《小學牛津英語》的特點結構體系及其教學方法
1.啟蒙階段的《?!?/p>
1)激發興趣、感受英語、培養習慣
剛進入小學學習的孩子在注意力,記憶力,觀察力,認識能力及學習能力方尚不能適應學校的習生活。他們好動,歡說,表現欲強,對新鮮事物感興趣,但注意力持續不長久。外語對他們是一門完全陌生的學課,剛開始他們會覺得新鮮,如果一開始不注意教學方法
一味強調學習的目的性,要求他們做到這做到的積極性
不利于以后的那,必定會給他們的學習帶來壓力,影響他們學習外學習。因此我們把“啟蒙階段”的學習目標定為“激發學習興趣,感受英語,養成良好的學習習慣,讓他們喜歡
英語”。根據這一目標,首先在課文的安排上,是把孩子們最感興趣的話題作為課文內容,如My body, My family, My room, My ability, Play time, New Year, Small animal, Birthday party等等。每課配上Let's act, Let's talk, Let's learn, 以及Let's play 和 Let's enjoy。加上課文中簡單的句子,和美麗的圖畫,讓學生學習日常生活中基本的語言表達。如I like…, Give me…, Look at…, Go to…, I am…, You are…, I can…, I see…等等。這些句子學習以后馬上可在生活中運用,所
只要經過老師適當的引導,創設一定的情景,學生說英語的積極性即會表現出來。應該說明的是所有的學習內容沒有語法要求,只要求學生聽聽說說,模仿操練,提供活動平臺。只是到二年級才有少量的書寫。因為“啟蒙階段”的教材這一特點,教材提供的形式生動活潑,有說
有問答,有唱,表演,所以只要老師注意方法,根據不同的學生情況,合理安排教學內容,充分激發學生的學習興趣,調動他們的學習潛力,定會達到預定目的。
2)老師應是準確

應該注意的是,雖然一、二年級課文的語言要求簡單,但從讓學生感受英語,培養他們良好學習習慣上講,老師應該十分注意語言輸出和輸入的準確性。為此首先是要求老師有準確的語言表達能力,包括單詞和句子的正確朗讀。如果可能,單詞朗讀可以演為單詞的拼讀,這樣可讓學生為以后的詞匯學習打下基礎。而句子的朗讀應注意意群停頓及升降調,從一開始就培養學生良好的朗讀習慣。另外,兒歌的朗誦除了要求語音語調準確外,還應該注意朗讀的節奏感,讓學生覺得有趣,朗讀起來朗朗上口,以至喜歡讀。此外,語速的快慢變化,朗讀時的變聲,都調動學生學習興的好辦法。很簡單的學習內容可以通過變化創造出精彩的學習形式,起到事半功倍的效果。另外學生的學習能力各有不同,老師應十分注意利用他們的非智力因素,發揮他們的特長,引發他們的學習興趣。需要說明的是,一、二年級學生的英語測試應以聽說為主,以直觀的畫畫連連形式為輔,千萬不能把成人的考試模式用在他們身上。我們
目的只要他們喜歡學英語,有了這第一步,以后的路就好走了。
2.入門階段的《?!?/p>
進入小學三年級,學生的學習習慣和學習能力以及自控能力有了明顯的改善,他們的外語學習進入了一個新的階段,此時的外語教學應該體現外語學習的規律“循環、重復、積累、提高”。為此,從三年級起《?!方滩牡摹敖ㄖK”體系就是遵循這一規律安排的。上面已就這一體系的情況作了分析。應該說明的是三年級《?!返慕虒W可分為兩種情況。一種是以三年級為起始年級,即零起點學英語,另一種是已有一、二年級基礎學生學英語。
1)“零起點”的教學安排
因為沒有一、二年級“啟蒙”階段的經歷和準備,對零起點學生來說他們對英語學習沒有感性認識,們對外語學習的認識僅僅停留在好奇和有趣的情況中。此時他們學英語會有一時的習沖動和積極性。因此,老師要十分注意把握好教學安排和教學要求,千方百計地保護好學生的積極性,引導好他們的學習興趣,讓他們覺得外語學習不但有趣,還很有用,認識到雖然外語學習對他們有一定的困難,但經過努力完全能學習好。千萬不能要求初學英語的三年級學生一開始立即進入全面學習的要求。如果一下子學習內容多,學習形式過于多樣化,他們會適應不了,再加上考試和太多的作業會讓他們覺得困難,結果是學生一開始有的興趣和積極性會喪失殆盡,學習動力無從談起。解決好這部分學生的情況,一方面老師要在認真分析教材的基礎上,學會根據學生實際情況對每個Unit的內容做出主次之分,并作必要的刪減,以便在教學中突出重,在有限的教學時間中,讓學生達到基本要求。另方面在這一階段,老師千萬要用好教學手段,努力用學生喜聞樂見的方法,把學習變成生動活潑的活動,激發學生參與教學,努力把教學內容體現在這些活動中。下面以3A M1 U4 “Saying and doing”為例,作具體的分析說明。

本課中包括的教學內容有:Say a rhyme, Now Listen!Learn the letters, Look and learn, Say and act, Ask and answer, Say and act 和Make a play八個欄目。這么多的教學內容對三年級剛開始學外語的學生來說內容是多了。為解決這一矛盾,我們可以作如下調整。把Say a rhyme刪去,因為兒歌中涉及到oneten十個數詞,雖然可能不一定達到四會要求,但對這十個數詞一點不陌生。這樣他們在學Say a rhyme不會有困難。相反通過這首兒歌學
可以復習單詞,起到溫故而知新的作用。如果老師引導得得當,配上相應的動作,學生在說說做做的活動中學習積極性定會提高,并激發起他們的表現欲,產生成就感。
接下去的Look and learn 和Say and act及Ask and answer是教學中的習得,模仿,運用語的一個完整過程,是本課的主要學習內容,老師應該重點安排好教學時間,通過操練帶動學習,讓盡可能多的學生參與活動,使不同能力的學生在這個活動中都有練習的機會。在基本掌握Say and act的基礎上,可以讓學生進入Ask and answer欄目。此欄目要求學生自主完成,先讓有能力的學生作示范,帶動其他生。也可開展結對或者小組活動,讓學生相互幫助,相互補充,使每個學生都有練習的機會。如果有條件,可引導學生在Ask and answer的對話中適當地增加語言輸出,擴大對話的內容。
《小學牛津英語》的特點結構體系及其教學方法
例如 Open the window.中加入It is hot.Open the window, please.又如可說:The table is dirty.Clean the table, please.又如Hi, grandma.Close the door, please.等等。總之老師應想方設法調動一切積極因素,創造條件發揮學生的積極性,有了學習積極性他們可能表現出老師意想不到的潛能,產生積極的學習效果。
這里要說明的是課文中Now Listen!欄目可以根據需要安排在不同的教
段,不必拘泥于它在課文中的位置。我們認為本課中的Now Listen放在Make a play(做游戲)之前好,因為聽力內容基本上符合游戲要求。總之,雖然《牛》課文已為我們提供了各種形式的欄目,但老師還是可以根據實際情況調整欄目,努力達到最佳的教學效果。
五、《?!返脑u價特點
1. 課堂教學的即時反饋
傳統的學習評價是通過考試反映學生的成績,以此了解他們的學習情況。這種方法是我們評價學生學習的主要手段。但小學《?!窞槲覀兲峁┝艘环N思路,這就是時反饋學生學習情況的目的,這種方法可讓老師在教學中及時了解教學得失,并可隨時做出調整,以適應學生需要。這一情況體現在欄目的安排中,我們結合課文重點,在設置欄目時用
同形式,或是要求學生完成的語言練習,或是
達到及時真實地反映學生學習實要求學生進行筆頭練習,甚至通過游戲或調查際情況。
以3A M3 U1 My school 為例,整篇課文分兩個板塊,一是課文學習板塊,內容是有關學校的介紹,在學習了相關的句型和詞匯后,通過學生指圖,聽問句作回答的方 法,檢查學習
果。另一是復習板塊,為此課文安排了一個游戲活動,以此檢查學生掌握有關數詞和文具名稱的單詞的掌握情況,這種反饋形式簡單易行,又及時,淡化了考查形式,能真實反映學生的實際情況,因此,老師在教中應該注意利用好教材中提供的評價方式。
2.課文結束后的自我評測
《?!氛n本的結尾處有Student's self-assessment sheet(學生自我測評)。這一形式是在學生每課學習以后,對學習情況做一自我評估。這一形式強調的是“自我”目的是讓學生了解自己在本課中的學習情況,為下一步學習做準備。Self-assessment體現了學生的自主性,它是一種主要的“學習評價”,符合以學生為主體的教學理念。
3.怎樣完成“課題”

學生獨立完成的Project(課題)?!罢n題”是在學
擴展性內容,把學習內容生完成某一課學習之后,根據課文內容,要求學生完擴展用到實踐中去,以檢查學生的學習能力和知識拓展能力,這也是一種學習評價形式。Project不是每課都有的,而是為有條件擴展課文設置的。例如學習了Insect(昆蟲)要求學生進一步了解不同昆蟲的顏色,生活的地方,它們的形態,并從報刊雜志中收集有關圖片等等。這些內容超出了學生的認知范圍,但學生可以借助圖書,電腦尋找有關資料,完成相關練,其目的就是培養學生的學習能
輔助作用,他們力,提出問題,解決問題的能力。在Project活動中,老師僅只是指導鼓勵學生,在必要時幫助學生。
《?!范喾N形式的評價方法為教學反饋提供了即時信息,老師在結合傳統評價的基礎上,應用好《?!分械脑u價方法,它們結合在教學中,通過這些反饋及時調整教學,并以此為根據為提高課堂效率提供新的思路。

由于《?!氛n文形式和欄目安排的多種化,因此要用好用活這些教學材料,要求老師在教學中當好組
者和策劃者,真正貫徹老師為主導,學生為主體的教學
這一教學效原則,使課堂教學處于師生雙向交流,互動共進的氣氛之中。要達果,老師首先要了解學生,根據學生的特點,充分利用《牛》提供的教學資源,安排好教學環節,創設情景,提供給學生交流的平臺,激發學生的學習興趣,調動他們學習的積極性。例如低年級的學生要
用活動形式。但由于他們年齡小,自控能力差,因此在活動中老師要做好組織協調工作,努力讓活動有序進行,只有這樣才能達到預期的教學效果。又如進行“入門階段”學習的學生已有了自主學習能力,此時老師應該組織他們在結對和小組活動中互相啟發互相發展,讓他們充分發揮自己的才能。
2.老師應較強的語言能力
