abroad本意是“出境”，overseas本意是“海外，在海的另一邊”，如內(nèi)陸國家出國就只能說go abroad，只有跨海的才是go overseas.因為中國的go abroad很多都是跨海的，如到美國就是go overseas，所以這兩個詞對中國人而言，很多時候可以通用，但對中亞的很多國家而言，那些人們?nèi)ム弴椭荒苁莋o abroad，而不能是go overseas了。

overseas可以作形容詞(adjective)和副詞(adverb)，abroad做“出國”只可作副詞。’海外辦事處’只能夠譯做an overseas office，不得說an abroad office；’在海外工作’則譯做to work overseas或to work abroad都可以。engineering動名詞

(用于陳述句中的第二、第三人稱,表示說話人的意圖、允諾、警告、命令、決心等)必須,應,可He shall stay in bed.他必須躺在床上。

If 和whether: 一般情況下可以通用，if更加口語化。前面有介詞，只能用whether;后面時不定式，只能用whether;與or not連用，只能用whether

自責檢討“我”搶先，單身男女同時到，男士反而要領先I don’t know what you’re talking about.賓語從句的引導詞雖然含有疑問意義，但它不是獨立的問句，所以不能采用疑問句語序，而應該把助動詞，系動詞或情態(tài)動詞提前。即：賓語從句必須使用陳述語序

四 重點語法反義疑問句：前肯后否，前否后肯，時態(tài)人稱保持一致

①有be時使用be動詞②沒有be時借用助動詞do/does/did/ ③完成時態(tài)用have/has/had/④情態(tài)動詞還使用情態(tài)動詞，must 變成needn’t賓語從句

①連接詞： 陳述句用that來引導，可以省略

一般以問句用if/whether來引導，特殊疑問句保留疑問詞

② 語序主句+連接詞+從句（主語+謂語+其它）

例：I don’t know

“he is a teacher.”I don’t know(that)he is a teacher.“Is he a teacher?”I don’t know if/ whether he is a teacher.“What does he do?”I don’t know what he does.③時態(tài)：當主句的謂語動詞是一般現(xiàn)在時態(tài)，其賓語從句的時態(tài)可以是任何適當?shù)臅r態(tài)，所以，賓語從句的事態(tài)應根據(jù)實際情況而定；當主句的謂語動詞是一般過去時態(tài)，其賓語從句的時態(tài)一般要用任一適當?shù)倪^去時態(tài)；當從句是客觀真理、諺語、格言時，無論主句何種時態(tài)，從句都用一般現(xiàn)在時

第四篇：淺談新概念英語

看到論壇中的網(wǎng)友都在找新概念美語版的錄音，可能與現(xiàn)在的大部分聽力材料都是美語有關(如voa toefl)。不過我推薦大家使用由英國longman公司錄制的新概念，原因很簡單，這套錄音根據(jù)不同的英語水平設計了不同的時速，從第一冊的每分鐘約100歌單詞到第二冊的每分鐘120-140個單詞，再到第三四冊的每分鐘150-160個單詞，使學習者逐漸熟悉適應正常的說話速度，設計較為合理，而不象一般的錄音都是一個速度。同時該錄音采用的是Received Pronunciation。即BBC所使用的standerd English，有利于大家以后適應收聽BBC。

另外一個大家比較關心的問題是對聽慣了英國英語后會否聽不懂美語，實際這種擔心是不必要的，我還沒聽說哪個英國人聽不懂美國話，從我的實踐來看也不存在這種問題，二者雖有差異，但并非很大。同時許多網(wǎng)友聽VOA沒有問題了，再聽BBC也不存在聽不懂的問題。

第二個大家比較關心的是發(fā)音問題。實話實說，不論你學的是美語還是英語，對于大部分不是從幼兒時期就說英語的人，你所發(fā)出的永遠是中國腔的英語，只不過是程度上的差異而已。同時許多專家也提倡在學英語的初期學習英國英語，因為英國英語的發(fā)音比較規(guī)范，容易養(yǎng)成良好正確的發(fā)音習慣。而且從英語改說美語也并不難，找?guī)撞棵绹娪埃镞叺呐_詞說幾遍，你的發(fā)音就會大大的得以改變。

第三點我想強調(diào)的是大家在學新概念時所忽視的一點，就是新概念同時也是訓練大家提高寫作水平的一本好教程，大家仔細看一看每課后的寫作練習，從最簡單的簡單句寫起，一步一步引導你寫出較復雜的句子，再到不提供提示，獨立寫出句子和段落，循序漸進，為大家的英語寫作打下堅實的基礎。

第五篇：新概念英語閱讀

lesson 1 A private conversation Last week I went to the theatre.I had a very good seat.The play was very interesting.I did not enjoy it.A young man and a young woman were sitting behind me.They were talking loudly.I got very angry.I could not hear the actors.I turned round.I looked at the man and the woman angrily.They did not pay any attention.In the end, I could not bear it.I turned round again.?I can't hear a word!? Notes on the text 課文注釋go to the theatre，去看戲。got angry，生氣。turn round，轉(zhuǎn)身，也可用turn around。pay attention，注意。I could not bear it．我無法忍受。其中的it是指上文中的那對男女大聲說話又不理會作者的憤怒目光。none of your business，不關你的事。

lesson 2 Breakfast or lunch? It was Sunday.I never get up early on Sundays.I sometimes stay in bed until lunchtime.Last Sunday I got up very late.I looked out of the window.It was dark outside.?What a day!? Notes on the text 課文注釋 on Sundays，指每個星期日。星期幾的前面用介詞on。What a day！多么糟糕的天氣！這是一個省略的感嘆句。完整的句子應該是What a day it is！英語中的感嘆句常用what開頭，后面緊跟一個名詞或名詞性短語(包括連系動詞)，然后是主語和謂語，句尾用感嘆號。I'm coming to see you．在這句話中現(xiàn)在進行時用來表示近期按計劃或安排要進行的動作。Dear me！天哪！這也是一個感嘆句。
