨,課堂教學是師生互動、共同探究、共同創(chuàng)新的過程。在這個過程中,教師是指導者、組織者,引導學生走進課堂,指導學生去發(fā)現(xiàn)問題并確立學習目標,引導學生多思善問,使學生在循循善誘下主動、活躍地參與學習。也就是說,我們的英語課堂是學生的舞臺,在教師的引導下,學生可以在這個舞臺上,盡情發(fā)揮他們的主體性和創(chuàng)造性。而多媒體是為了產(chǎn)生預定的教學效果而使用的一種輔助手段。目前有許多教師盲目依賴多媒體,把“輔助”當做“替代”,主導整個課堂教學過程,教師和學生幾乎都退居“二線”。學生和教師都被多媒體牽著鼻子走,學生在多媒體世界里應接不暇,思維速度跟不上播放的速度,根本沒有足夠的時間去深入思考,只能順著多媒體中的設(shè)計作一些簡單的“人機對答”。整堂課下來,教師根本沒有關(guān)注學生在每個環(huán)節(jié)中的學習狀態(tài)和學習方法。在這“以學生為中心”的英語課堂教學的今天,是有百害而無一利的,我們不能以“多媒體的流程圖”來主宰我們的課堂。

總之,在英語課堂教學中應根據(jù)具體內(nèi)容,恰當使用多媒體來輔助教學,科學、合理地將多媒體及其他教學因素糅合在一起,真正發(fā)揮多媒體輔助英語教學的有利作用,不僅能為課堂添光增彩,而且往往會起到畫龍點睛、撥云見日的效果。這樣才能真正提高課堂效率,提高教學質(zhì)量。

新時代語文教師素養(yǎng)初探 天景中學陽小玲

在傳統(tǒng)的語文教學中,教師負責教,學生負責學,教學就是教師對學生單向的“培養(yǎng)”活動,它表現(xiàn)為:一是以教為中心,學圍繞教轉(zhuǎn)。二是以教為基礎(chǔ),先教后學。總之,傳統(tǒng)語文教學只是教與學兩方面的機械疊加。

在長達半個世紀的思考后,葉圣陶先生概括出 “教是為了大到不需要教”這一至理箴言,他認為教學必須確定學生的主體地位,必須讓學生養(yǎng)成學習語文的良好習慣,必須樹立生活本源觀,同時實現(xiàn)不教的關(guān)鍵在于教師素質(zhì)的提高。

下面從新時代語文教師所需具備的素養(yǎng)角度出發(fā),來談?wù)剬θ~老這一教育思想的認識。

一、語文教師的理念轉(zhuǎn)變

我們都熟知“教是為了不教”的教育教學原則,但我們好多語文教師的教學觀念卻是:我講,你聽;我問,你答;我寫,你抄;我給,你收。走講課堂,我們常常會看到這樣的現(xiàn)象:上課一開始,學生似乎都會了,都懂了,但教師事先已辛辛苦苦地備了很詳盡的教案,只好生拉硬扯地把學生拉回來,讓學生“假裝不懂”。在這樣的語文課堂上“雙邊活動”變成了“單邊活動”,教師越教,學生越不愛學。教代替了學,學生是被教會,而不是自己學會,更不用說會學了。

其實,我們語文教師首先應在備課中從“以學生為主體”的理念去創(chuàng)新、設(shè)計教學方案,使教師充當參與、促進和指導的角色。教師不僅要考慮課堂上讓學生學什么,怎樣學,更應考慮這樣的學習對學生的發(fā)展有什么作用,要時時把學生的需要放在首位。學生對后來知識的學習,必須在已經(jīng)有的知識基礎(chǔ)上進行。

因此,正確分析學生已有的知識基礎(chǔ)就顯得格外重要。學生所具有的知識基礎(chǔ),不光只有在教材中學到的,來自學生生活經(jīng)驗的知識基礎(chǔ)分析也同樣重要,教師對此不應忽視。

總之,語文教師需盡快轉(zhuǎn)變傳統(tǒng)的教育理念,在教學過程中落實“以學生發(fā)展為本”的理念,才能真正實現(xiàn)“教是為了不教”的育人目的。

二、語文教師的角色轉(zhuǎn)換

“教,是為了不教”,我們知道,教師作為知識傳授者的角色是不能被淘汰的,不管怎么說,首先還得“教”,關(guān)鍵在于“教”什么,怎么“教”。如果只是一味地教給學生知識,那教師就只好一輩子“教”了,而如果像陶行知先生說的:“先生的責任不在教,而在教學生學”,教師教的可是探求知識的方法,那可真就可以“不教”了,這叫會“偷懶”。“懶惰”的教師培養(yǎng)勤快的“學生”,這句國外的諺語正是教師要放手讓學生獨立完成任務(wù)的意思,與葉老先生的觀點不謀而合。具體地說,在語文課堂教學中,我們必須改變教師唱“獨腳”大包大攬的主角地位,擔當起在知識探索、能力培養(yǎng)上的主導作用。

例如:朗讀背誦課文;研讀各類文體的課文時,如何質(zhì)疑設(shè)問,如何尋找答案,如何進行文章和語言、寫法的賞析;如何筆記,如何整理知識,如何復習;這些都有法可循,但學生不是生來就會,讓學生自己摸索,誠然能訓練能力,但學生的經(jīng)歷和時間有限,最終形成的學習能力和學習效率無疑是很低的。因此,教師的主導作用,不是去給學生分析課文,而是指導學生在“自主合作探究”學習中,學會運用一些學習方法,并運用這些方法更廣泛的去做學習上的“自主合作探究”。

“授之以魚,不如授之以漁”,我們分析課文只是給學生一條“死魚”,我們教會學生學習方法,是給學生“漁”,讓學生成為一個真正的捕魚能手。與此同時,還能鼓勵學生在運用一些現(xiàn)成方法學習中找到更適合自己的學習方法。

三、語文教師的能力提升

“以己之昏昏,焉能使人之昭昭”。要教會學生,教師先要會。因此,語文教師就不能滿足于會講——把參考資料搬到教案上,又“販”到課堂上,而應該實實在在學點看家的本領(lǐng)——離開教參能品出文章的“味”來,提起筆來能寫出“自己”的文來。柯瓦列夫曾說過:“教師應當知道的東西,要大大超過要教給學生的范圍,要具有更寬廣的科學視野,否則,他就不能喚起和發(fā)展對本門學科的興趣,就不能滿足他們的需要。”興趣是最好的教師,學生往往對某些課外知識很感興趣,在課堂教學中,如果語文教師只局限于教材而不適當拓寬,學生學得索然寡味,效果自然好不到哪里去。要提高文學素養(yǎng),要拓寬文化視野,還得聽從魯迅教導“讀書要像蜜蜂采蜜一樣雜采眾家”,多看“閑書”,除了經(jīng)典名著外,語文教師還應該讀精的、新的、富有鮮明時代特色的當代優(yōu)秀作品,凡是學生應該讀的、適合學生讀的、學生喜歡讀的,教師都必須讀。

語文教師也只有“博觀約取”,才能“厚積薄發(fā)”,做到會寫、善寫,進而用自己的寫帶動學生去寫,使學生學寫有法可依,有章可循。

教學是教與學的交往、互動,對新時代語文教師而言,交往意味著上課不僅是傳授知識,而是一起分享理解,促進學習;上課不是單向的付出,而是生命活動、專業(yè)成長和自我實現(xiàn)的過程;交往還意味著教師角色定位的轉(zhuǎn)換:教師由教學中的主角轉(zhuǎn)向“平等中的首席”,由傳統(tǒng)的知識傳授者轉(zhuǎn)向現(xiàn)代的學生發(fā)展的促進者。

這將是一條漫長而曲折的路,需要我們共同努力,把握住教師理念轉(zhuǎn)變、角色轉(zhuǎn)換,以及自身能力的提升,讓學生自主學習真正落到實處,實現(xiàn)從“教”到“不教”的飛躍。
