這是十一月下旬寒冷而灰暗的一天。天氣一夜之間就變了。逆轉風挾來一方花崗巖似的天空和一片迷迷蒙蒙的細雨。雖然才下午兩點多一點，但冬夜的蒼白似乎已逼近綿綿的丘陵，給群山披上了一層薄霧。如此看來，四點鐘天就要黑了。空氣潮濕而陰冷。盡管車窗緊閉，但冷風仍直往車廂里鉆。皮座椅摸上去濕乎乎的，車頂上肯定有小裂縫，時不時有細小的雨滴輕輕落下，在皮座上留下一片深藍色墨跡似的污漬。風一陣陣襲來，每每在車子駛經(jīng)彎道時搖撼著車身。行至無遮無掩的高處，馬車會在狂風的吹打下，哆哆嗦嗦，踉踉蹌蹌。車廂在高高的車輪之間像醉漢一樣搖搖晃晃。
