第二、一旦畢業，選擇英語類專業工作將使得我們的成功幾率大為增加，比如：除了英語類專業之外，相關專業還有：國際經濟法專業、國際貿易類、商務專業、醫學專業、國際政治專業、歷史專業、考古專業、傳媒專業、舞蹈專業、財務專業、文學專業、師范專業、數學專業、工程專業、電子專業、生物技術專業、軟件和信息技術專業等，都離不開英語的學習或國外文獻資料的查閱，沒有良好的英語基礎，這些專業領域是不會取得重大建樹的。第三、對于某些重點學校，或者與國外建立了友好交流關系的學校，只有那些具有優勢英語的學生才有可能被錄取參加國外友好學校的交流活動；

第四、英語作為中考、高考的必選重點科目，其得分的高低，直接影響到是否在全班全年級占據優勢，被名牌大學錄取；

第五、即使是有偏科傾向的學生，如果她的英語口語或者寫作或者翻譯有一技之長，將來即使是沒有考上大學，他也會被社會廣泛需要的，比如從事翻譯、口譯、英語教師、幼兒園老師、外貿行業等。
