作為課堂教學不可或缺的有益的延伸部分——作業 然而“傳統英語作業”僅僅停留在“對課堂的強化”的層面上,存在著眾多弊端,如:英語作業的形式并未得到很大改觀,那些拘于書本、讀寫、限于室內的作業形式,限制了學生的活動空間,不利于學生擴展知識視野和發展思維能力。作業內容僅限于英語學科知識范圍,遠離學生實際生活;主要形式是:抄寫、背課文、聽寫等。作業成了教師強加給學生的沉重的負擔,扼殺了學生的興趣,造成學生厭學的心理。因此,我們有必要對小學英語作業的設計,批改和講評進行探討。,是對課程意義重建與提升的創造過程,是學生對課堂教學的深化過程,其設計思路應當適度開放,向課外延伸、與生活接軌,貼近學生心理的特點,增強實踐性、探索性,促使學生在學習實踐活動中自主地獲得新知。

(一)探討作業的設計與布置

1.設計自主型作業,提供選擇的機會

任何一個群體的學生在學習基礎、學習能力、學習習慣、學習興趣和學習動機等方面都存在差異。所以,設計作業時要考慮各個層次學生的要求,使每個學生在完成不同難度和不同數量的作業的過程中有所收獲。這就需要教師為學生提供形式多樣的“自助餐”作業。教師可將作業分成A、B、C三類套餐:A作業為比較簡單的鞏固性作業;B作業在難度上略高;C作業偏重于理解、想象和運用。例如,教學PEP五年級每單元的教學對話后,我們可以設計以下作業:A——模仿錄音,朗讀或表演對話;B——根據提供的信息替換詞語對話,表演對話;C——在理解的基礎上,創編對話并表演。2.設計創造型作業,提供表現機會

小學生喜歡動手操作類型的活動,如畫圖和手工等。根據這一特點,我們設計作業要為學生提供充分展示自我才藝的機會。布置畫圖作業,要求學生回家畫出自己的房間,并模仿例文寫出一段簡單的短文介紹自己的房間。比如,展示作品時說:This is my room.There is a bed,a desk,a sofa and a bookshelf.The bookshelf is near the desk.There are many books on it.這類作業激發了學生的學習興趣,讓學生在活動中鞏固了知識。3.設計鑒賞型作業,提供表現機會

標準優美的語音、語調需要學生反復聽錄音模仿才能形成。而單調和機械的重復聽讀,時間長了學生會厭倦。如能讓學生模仿課文錄音朗讀并制作錄音專輯,學生會很有興趣的主動模仿練習。

4.設計生活型作業,提供體驗機會

為了使學生的英語學習更貼近生活,可以設計一些“找一找”的作業,讓學生充分利用課程資源,利用電視、廣播和互聯網等渠道,增加信息的輸入,豐富學生的英語知識。比如,學生可以在生活中找出一縮寫英文字母,如:在家用電器上可找到up,doown,on,off;在藥品上可找到 OTC等。又如我結合PEP教材C部分中涉及到的一些西方國家的節日讓學生在網上收集關于愚人節、母親節、萬圣節、感恩節和圣誕節等節日的傳說和有關知識。從中領悟英語文化,感受異域風情。再如,學習數字后讓學生找出生活中特殊的英語數字和電話號碼等等。5.設計調研型作業,提供實踐機會

小學生活潑好動,心靈手巧,動手能力強,Let’s make a survy環節既有較強的活動性與趣味性又能使英語作業生活化。PEP教課書中設計了許多這樣的小調查,教師可充分利用這些教學資源。如:教學《Season》一課后教師讓學生設計小調查利用What’s your favourite season?I like??best.句型進行操練,學生互相詢問并匯報調查數據。這些具有啟發性和趣味性的作業,充分提高了學生學習和運用英語的能力。6.設計發展性作業,提供挑戰機會

發展性作業目的在加深學生對所學知識的印象,難度略高于教材練習,因而有一定的挑戰性。例如:教學Happy birthday的內容時,教師可了解未來有那些學生過生日,并讓學生準備一場生日晚會。發展性活動可以是一些群體活動,如講故事、表演英語短劇、為校園設計英語警示語;也可以是個別活動,如制作生日賀卡并用英語寫上祝福語。這些作業既可讓學生復習和鞏固所學知識,變機械學習為有意義的學習,又可培養學生的動手能力,促進學生全面提高。

(二)探討作業的批改

布置作業是教師檢查教學效果和獲得信息反饋的一個重要手段,而批改作業則是教師在課后與學生進行信息和情感交流的有效方式。在教學實踐中常用的幾種批改方式: 教師全批——這能詳細了解每個學生的學習情況,雖然人數較多,可采用一周批改3-4次。

教師面批——主要是個別輔導某方面學習有困難的學生,并且還能及時了解這些學生的學習情況。

分組批改——面對大部分學生,指定組長,公布標準答案,各組員相互批改,這種方法,不僅能吸取別的同學的好方法,還可從別人的錯誤中吸取教訓,相互學習。課堂訂正——有針對性的講典型錯誤的例子,使學生能相互借鑒。

作業批語——教師的評語對學生有著不可忽視的作用。教師能在學生的本子上留下一些象征鼓勵、表揚甚至是批評的標記,哪怕只是一個簡單的“good”,學生也會欣然接受。

(三)探討作業的講評

對英語作業的講評是課堂教學的延伸和補充。對鞏固課堂教學,提高學習效果起著極其重要的作用。因此,我們不能忽視了對作業的講評。我們可以采取以下的方法:

1、學生自我改錯:

在講評錯題時要預留一定的時間,先讓做錯題學生講講自己是怎樣想的、怎樣做錯的?再讓同學幫忙講一講怎樣想、怎樣做才對,這樣大家在交流中有所得益,分享別人的解題方法的同時,也改進了自己的解題策略。

2、教師講評。

教師講評應做到“突出重點,突破難點,加強思路分析,講究對癥下藥”。學生錯誤集中,題目解法新穎,啟發性強的題目重點講評。將較多的時間用在錯因分析與思路啟發上。作業分析應重點分析錯誤原因。教師盡量少講,要充分發揮學生自主、互助的作用,讓學生在自我反思和共同交流中提高。另外,我們也可以請學生做小老師,讓學生來講評。請學生發言主要是為了暴露思維過程,包括典型錯誤的思考,巧妙的思考等,以對其他學生起到警戒、示范作用。具體有:錯誤讓學生“改”;思路、解法讓學“講“;注重學生“練”。

總之,小學英語教師在布置課外作業時,要按照《英語課程標準》的理念,圍繞教學目的和要求,拓展視野,從聽做、說唱、玩演、讀寫、視聽等方面入手,從培養學生的觀察、記憶、想象和創新意識等能力出發,使小學英語作業更趨向于合理、有效。
