摘 要

厄內斯特.海明威（1899---1961）是美國二十世紀著名作家，在世界文壇上，他享有很高的聲譽。《老人與海》是海明威與晚年證明自己創作實力的杰作，并且充分體現了他的人生哲學,它也是美國價值的精髓。

本論文主要是通過對桑提亞哥這個人物形象的分析來展開的。通過對海明威所處的社會環境和其人生經歷的研究，說明了海明威的人生哲學形成的背景。并進一步通過桑提亞哥與大海、鯊魚和小男孩之間的關系來反映海明威的人生哲學。小男孩代表著人類的精神的生生不息，大海則象征著險惡與多變的環境，面對浩瀚的大海，桑提亞哥所表現出的態度，他充分表現了人類的一種精神，敢于同大自然、惡劣的環境和多桀的命運作斗爭的精神，充分展現了人的智慧、剛毅與堅忍。不僅是歌頌一種“硬漢”精神，它有著更加深層的涵義，它深刻地反映了作者的人生哲學和生活觀，即：在殘酷的社會現實和命運之中，人應該勇敢地面對一切痛苦和磨難，并同一切痛苦和磨難進行斗爭，熱愛生活，珍惜生命。人生的意義既不在于“成功”，也不在于“失敗”，而在于斗爭，勇于同殘酷的社會現實和冷漠無情的命運進行抗爭，這才是真正地熱愛生活、珍惜生命。

Abstract

Ernest Hemingway（1899-1961）is a famous writer in American in the 20th century.Hemingway’s philosophy of life has a profound influence on modern American values.At the same time, it has extensive significance on the whole world;you will learn how to adopt a correct attitude towards failure, and how to struggle in adversity.His “code hero”----Santiago is a guide to all human beings.He represents the spirit of the time.And the novel The Old Man and the Sea has brought luster to the realistic literature.Among his books ,The Old Man and the Sea（1952）is the most famous one.The works made Hemingway win the Nobel Prize in 1954.And the main character-Santiago becomes the typical“code hero”in literature.The work aroused interest of many readers, and many critics have made comments on it.But these comments from critics mostly talk about his“code hero”and “lost generation”.In fact, the work deeply reveals Hemingway’s philosophy of life and life attitude.This thesis intends to reach a thorough understanding of Hemingway’s philosophy of life through the novel The Old Man and the Sea: when facing the cruel social reality and miserable fate, man should be brave and struggle with all the pains and sufferings, loving life and treasuring life.The

英語基礎課教學模式研究

1語言知識、文化知識的講授

1.1基礎英語課應重視語言知識的講授和語言技能的培養

(1)語音知識的掌握是專業英語的第一步，也是至關重要的一步。語音的好壞直接關系到學生聽力水平、口語水平以及閱讀速度和理解效率的提高。“人們發出的音，其傳遞的過程就是接收者聽的過程。沒有良好的語音基礎，就無法把單詞的音和義聯系起來，就會嚴重影響聽力水平的提高。因此，學好語音，是提高聽力的基礎，對最終提高聽力起著決定性的作用。”(郭瑞芝，2003)而基礎英語又是聽、說、讀、寫、譯的綜合學習與提高，所以語音知識的講授對學生是十分重要的，尤其是對重音的掌握。一些單詞由于重音不同，詞性、詞義就會發生變化。語音、語調的準確度也會影響學生對課文理解的準確程度。

(2)語法是語言學家對語言本身規律的系統化的歸納總結。教師教授語法知識的過程就是學生對該門語言內在規律的學習和掌握過程。教師一定要讓學生把課堂中所學的語法知識運用到閱讀和寫作之中，達到鞏固和熟練的程度。在基礎英語課上，教師更應該鼓勵和引導學生說出、寫出符合語法規則的句子。

(3)英語專業一、二年級的一項基本任務就是擴大學生的詞匯量，而基礎英語則是詞匯知識學習的重要途徑之一，也是基礎英語課的重點內容之一。中學階段，學生雖然積累了一定數量的詞匯，但詞匯意義比較單一。上大學以后，作為英語專業的學生，要想在英語聽、說、讀、寫、譯能力方面有較大的提高，就必須擴大詞匯量，豐富詞匯知識。

1.2基礎英語課應融入文化知識的講授和學習

語言本身是一種外在表現形式，一種載體，一種外殼，其內在富含著很多內容，包羅萬象。其中有百科知識、社會文化，更有著人們對生活的哲理和智慧，這就要求基礎英語課教師在教授語言知識的同時，要融入文化知識的講授與學習。語言的內涵是知識與文化，而語言是不能離開知識與文化的;離開了內容，運載工具是沒有意義的，是空的。教師一定要讓學生了解語言的文化背景、中西文化的差異，從而提高學生的人文素養，增強實踐能力，培養創新精神。

2基礎英語課堂中情感教育的融入

(1)教師利用課文內容進行情感教育。筆者所在的延安大學外國語學院英語專業所用的基礎英語課本是由外語教學與研究出版社出版的《現代大學英語精度》。現就第一冊的第二課為例，對利用課文內容進行情感教育進行分析。

第二課(GoingHome)教師在分析完全文后可讓學生對文章主題進行歸納總結。學生在熟悉文

章故事情節的基礎上很容易就會總結出“Forgiveness”是通篇的主題。教師可引導學生就這一話題展開討論，讓學生明白人與人之間的諒解是十分重要的，也是人能夠快樂生活的一項重要法則。同時教師還可以引導學生對那四個熱心的年輕人進行分析，得出人與人之間應該存有信任和熱情。進而，引申到學生的日常生活中，鼓勵學轉自http://生用一顆善良的心對待周圍的人和事。學會包容和原諒別人的錯誤。

(2)教師用自身的眼神、表情及課堂用語直接影響學生的情緒。情緒是調動語言交際的有利手段。教師如果能在課堂上營造一種友好、寬松、自由的表達氛圍，就會最大程度的調動學生學習的主動性和積極性。“因為輕松的氣氛能開啟人的左腦(主管語言)和嘴唇”。加之教師帶有啟發性的提問和鼓勵性的眼神、表情更會使學生處于一種躍躍欲試的學習狀態中，從而敢于表達、愿意表達。

(3)大學生正處于思維活躍期，對呆板、教條的教學模式充滿了排斥。教師可結合所講授的內容合理的加入“對話表演”、“游戲”、“辯論”、“唱歌”、“自由談話”等形式，讓學生在課堂上保持新鮮感和愉悅感，從而減少中國學生在語言學習過程中的“矜持”和“被動”，讓學生的思維動起來。這樣會更有利于開啟學生的表達能力，調動學生語言學習的積極性和主動性。

教師在繼續保持基礎英語課，重視聽、說、讀、寫、譯綜合能力培養的同時，融入情感教育，使課堂氣氛活躍起來，把學生的求知激情、創新能力和語言潛力充分調動起來。讓學生在快樂中學習知識，提高自身的綜合素質。

3多媒體的應用

語言知識的學習是多種形式下的語言信息的傳入。教師可通過多種感官，用多種信息形式向學生提供信息。多媒體技術正是具有這種能力的一種技術。

首先，教師可利用多媒體激發學生的學習興趣。我國現階段的英語專業基礎英語教學，雖然已經逐漸擺脫了“以教師為中心”的傳統教學模式，但大部分基礎英語教師已經形成了固定的課堂模式。(教師以各種形式，從課文中列出語言點、重點、難點句子，通過講解和練習來幫助學生掌握這些語言點，弄懂句子，理解文章中心。學生課后則困在記單詞、詞組和語法規則的學習任務里。結果是老師教的辛苦，學生學的乏味。)學習最終成了苦差事，學生也就失去了語言學習的積極性和主動性。多媒體的介入，改變了這種尷尬的境地，讓一節課有多個興奮點以激發學生的思維，提高學生對語言的興趣。通過多媒體，可以給學生提供圖文并茂、動靜結合、視聽并用的語言素材(如時代背景、角色、形象、心理活動等)，大大提高了教學效果。尤其是對英語基礎較差的同學，通過這種方式學生會更容易理解消化所學內容，激發他們的學習興趣。

其次，教師可通過多媒體教學加大課容量。基礎英語教學的一個顯著特點就是信息輸入量大。多媒體教學大大加大了課堂信息量的輸入，有利于拓寬學生的知識面。傳統的教學模式通常是“一張嘴，一支粉筆，一塊黑板”。教師如果利用多媒體輔助課堂教學，就可以將以前需要在黑板上抄寫的大量教學內容實現做在課件上，上課時鼠標輕輕一動，教學內容就立刻出現在屏幕上，節省了大量的板書時間，從而大大增加了課堂容量，豐富了教學內容，教師也就可以把更多的時間放在其它內容的講解上，更好的開展教學活動。

4結語

基礎英語課程在英語專業的重要地位決定了其教學模式必須在不斷的探索實踐中一步步改進、完善。也只有在不懈的實踐中，才能最大限度的實現基礎英語課教學任務的目標，最終促使英語學習者英語水平和綜合素質的整體提高。
