一、形容詞比較級在句子中的運用

例句：Who's taller than David ?

Whose bag is heavier?

She's younger than me.You're one year younger than him.在呈現新的句型時，應引導學生發現：1）比較級用于二者的比較；2）比較級在句中的結構是：……比較級than……；3）than 后面的代詞應該是賓格。

二、形容詞比較級詞形變化規則：

1）直接在形容詞后加-er ,例如：long--longer

2)雙寫末尾的輔音字母，再加-er, 例如：big--bigger

3)輔音字母加y 結尾的，變y為i , 再加-er.4)以e結尾的，只加-r(本單元好象還沒有出現，但可根據情況考慮補充）

由于規則與學生已掌握的名詞復數、動詞的第三人稱單數、動詞的現在分詞等詞形變化相似，因此學生在學習的過程中不會有太大的困難。但是要防止學生在加-er時筆誤成-es.三、形容詞比較級的讀音：（抱歉，由于音標不會輸入，所以在此只是提出，比較級的讀音在教學中不容忽視，應作為重難點之一進行處理）
