①閑翻《孟子》,越讀越覺得孟子的文章篇篇都像雜文,如投槍匕首,似針砭藥石,毫無疑問,孟子就是個不出世的雜文家。他的思想、語言、學識、見地,都是我等難以望其項背的;他的尖銳、勇敢、潑辣、犀利,也是我等難以企及的。一本《孟子》,完全可以當成一本雜文經典來讀,而每一個雜文家要想寫出點像樣的東西,能有那么三言兩語流傳下來,得學學孟子,把《孟子》當成教科書,仿效借鑒,苦心揣摩,必將受益無窮。
②學學孟子的正義感。一些寫雜文的人老覺得自己的東西寫不好,以為那是技巧問題,其實很多時候是正義感缺失所致。孟子的雜文之所以讓人震撼,首先是因為他的正義感非常 4 強,這就讓他占領了思想境界的高地,可以高屋建瓴地去摧枯拉朽,可以居高臨下地激濁揚清。“吾善養吾浩然之氣”,就是他的正義感的點睛之筆;“仁則榮,不仁則辱”,是他一向身體力行的榮辱觀;“舍生取義”是他的做人原則;“富貴不能淫,貧賤不能移,威武不能屈”,則幾乎成為數千年來正人君子的座右銘,志士仁人的處世標準。倘若學得了孟子的正義感,我們對那些烏七八糟的人和事就會心生憤怒,進而訴諸筆墨,痛斥荒謬,筆伐黑暗,雜文就會有血性,就會迸發火光,一句一血印,一字一火星,寫得痛快,讀著解氣。
③學學孟子的人民性。孟子事事處處為民眾說話,為蒼生請命。他希望看到“內無怨女,外無曠夫”的社會;他向往“老吾老,以及人之老;幼吾幼,以及人之幼”的時代。每有災荒,他就會千方百計勸說官方開倉賑災,而不怕被人譏笑為“再作馮婦”;他對王室官家“庖有肥肉,廄有肥馬”而“民有饑色,野有餓莩”極端憤怒,斥之為“此率獸而食人也”。而“民為重,社稷次之,君為輕”,則是他流傳最廣的一句名言,振聾發聵,石破天驚,讓歷代君主都很頭疼但又不得不有所警惕。朱元璋害怕地居然先是禁《孟子》,后又刪《孟子》,正是“孟子寫雜文而獨夫民賊懼”。
④學學孟子的會說理。雜文是說理的藝術,理說得是否透徹、服人,是評判雜文水平高低的重要標準。孟子的說理,循循善誘,環環緊扣,舉一反三,邏輯嚴密,高論迭出,令人信服。談君臣平等相待道理,他語出驚人,獨出心裁:“君之視君如手足,則臣視君如腹心;君之視臣如犬馬,則臣視君如國人;君之視臣如土芥,則臣視君如寇仇。”談做人自強道理,他言之鑿鑿,擲地有聲:“夫人必自侮,然后人侮之;家必自毀,而后人毀之;國必自伐,而后人伐之。”談王道的“不做”和“不能”的道理,他一針見血又循循善誘:“挾泰山以超北海,語人曰:‘我不能’,是誠不能也。”為長者折枝,語人曰:“我不能,是不為也,非不能也。”
⑤學學孟子的善諷刺。諷刺是雜文的本質屬性,也是雜文的生命,是雜文別于其他文種的重要標志。孟子就是個善于諷刺的高手,語言辛辣尖銳,風格詼諧幽默,縱橫捭闔妙不可言,嬉笑怒罵皆成文章。他以“五十步笑百步”來諷刺梁惠王的口惠而實不至;他以“拔苗助長”的典故來教育公孫丑不要違背事物發展規律,干那些吃力不討好的事;他以“齊有一妻一妾”的故事來諷刺那些不擇手段來求取富貴的利欲之徒;他抨擊那些不講仁義的人“天作孽,猶可違;自作孽,不可活”;他諷刺桀紂的愚蠢可嘆,把其失敗的原因歸結為“為淵驅魚,為叢驅雀”;他諷刺齊宣王“恩足以及禽獸,而功不至于百姓”的荒唐可笑。他的諷刺,言辭有據,不留情面,構思巧妙,極具戰斗力。至今讀來仍虎虎有生氣。
⑥向孟子學雜文,當然還遠不止于此,《孟子》就是一座雜文寶庫,只要我們心存仰慕,虔誠求教,當會滿載而歸。
