《賴世雄美語音標》學習心得
經過兩個月的認真學習,很高興終于學完《賴世雄美語音標》了,這是我第一本完整從頭學到最后的英語教材,期間反復聽賴老師的講解,反復跟讀,從一開始簡單的句子都無法讀順,到后來越讀越順,單詞、句子也都反復聽寫,從一開始老聽錯,到后來越來越分辨得清不同的讀音,感覺自己的英語學習總算走上了正軌,對以后的英語學習也更有信心了。
我和大多數中國人一樣,在學校開始學習英語,自認對外語學習的悟性不高,所以只能跟著書本和跟著老師學,如果書本上沒有的,老師沒講解到的,自己是悟不出來的。那時學音標,老師只是匆匆的把每個音標的發音教一次就算完成了,接下去就是學課文了,學課文也就是跟著課本學單詞、學語法、讀課文、背課文這樣一步一步學,最記得老師總是提醒我們不要把單詞最后的輔音吃掉,要發清楚,至于s后面的p、k、t要發成b、g、d更是沒說清楚,還有懶惰式英語的模糊發音,非重讀的an、of、can、before等單詞的發音,以及一些音標標注和外國人實際發音的差異等等都沒有教,但賴老師的教材都做了很詳細的講解,特別針對中國人經常搞錯的元音發音,如U和u的發音,i:和I的發音,還有輔音在字尾的發音,如l發“歐”的音,p發“普”的單等等,都做了非常詳細和耐心的說明,并在整個學習音標的過程中不斷反復提醒,讓學習的人能把這些重點、難點牢牢的掌握,自然而然的融會貫通到日常的發音中去。學了賴老師的這套美語音標教材,才知道自己原來的很多發音都是錯了,也明白了為什么自己學了這么多年英語,但實際能聽懂的單詞怎么這么少,現在才知道原來我學的跟美國人實際的發音有這么多的不同,雖然只是學了兩個月的音標,但感覺在實際中聽到的單詞比原來多了,也因此對英語學習更有興趣和更有信心了。
我對賴老師這套音標教材的最深體會就是賴老師太了解中國人在學習英語過程中碰到的難點和痛點了,因為他也是被那些自己都沒有跟外國人交流過的所謂英語老師教過的,這些老師不知道很多單詞外國人并不是按我們的英語課本和字典發音的,完全照本宣科的對著那些中國人自己編的英語教材來教,教出來的學生如果悟性不高,又沒有什么機會和外國人交流的話,基本上最利害的也就只能學個啞巴英語,看資料、寫篇文章還將就,聽和說就完全不行了。而一些悟性高,特別是有機會和外國人交流的學生,很快就能發現這些問題,并進行調整。為什么大家一直都很認同學習英語要有英語的環境,最好能出國,這樣對英語的聽和說都會有莫大的幫助,退而求次則參加有外教的培訓班,實際上我現在才明白這真是無奈之舉,只是我們學校的英語環境出了問題,所教的英語發音與實際外國人的發音有這么大的差異,才造成了中國的英語學習者花費了這么多年的時間學習英語卻連簡單的對話都聽不明白,自己說的更是讓人不知所云,這不能不說是中國式英語教育的悲哀。
賴老師的這套教材正如他在序中提到的,整個內容是他個人幾十年來學習發音的心得,是一本很用心寫的書,在書中聽得最多的賴老師總在提醒我們,外國人實際并不是這樣發音的,對于一些特殊的發音和連讀,賴老師也一再提醒要一開始就讀對,只有按外國人是怎么讀的,我們也跟就讀才是正確的發音,而不是跟著字典標注的所謂正確發音。所以我覺得跟著賴老師的這套教材學下去,比去參加外教培訓班和出國學外語都會更有效,特別是那些學了多年英語都沒學好的人,因為外教并不知道中國人學英語的難點和痛點,他們并不可能像賴老師那樣可以切中要害的告訴你在學習中需要特別注意哪些關鍵的知識點,所以只要跟著賴老師認真把這套教材學完,掌握英語并非如原來想像的那么難,這就是我學完《賴世雄美語音標》的學習心得。
