Round One: Achieving Prosperity The question is about putting more money into the Americans’ pockets.First we have to build an economy that works for everyone, not just those at the top. That means we need more jobs, good jobs with rising incomes.I want us to invest in you.I want us to invest in your future. That means jobs in infrastructure and in mass manufacturing, in innovation and technology, clean renewable energy and in small businesses because most of the jobs will come from small business. We also have to make the economy fairer. That starts with raising the national minimum wage and also guarantee finely equal pay for women‘’s work.I also wane see more companies do profit sharing. If you helped make the profit you should be able to share them, not just the executives at the top.And I want us to do more to support people who are struggling to balance family and work.I’ve heard from so many of you about the difficulties you face and the stresses you' re under. And let’s have paid family leave, earned sick days.Let’s make sure we have affordable childcare and debt-free college. How are we gone do it ? We' re gonna do it by making the wealthy pay their fair share, close the corporate loopholes. Our jobs are fleeing the country. They are going to Mexico. They are going to many other countries. You look at what China' s doing to our country in terms of making our product. They ' re devaluing their currency and there ody in’ours government to fight them. And we have a very good fight and we have a winning fight because they are using our country as a piggy bank to rebuild China and many other countries are doing the same thing. So we are losing our good jobs, so many of them. When you look at what' s happening in Mexico, one of my friend built a plant said it' s the eighth wonder of the world. They're building the big estsome of plants, anywhere in the world, some of the most sophisticated, some of thebest plants. With the United States, as you said, not so much.So Ford is leaving. You see, that, their small cars division, leaving.Thousands of jobs, leaving Michigan, leaving Ohio. They ' re all leaving. And we cannot allow it to happen anymore as far as childcare is concerned and so many other things.I think Hillary and I agree on that and we probably disagree on numbers and amounts and what we're going to do but perhaps we'll talk about that later. But we have to stop our jobs from being stolen from us.We have to stop our companies from leaving the United States, and with it, firing all of their people. All you have to do is take a look at the Carrier air-conditioning in Indianapolis. They left fired 1,400 people. They are going to Mexico. So many, hundreds and hundreds companies are doing this.We cannot let it happen.Under my plan, I' ll be reducing taxes tremendously from 35% to 15% for companies, small and big businesses. That 's gonna be a job creator, like, we haven't seen since Ronald Regan. It going to be a beautiful thing to watch.Companies will come. They will build. They will expand.New companies will start. And I look very very much forward to doing it.We have to renegotiate our trade deals. We have to stop these countries from stealing our companies and our jobs.Round Two: Let's Talk About Race Race remains a significant challenge in our country.Unfortunately race still determines too much.Often determines where people live.Determines what kind of education in their public schools they can get. And, yes, it determines how they’re treated in the criminal justice system. We’ve just seen those tragic examples in both Tulsa and Charlotte. And we’got to do several things at the same time.We have to restore trust between communities and the police. We have to work to assure that our police are using the best training, the best technique, that they' re well prepared to use force only when necessary.Everyone should be respected by the law.And everyone should respect the law.Right now that’s not the case in a lot of our neighborhoods. So I have, ever since the first day of my campaign, called for criminal justice reform.I 've laid out a platform that I think will begin to remedy the problems we have in the criminal justice system. But we also have to recognize that in addition to the challenges we face with policing, there are so many brave, good police officers who equally want reform. So we have to bring communities together in order to work on that as a mutual goal. And we’ve got to get guns out of the hands of the people who should not have them. The gun epidemic is the leading cause of death of young African-American men, more than the next 9 causes put together. So we have to do 2 things as I said.We have to restore trust. We have to work with the police. We have to make sure they respect the communities and the communities respect them. And we have to tackle the plague of gun violence which is a contributor to a lot of problems we are seeing today.First of all, Secretary Clinton dosen law and order. We need law and order. We don't wanna use a couple of words. And that ' t have it.We are not gonna'twanna use a couple of words. And that' t have it.We are not gonna'twanna use a couple of words. And that’t have it.We are not gonna'have a country And when I look at what 's going on in Charlotte, the city I lovthe, city I have investments, when I look at what's going on through various parts of our country, whether it' s, I mean, I can just keep naming them all day long.We need law and order in our country. And I just got, today, the, eh you know, the endorsement, the fraternal order of police who just came in.We have endorsement from, I think, almost every police group, every, I mean, a lot percentage of them in the United States. We have a situation in which we have, eh, in the city, African-American, Hispanics are living in hell.Because it' s so dangerous.uYowalk down the street, you got shot.In Chicago, they' ve had thousands of shootings, thousands, since January 1st.Thousands of shootings. And I say: where is this? Is this a war-torn country. What are we doing? And we have to stop the violence. We have to bring back law and order in a place like Chicago where thousands of people have been killed, thousands, over the last number of years. In fact, almost 4,000 of people have been killed since Barack Obama became President.Over 4, almost 4,000 people have been killed in Chicago. We have to bring back law and order. Now, whether or not, in a place like Chicago, you do stop and frisk witch worked very well, Mary Julian is here, worked very well in New York.It brought the crime rate way down. But you take the gun away from criminals who shouldn't be having it.We have gangs roaming the street. And in many cases they' re illegally here, illegal immigrants. And they have guns. They shoot people. And we have to be very strong. We have to be very vigilant. We have to be, we have to know what we are doing.Right now our police, in many cases, are afraid to do anything. We have to protect our inner cities because African-American communities are being decimated by crime.Decimated!Round Three: Securing America Hillary:

I think cyber security, cyber warfare will be one of the biggest challenges facing the next president because clearly we are facing at this point 2 different kinds of ad versaries. There are the independent hacking groups that do, mostly, for commercial reasons to try to steal information that they can use to make money. But increasingly we are seeing cyber attacks coming from states, all kinds of states. The most recent and troubling of these are from Russia. There's no doubt now that Russia has used cyber attacks against all kinds of organizations in our country and I am deeply concerned about this.I know Donald' s, very, paise-worthy of Vladimir Putin. But Putin is playing a really tough long game here. And one of the things he's done is to let loose cyber attackers to hack into government files, to hack into personal files, hack into the Democratic National Committee. And we recently have learnt that, you know, this is one of their preferred methods of trying to wreak havoc and collect information. We need to make it very clear, whether it's Russia, China, Iran or anybody else. The United States has a much greater capacity and we are not gonna sit idly by and permit state actors to go after our information, our private sector information and our public sector information. And we are going to have to make it clear that we don' t want to use the kinds of tools that we have to engage in a different kind of warfare. But we will defend the citizens of this country. And the Russians need to understand that.I think they' ve been treating it as it is almost a probing.Howfar will we go? How much will we do? And that's why I was so, I was so shocked when Donald publicly invited Putin to hack into Americans. That is just unacceptable. That’s onereasonsofthewhy 15 national security officials who serve in Republican Information Administration have said that Donald is unfit to be the commander in chief. There’s comments like that really worry people who understand the threats that we face.Trump:

Yeah, I do wanna say that I was just endorsed and more are coming the next week.It will be over 200 admirals, many of them are here, admirals and generals endorsed me to lead this country. That just happened and many more are coming. And I' m very proud of it.In addition I was just endorsed by ICE.They've never endorsed anybody before. On immigration I was just endorsed by ICE.I was just endorsed.7,500 patrol agents. So when Secretary Clinton talks about this I' ll take the admirals and I' ll t generals, any day over the political hacks that I see that has led our country so brilliantly over the last 10 years with their knowledge.Because look at the mess we' re in.Look at the mess we' re in.As long as there's the cyber, I agree to parts of what Secretary Clinton said.We should be better than anybody else and perhaps we’re not.I don't know if anybody knows that it's Russia that broke into the DNC.She saying Russia RussiaRussia. But I don't.Maybe it was.It could be Russia. But t could also be China. It could also be a lot of other people.Could also be somebody sitting on their bed that weighs 400 pounds, OK? You don' t know who broke into DNC.But what do we learn with DNC? We learnt that Bernie Sanders was taken advantage of by your people, by Debbie Wasserman Schultz.Look at what happened to her.But Bernie Sanders was taken advantage of.That's what we learned. Now, whether that was Russia, whether that was China, whether it was another country, we don't know, because the truth is, under President Obama we've lost control of things that we used to have control over.We came in with the Internet, we came up with the Internet, and I think Secretary Clinton and myself would agree very much, when you look at what ISIS is doing with the Internet, they're beating us at our own game.ISIS.So we have to get very, very tough on cyber and cyber warfare. It is — it is a huge problem.I have a son. He's 10 years old.He has computers. He is so good with these computers, it's unbelievable. The security aspect of cyber is very, very tough. And maybe it's hardly doable. But I will say, we are not doing the job we should be doing. But that's true throughout our whole governmental society.

Round One: Achieving Prosperity

The question is about putting more money into the Americans’ pockets.

First we have to build an economy that works for everyone, not just those at the top.

That means we need more jobs, good jobs with rising incomes.

I want us to invest in you.I want us to invest in your future.

That means jobs in infrastructure and in mass manufacturing, in innovation and technology, clean renewable energy and in small businesses because most of the jobs will come from small business.

We also have to make the economy fairer. That starts with raising the national minimum wage and also guarantee finely equal pay for women’s work.

I also wanna see more companies do profit sharing. If you helped make the profit you should be able to share them, not just the executives at the top.

And I want us to do more to support people who are struggling to balance family and work.I’ve heard from so many of you about the difficult choices you face and the stresses you’re under.

And let’s have paid family leave, earned sick days.Let’s make sure we have affordable childcare and debt-free college. How are we gonna do it? We’re gonna do it by making the wealthy pay their fair share, close the corporate loopholes.

Our jobs are fleeing the country. They are going to Mexico. They are going to many other countries.

You look at what China’s doing to our country in terms of making our product.

They’re devaluing their currency and there’s nobody in our government to fight them. And we have a very good fight and we have a winning fight because they are using our country as a piggy bank to rebuild China and many other countries are doing the same thing. So we are losing our good jobs, so many of them. When you look at what’s happening in Mexico, one of my friend built a plant said it’s the eighth wonder of the world. They’re building some of the biggest plants, anywhere in the world, some of the most sophisticated, some of the best plants. With the United States, as you said, not so much.

So Ford is leaving. You see, that, their small cars division, leaving.Thousands of jobs, leaving Michigan, leaving Ohio. They’re all leaving. And we cannot allow it to happen anymore as far as childcare is concerned and so many other things.

I think Hillary and I agree on that and we probably disagree on numbers and amounts and what we’re going to do but perhaps we’ll talk about that later.

But we have to stop our jobs from being stolen from us.We have to stop our companies from leaving the United States, and with it, firing all of their people.

All you have to do is take a look at the Carrier air-conditioning in Indianapolis. They left fired 1,400 people. They are going to Mexico. So many, hundreds and hundreds companies are doing this.We cannot let it happen.

Under my plan, I’ll be reducing taxes tremendously from 35% to 15% for companies, small and big businesses. That’sgonna be a job creator, like, we haven’t seen since Ronald Regan. It’s going to be a beautiful thing to watch.

Companies will come. They will build. They will expand.New companies will start. And I look very very much forward to doing it.

We have to renegotiate our trade deals. We have to stop these countries from stealing our companies and our jobs.

Round Two: Let's Talk About Race

Race remains a significant challenge in our country.Unfortunately race still determines too much.Often determines where people live.Determines what kind of education in their public schools they can get. And, yes, it determines how they’re treated in the criminal justice system.

We’ve just seen those tragic examples in both Tulsa and Charlotte. And we’ve got to do several things at the same time.

We have to restore trust between communities and the police.

We have to work to assure that our police are using the best training, the best technique, that they’re well prepared to use force only when necessary.

Everyone should be respected by the law.And everyone should respect the law.Right now that’s not the case in a lot of our neighborhoods.

So I have, ever since the first day of my campaign, called for criminal justice reform.

I’ve laid out a platform that I think will begin to remedy the problems we have in the criminal justice system.

And we have to tackle the plague of gun violence which is a contributor to a lot of problems we are seeing today.

First of all, Secretary Clinton dosen’twanna use a couple of words. And that’s law and order. We need law and order. We don’t have it.We are not gonna have a country.

And when I look at what’s going on in Charlotte, the city I love, the city I have investments, when I look at what’s going on through various parts of our country, whether it’s, I mean, I can just keep naming them all day long.We need law and order in our country.

And I just got, today, the, eh you know, the endorsement, the fraternal order of police who just came in.We have endorsement from, I think, almost every police group, every, I mean, a lot percentage of them in the United States. We have a situation in which we have, eh, in the city, African-American, Hispanics are living in hell.

Because it’s so dangerous. You walk down the street, you got shot.

In Chicago, they’ve had thousands of shootings, thousands, since January 1st.Thousands of shootings.

But you take the gun away from criminals who shouldn’t be having it.We have gangs roaming the street. And in many cases they’re illegally here, illegal immigrants. And they have guns. They shoot people.

And we have to be very strong. We have to be very vigilant. We have to be, we have to know what we are doing.

Right now our police, in many cases, are afraid to do anything. We have to protect our inner cities because African-American communities are being decimated by crime.Decimated!

Round Three: Securing America

I think cyber security, cyber warfare will be one of the biggest challenges facing the next president because clearly we are facing at this point 2 different kinds of adversaries.

There are the independent hacking groups that do, mostly, for commercial reasons to try to steal information that they can use to make money.

But increasingly we are seeing cyber attacks coming from states, all kinds of states. The most recent and troubling of these are from Russia.

There’s no doubt now that Russia has used cyber attacks against all kinds of organizations in our country and I am deeply concerned about this.

I know Donald’s, very, paise-worthy of Vladimir Putin. But Putin is playing a really tough long game here.

And one of the things he’s done is to let loose cyber attackers to hack into government files, to hack into personal files, hack into the Democratic National Committee.

And we recently have learnt that, you know, this is one of their preferred methods of trying to wreak havoc and collect information.

We need to make it very clear, whether it’s Russia, China, Iran or anybody else.

The United States has a much greater capacity and we are not gonna sit idly by and permit state actors to go after our information, our private sector information and our public sector information. And we are going to have to make it clear that we don’t want to use the kinds of tools that we have to engage in a different kind of warfare.

But we will defend the citizens of this country. And the Russians need to understand that.

I think they’ve been treating it as it is almost a probing. How far will we go? How much will we do? And that’s why I was so, I was so shocked when Donald publicly invited Putin to hack into Americans.

That is just unacceptable. That’s one of the reasons why 15 national security officials who serve in Republican Information Administration have said that Donald is unfit to be the commander in chief.

There’s comments like that really worry people who understand the threats that we face.

Yeah, I do wanna say that I was just endorsed and more are coming the next week.It will be over 200 admirals, many of them are here, admirals and generals endorsed me to lead this country.

That just happened and many more are coming. And I’m very proud of it.

In addition I was just endorsed by ICE.They’ve never endorsed anybody before. On immigration I was just endorsed by ICE.I was just endorsed.7,500 patrol agents.

So when Secretary Clinton talks about this I’ll take the admirals and I’ll take the generals, any day over the political hacks that I see that has led our country so brilliantly over the last 10 years with their knowledge.

Because look at the mess we’re in.Look at the mess we’re in.As long as there's the cyber, I agree to parts of what Secretary Clinton said.We should be better than anybody else and perhaps we’re not.

I don’t know if anybody knows that it’s Russia that broke into the DNC.She’s saying Russia RussiaRussia. But I don’t.Maybe it was.It could be Russia. But it could also be China. It could also be a lot of other people.Could also be somebody sitting on their bed that weighs 400 pounds, OK?

You don’t know who broke into DNC.But what do we learn with DNC? We learnt that Bernie Sanders was taken advantage of by your people, by Debbie Wasserman Schultz.Look at what happened to her.

But Bernie Sanders was taken advantage of.That's what we learned.

Now, whether that was Russia, whether that was China, whether it was another country, we don't know, because the truth is, under President Obama we've lost control of things that we used to have control over.

We came in with the Internet, we came up with the Internet, and I think Secretary Clinton and myself would agree very much, when you look at what ISIS is doing with the Internet, they're beating us at our own game.ISIS.

So we have to get very, very tough on cyber and cyber warfare.

It is — it is a huge problem.I have a son.He's 10 years old.He has computers.He is so good with these computers, it's unbelievable.

The security aspect of cyber is very, very tough. And maybe it's hardly doable.

But I will say, we are not doing the job we should be doing. But that's true throughout our whole governmental society.

Good morning from Hofstra University in Hempstead, New York.I’m Lester Holt, anchor of “NBC Nightly News”.I want to welcome you to the first presidential debate. The participants tonight are Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton.Let me introduce tonight’s fomulas for you: the debate is divided into three segments, we will explore three topic areas tonight: Achieving prosperity;America’s direction and security America.I will invite you to applaud, at this moment, as we welcome the candidates:Democratic nominee for president of the United States, Hillary Clinton, and Republican nominee for president of the United States, Donald J.Trump.

Clinton: how are you, Donald? Holt:(分別)good luck to you.We are going to focus on many of the issues that voters tell us are most important, and we’re going to press for specifics.Candidates, we look forward to hearing you articulate your policies and your positions, as well as your visions and your values. So, let’s begin. We’re calling this opening segment“Achieving prosperity.”And central to that is jobs.Beginning with you, Secretary Clinton, why are you a better choice than your opponent to create the kinds of jobs that will put more money into the pockets of American works?

Hillary:“First, we have to build an economy that works for everyone not just for those at the top. That means we need new jobs, good jobs, with rising incomes.I want us to invest in you.I want us to invest in your future. That means jobs in infrastructure, in advanced manufacturing, in innovation, in technology, clean renewable energy and small businesses.“ 希拉里:“首先,我們要打造一個為每個人服務的經濟體系,而不僅僅是為了頂層人士。 “We also have to make the economy fairer. That starts with raising the minimum wage and guarantee finally equal pays for women’s work……I also want to see more companies do profit sharing.”

Trump: “Our jobs are fleeing the country.” “You look at what China is doing to our country in terms of making our product. They are de-valuing their currency and there is nobody in our government to fight them.” “They are using our country as a piggy back to build China.” “We are losing our good jobs.So many of them.”

“Under my plan, I’ll be reducing taxes, tremendously, from 35% to 15% for company, small and big businesses.” “We have to renegotiate our trade deals and we have to stop these countries from stealing our companies and jobs.”

How would you force companies to bring jobs back to U.S.?/你要怎么讓公司和工作機會回到美國。

place a substantial tariff on imported goods/對進口貨物加重關稅。 Hillary: “We are 5% of the world’s population. We have to trade with the other 95%,”

Hillary:“9 million people lost their jobs.5 million people lost their homes.”

“Here is what we can do.We can deploy a half billion more solar panels. We can have enough clean energy to power every home.We can build a new modern electrical grid. That’s a lot of jobs. That’s a lot of new economic activity.”

Trump: “She talked about solar panels. We invested in a solar company. That was a disaster. We lost plenty of money on that one.Now look, I am a great believer in all forms of energy. But we are putting a lot of people out of work. Our energy policies are disasters. Our country is losing so much in terms of energy, in terms of paying off our debt.”

“We have to do a much better job at keeping our jobs. And we have to do a much better job at giving companies incentives to building new companies to expand.”

Hillary: ”I think you've just seen another example of bait and switch here,“ Mrs.Clinton says, then launches into the possible reasons why her opponent won't release his taxes.“我認為你又用了誘導轉向法將大家的注意力分散到別處去了,”希拉里說,接著又拋出了幾個為什么特朗普不愿意拿出報稅單的可能的原因。Hillary: ”I have no reason to believe that he's ever going to release his tax returns because there's something he's hiding,' she said.“And we'll guess, we'll keep guessing at what he's hiding.”

Trump:“I will release my tax returns against my lawyers wishes when she releases her 33,000 emails that have been deleted. As soon as she releases them, I will release my tax returns.”

Part 2 Race Relation

Holt:well, I want to move to our next segmenttalking about Amercia’s direction. And let’s start by talking about race. The share of Amercians who say race relations are bad in this country is the highest.it’s been in dacades, much of it amplified by shootings of African-Amercians by police.Race has been a big issue in this campaign, and one of you is going to have to bridge a very wide and bitter gap.So how do you heal the divide?Lady first.Hillary: Race remains a significant challenge in our country and we need to restore trust between community and police. Our police should be retrained to use fore only when necessary.Everybody should acts by the law and respect the law.

Trump: Our society needs law and order. The situation of African-American is that they are living in the hell. The community is dangerous.Thousands of shootings happened in Chicago. We should bring back law and order.Law and order.Illegal immigrants are bad people and they are dangerous, we should take guns away them to protect our inner cities.

Hillary: Such a negative picture of black community. If you are African-American, Spanish, Latino, you are more likely to be arrested. You cannot just say, you need a plan. You need a positive way to work with it.

Trump:Seems like you’ve prepared so much for this debate, huh?

Hillary:Prepare for the debate? I just prepare to be the president.

Part 4:Cyber Attack

Holt asked: “We want to start with a 21st century war happening every day in this country, our institutions are under cyber attack, and our secrets are being stolen. So my question is who's behind it and how do we fight it?”

“There's no doubt now that Russia has used cyber attacks,” Clinton said.“[Russian President Vladimir] Putin is playing a tough, long game here.”

“And we are not going to sit idly by and permit state actors to go after our information, our private sector information or our public sector information, and we're going to have to make it clear that we don't want to use the kinds of tools that we have.We don't want to engage in a different kind of warfare.”

“But we will defend the citizens of this country, and the Russians need to understand that.I think they've been treating it as almost a probing, how far would we go? How much would we do? And that's why I was so, I was so shocked when Donald publicly invited Putin to hack into Americans. That is, that is just unacceptable.“我們將會保護這個國家的公民,俄羅斯必須要明白這一點。

“I don't know if we know it was Russia who broke into the DNC,” he said.“She's saying Russia, Russia, Russia.Maybe it was.It could also be China, it could be someone sitting on their bed that weighs 400 pounds.”

The security aspect of cyber is very, very tough. And maybe it's hardly doable. But I will say, we are not doing the job we should be doing. We have so many things that we have to do better, certainly cyber is one of them."

Part 6:Stamina Holt:Mr.Trump, earlier this month, you said she doesn’t have, quote,“a presidential look.” What did you mean by that?

Trump: She doesn’t have the president look. She doesn’t have the stamina and I don't believe she has.(擴充下,好像有點歪曲原文的意思)特朗普:她長得就沒有總統相。

HOLT: Let’s let her respond.Hillary:As soon as he travels to 112 countries and negotiates a peace deal, a cease fire, or even spends a 11 hours’ testifying in front of a congressional committee, he can talk to me about stamina.

Holt: well, our debate for this morning is spiriting , the conversation will continue.my thanks to Hillary Clinton and to Donald Trump, and to Hofstra University for hosting us.thankyou, everyone!

Good evening. One year ago, I introduced my father when he declared his candidacy.Inhis own way and through his own sheer force of will, he sacrificed greatly to enter the political arena as an outsider and prevailed against(尤指長時間斗爭后戰勝)a field of 16 very talented competitors. For more than a year, Donald Trump has been the people’s champion. And tonight, he is the people’s nominee(候選人,被提名者).Like many of my fellow millennials, I do not consider myself categorically Republican or Democrat.More than party affiliation, I vote based on what I believe is right for my family and my country.Sometimes, it’s a tough choice. That is not the case this time.As the proud daughter of your nominee, I am here to tell you that this is the moment, and Donald Trump is the person, to make America great again.Real change — the kind we have not seen in decades — is only going to come from outside the system, and it’s only going to come from a man who has spent his entire life doing what others said could not be done.My father is a fighter. When the primaries(美國初選)got tough — and they were tough!— he did what any great leader does: He dug deeper, worked harder, got better and became stronger.I have seen him fight for his family.I have seen him fight for his employees.I have seen him fight for his company, and now I am seeing him fight for our country! That’s been the story of his life and, more recently, the spirit of his campaign. It’s also a prelude to reaching the goal(…的序幕、前奏)that unites us all when this party — and better still this country — knows what it is like to win again. If it’s possible to be famous and yet not really well known, that describes the father who raised me.In the same office in Trump Tower where we now work together, I remember playing on the floor by my father’s desk, constructing miniature(縮小的,微型的)buildings with Legos and erector sets, while he did the same with concrete, steel and glass. My father taught my siblings and me the importance of positive values and a strong ethical compass. He showed us how to be resilient, how to deal with challenges and how to strive for excellence in all that we do.He taught us that there is nothing we cannot accomplish, if we marry vision and passion with an enduring work ethic. One of my father’s greatest talents is his ability to see potential in people before they see it in themselves. It was like that for us too, growing up.He taught us that potential vanishes into nothing without effort. And that, like him, we each had a responsibility to work not just for ourselves, but for the betterment of the world around us.Over the years, on too many occasions to count, I saw my father tear stories out of the newspaper, about people he had never met who were facing some injustice or hardship. He’d write a note to his assistant in his signature black felt-tip pen and request that the person befound and invited to Trump Tower to meet with him.He would talk to them, and then draw on(利用)his extensive network to find them a job or get them a break. And they would leave his office, as people often do after being with Donald Trump, feeling that life could be right again.Throughout my entire life, I have witnessed his empathy(移情)and generosity towards others, especially those who are suffering;it’s just his way of being in your corner when you’re down.My father has not only the strength and ability necessary to be our next president, but also the kindness and compassion(同情)that will enable him to be the leader that this country needs. My father has a sense of fairness that touches every conviction(堅定的看法或信念)he holds.I’ve worked alongside him for more than a decade now at the Trump Organization, and I’ve seen how he operates as a leader, making important decisions that shape careers and change lives.I’ve learned a lot about the world from walking construction jobs by his side. When run properly, construction sites are true meritocracies.Competence in the building trades is easy to spot, and incompetence is impossible to hide. These sites are also incredible(難以置信的)melting pots, gathering people from all walks of life and uniting them to work toward a single mission. There have always been men of all backgrounds and ethnicities on my father’s job sites, and long before it was commonplace(司空見慣的), you also saw women. My father values talent. He recognizes real knowledge and skill when he finds it.He is color blind and gender-neutral.He hires the best person for the job, period.Words and promises, no matter how visionary they sound, will only get you so far.In our business, you’re not a builder unless you’ve got a building to show for it or, in my father’s case, city skylines. Most people strive their entire lives to achieve great success in a single industry. My father has succeeded in many at the highest level and on a global scale. One of the reasons he has thrived(繁榮,茂盛)as an entrepreneur is because he listens to everyone.Billionaire executives don’t usually ask the people doing the work for their opinions of the work.My father is an exception. On every one of his projects, you’ll see him talking to the super, the painter, the engineers, the electricians. He’ll ask for their feedback(反饋);if they think something should be done differently or could be done better. When Donald Trump is in charge, all that counts is ability, effort and excellence. This has long been the philosophy at the Trump Organization. At my family’s company, there are more female than male executives.Women are paid equally for the work that we do, and when a woman becomes a mother, she is supported, not shut out.Women represent 46 percentof the total U.S.labor force, and 40 percent of American households have female primary breadwinners. In 2014, women made 83 cents for every dollar earned by a man.Single women without children earned 94 cents for each dollar earned by a man, whereas(然而)married mothers made only 77 cents. As researchers have noted, gender is no longer the factor creating the greatest wage discrepancy — motherhood is.As president, my father will change the labor laws that were put in place(到位)at a time in which women were not a significant part of the workforce, and he will focus on making quality childcare affordable and accessible for all.As the mother of three young children, I know how hard it is to work while raising a family, and I also know that I am more fortunate than most.American families need relief.Policies that allow women with children to thrive should not be novelties(新穎的事物);they should be the norm(標準,常態).Politicians talk about wage equality, but my father has made it a practice at his company throughout his entire career. He will fight for equal pay for equal work, and I will fight for this too, right alongside of him.Americans today need an economy that permits people to rise again.A Trump presidency will turn the economy around(扭轉經濟)and restore the great American tradition(恢復傳統)of giving each new generation hope for brighter opportunities than those of generation that came before. In Donald Trump, you have a candidate who knows the difference between wanting something done and making it happen. When my father says he will build a tower, keep an eye on the skyline.Floor by floor, a soaring(高聳的)structure will appear, usually record-setting in its height and iconic in its design.Real people are hired to do real work.Vision becomes reality. When my father says that he will make America great again, he will deliver. We have a chance this year, to reclaim our heritage as a country that dreams big and makes the impossible happen.Fortunately, Donald Trump is incapable of thinking small. When I was a child, my father always told me, “Ivanka, if you’re going to be thinking anyway, you might as well think big.” As president, my father will take on the bold and worthy fights. He will be unafraid to set lofty(崇高的,偉大的)goals, and he will be relentless in his determination to achieve them.To the people all over America, I say, when you have my father in your corner, you will never again have to worry about being let down.He will fight for you all the way, all the time.Every time

與RNC(共和黨全國代表大會)的合作對我們的成功來說非常重要。

Thank you.Thank you very much, everyone.Sorry to keep you waiting.Complicated business, complicated.Thank you very much.I've just received a call from Secretary Clinton. She congratulated us.It’s about us.On our victory, and I congratulated her and her family on a very, very hard-fought campaign.I mean she fought very hard.Hillary has worked very long and very hard over a long period of time, and we owe her a major debt of gratitude for her service to our country.I mean that very sincerely. Now it is time for America to bind the wounds of pision, have to get together, to all Republicans and Democrats and independents across this nation I say it is time for us to come together as one united people. It is time.I pledge to every citizen of our land that I will be president for all of Americans, and this is so important to me.For those who have chosen not to support me in the past, of which there were a few people, I'm reaching out to you for your guidance and your help so that we can work together and unify our great country. As I've said from the beginning, ours was not a campaign but rather an incredible and great movement, made up of millions of hard-working men and women who love their country and want a better, brighter future for themselves and for their family. It is a movement comprised of Americans from all races, religions, backgrounds and beliefs, who want and expect our government to serve the people, and serve the people it will.Working together we will begin the urgent task of rebuilding our nation and renewing the American dream.I've spent my entire life in business, looking at the untapped potential in projects and in people all over the world. That is now what I want to do for our country.Tremendous potential.I've gotten to know our country so well.Tremendous potential. It is going to be a beautiful thing.Every single American will have the opportunity to realize his or her fullest potential. The forgotten men and women of our country will be forgotten no longer. We are going to fix our inner cities and rebuild our highways, bridges, tunnels, airports, schools, hospitals. We're going to rebuild our infrastructure, which will become, by the way, second to none, and we will put millions of our people to work as we rebuild it.We will also finally take care of our great veterans who have been so loyal, and I've gotten to know so many over this 18-month journey. The time I've spent with them during this campaign has been among my greatest honors. Our veterans are incredible people. We will embark upon a project of national growth and renewal.I will harness the creative talents of our people and we will call upon the best and brightest to leverage their tremendous talent for the benefit of all.It is going to happen. We have a great economic plan.We will double our growth and have the strongest economy anywhere in the world. At the same time we will get along with all other nations, willing to get along with us.We will be.We will have great relationships. We expect to have great, great relationships. No dream is too big, no challenge is too great.Nothing we want for our future is beyond our reach.America will no longer settle for anything less than the best.We must reclaim our country's destiny and dream big and bold and daring. We have to do that. We're going to dream of things for our country, and beautiful things and successful things once again.I want to tell the world community that while we will always put America's interests first, we will deal fairly with everyone, with everyone. All people and all other nations. We will seek common ground, not hostility, partnership, not conflict. And now I would like to take this moment to thank some of the people who really helped me with this, what they are calling tonight a very, very historic victory.First I want to thank my parents, who I know are looking down on me right now.Great people.I've learned so much from them. They were wonderful in every regard.I are truly great parents.I also want to thank my sisters, Marianne and Elizabeth who are here with us tonight.Where are they? They're here someplace. They're very shy actually. And my brother Robert, my great friend.Where is Robert? Where is Robert? My brother Robert, and they should be on this stage but that's okay. They're great. And also my late brother Fred, great guy.Fantastic guy.Fantastic family.I was very lucky.Great brothers, sisters, great, unbelievable parents. To Melania and Don and Ivanka and Eric and Tiffany and Barron, I love you and I thank you, and especially for putting up with all of those hours. This was tough. This was tough. This political stuff is nasty and it is tough. So I want to thank my family very much.Really fantastic.Thank you all.Thank you all.Lara, unbelievable job.Unbelievable.Vanessa, thank you.Thank you very much. What a great group. You've all given me such incredible support, and I will tell you that we have a large group of people. You know, they kept saying we have a small staff. Not so small.Look at all of the people that we have.Look at all of these people. And Kellyanne and Chris and Rudy and Steve and David. We have got tremendously talented people up here, and I want to tell you it's been very, very special.I want to give a very special thanks to our former mayor, Rudy Giuliani. He's unbelievable.Unbelievable.He traveled with us and he went through meetings, and Rudy never changes.Where is Rudy.Where is he?

[Chanting “Rudy”]

Gov.Chris Christie, folks, was unbelievable.Thank you, Chris. The first man, first senator, first major, major politician — let me tell you, he is highly respected in Washington because he is as smart as you get, senator Jeff sessions.Where is Jeff? A great man.Another great man, very tough competitor. He was not easy.He was not easy.Who is that? Is that the mayor that showed up? Is that Rudy?

Up here.Really a friend to me, but I'll tell you, I got to know him as a competitor because he was one of the folks that was negotiating to go against those Democrats, Dr.Ben Carson.Where's been? Where is Ben? By the way, Mike Huckabee is here someplace, and he is fantastic.Mike and his familiar bring Sarah, thank you very much.Gen.Mike Flynn.Where is Mike? And Gen.Kellogg.We have over 200 generals and admirals that have endorsed our campaign and there are special people. We have 22 congressional medal of honor people.A very special person who, believe me, I read reports that I wasn't getting along with him.I never had a bad second with him. He's an unbelievable star.He is--that's right, how did you possibly guess? Let me tell you about Reince.I've said Reince.I know it.I know it.Look at all of those people over there.I know it, Reince is a superstar.I said, they can't call you a superstar, Reince, unless we win it.Like secretariat. He would not have that bust at the track at Belmont.Reince is really a star and he is the hardest working guy and in a certain way I did this.Reince, come up here.Get over here, Reince.Boy, oh, boy, oh, boy. It's about time you did this right. My god.Nah, come here.Say something.Amazing guy.Our partnership with the RNC was so important to the success and what we've done, so I also have to say, I've gotten to know some incredible people. The Secret Service people. They're tough and they're smart and they're sharp and I don't want to mess around with them, I can tell ya.And when I want to go and wave to a big group of people and they rip me down and put me back down in the seat, but they are fantastic people so I want to thank the Secret Service. And law enforcement in New York City, they're here tonight. These are spectacular people, sometimes underappreciated unfortunately, we we appreciate them.So it's been what they call an historic event, but to be really historic, we have to do a great job and I promise you that I will not let you down.We will do a great job.We will do a great job.I look very much forward to being your president and hopefully at the end of two years or three years or four years or maybe even eight years you will say so many of you worked so hard for us, with you you will say that — you will say that that was something that you were — really were very proud to do and I can — thank you very much. And I can only say that while the campaign is over, our work on this movement is now really just beginning. We're going to get to work immediately for the American people and we're going to be doing a job that hopefully you will be so proud of your president. You will be so proud.Again, it's my honor. It's an amazing evening. It's been an amazing two-year period and I love this country.Thank you.Thank you very much.Thank you to Mike Pence.
