現在蘆笙的形制已發生了很大變革，分大、中、小等多種類型。均由笙管、笙斗和簧片三部分構成。常用的蘆笙管6根，外側開有接音孔，下端裝置銅簧，插入一長形木頭葫蘆內，每簧一音。在每二三根笙管上端合套竹管作為共鳴管。小蘆笙的管長十幾公分，大蘆笙長四、五米不等。低音蘆笙類中，有在大竹筒內裝一細竹管，發音者稱為“蘆笙筒”?，F經改革，笙管數增至20余根，每管上端均套用薄銅皮制作的共鳴管，音域可達兩個八度又五度。蘆笙音色明亮渾厚，男女均可吹奏。每當過年，婚嫁喜事，起房蓋屋，人們總要手捧蘆笙，載歌載舞，以此抒發自己的歡樂和感情。另外，蘆笙不僅是一種單純的民族樂器，而且是苗族男女青年成婚的重要“媒介”。通過它能使豆蔻年華的青年，互相了解，產生愛慕，結為伉儷。每當風清月夜，有情的小伙子手捧心愛的蘆笙吹一首婉轉悠揚的愛情曲，姑娘們聞聲，就心領神會，以清脆的歌聲相對，這種戀愛方式，外行人是聽不懂的，內行人，一聽自明。因此，蘆笙在苗族人民心目中是神圣的，珍貴的，家家離不開它。

斗馬是廣西苗族的一項民間文娛活動，每年12月26日舉行，歷時3日。頭1日，人們忙著到田里放水捉魚，煮鮮魚粥嘗新；還蒸糯

米飯、釀甜酒、宰雞殺鴨，招待來自遠方的親友。增添了熱烈的氣氛。

踩花山是境內苗族人民的盛大傳統節日，一般在每年農歷正月初

一、初

三、初六這幾天舉辦。凡有苗族居住的各縣，這幾天都要立花桿，舉行隆重的踩花山活動。這既是苗族男女青年談情說愛的好時機，也是苗族人民開展文體娛樂活動的重要場所。苗家男女老少，穿金戴銀，從四面八方趕到花桿腳下，吹蘆生、彈響蔑、跳腳架、耍大刀、斗牛、摔跤、斗畫眉、爬花桿。

打背節流行于境內富寧縣的部分地區，于每年農歷正月初三到十五這幾天舉行，是苗族男女青年的節日。節日中，男女青年歡聚在風景優美的山坡上，當打背開始時，男的蜂擁而出，沖到自己選中的姑娘面前，一手挽住姑娘的脖子，一手蒙住姑娘的眼睛，其他小伙子去打她的背。姑娘也不甘示弱，一邊大笑，一邊掙扎。掙脫時，捉住小伙子，以其人之道，還治其人之身。整個場地，男追女逐，歡蹦亂跳。打累了，男女雙雙即各找一個地方打土電話（即用兩個竹筒，中間連一長線，各在一方對著竹筒講話、唱歌都能聽見），相互傾吐蜜語衷情，以企結成伴侶。情投意合后，再告訴父母，擇吉日成親

青菜，一般不切碎。

穿戴：苗族的服飾因地區不同而有差異。男，一般老人穿無領斜扣大襟衣，束腰帶，穿褲腳，打綁腿。中年人和青年人，穿開襟上衣，短而小，布料多是自產的“家機斑衣”，婦女服飾另具風格，上身穿無領鑲邊繡花衣，綴欄插花瓣與其間，下身著鑲邊、繡花或數紗寬腳褲。引人注目的女頭帕，一般有一丈多長，顏色是青、藍兩種，黑色相間襯花格子有的包絲帕。

?。?．吊腳樓，吊腳一般2－3屋，飛檐翹角，并有走廊圍白木質欄桿，欄桿雕有各種圖案。吊腳下層用來貯藏糧食，存放農具、堆放柴草、土灰，或圈牛、羊、豬及廁所等。上層為人居住。2．火爐，形狀為方形，高60－70厘米，上面周圍用木板蓋好，四周用磚、石砌好，中間圍成正方形火塘，用來燒火做飯，周圍下層為空間，用以關雞、鴨。天冷時，主、客人都坐在火爐上，說笑、談論家事和休息?；馉t上吊有一個不同形狀的木架，將種子、茶葉簍、草鞋等掛在上面。

節日、宗教信仰

節日，除了漢族的節日外，苗族還有以下節日。1．三月初三青年男女對歌戀愛。

2．四月初八吃烏飯，紀念楊再思，也有傳說是紀念要一妹烏飯用樹葉煮成，要提前將姑娘接回娘家一起吃烏飯；近處的可以不回娘家，但要給她們送去。此俗僅限于楊姓。

3．六月初六敬土地神，到田坎上掛紙、燒香。一般都將家譜曬一次。

4．十月初二過“小年”，要殺老鼠吃。

信仰：1．敬奉楊公再思。過去，鄉境內有飛山廟16座。每年秋天舉行盛大的慶廟活動。唱幾天幾晚人戲，其中“扛華山”和“打求財”等是每次必唱的節目，主要內容是，教育家庭和睦。在慶廟期間，要擺豬首、裝香、燒紙。2．過去祭祖要殺牛，以自然寨子為整體，舉行殺牛儀式，牛內臟用來祭祖先然后每人帶一份肉回家。3．敬奉幡蝴，傳說幡蝴是苗族的祖先。

婚 喪習俗

戀愛：以歌為媒，農歷三月初三，青年男女穿戴整齊，成群結隊趕到山頭水邊，對歌戀愛。情同意合者，便相邀離去，表示戀上了。平時看牛、放羊也對歌，并贈紅。雙方父母同意便結婚，如不同意，還有逃婚的習俗。

結婚：一般在結婚前一個月，長則半年，就開始哭嫁。對長輩要一個一個地器，然后再送禮物，現在改變了許多。男女結婚時，女方和來人到男方家吃三天三晚酒，這三天新娘只能同伴娘睡，不能與新郎同床。三天后，新娘與伴娘一起回娘家生活，二年、三年、五年不等。男方有農事需人幫忙，接女方在男方家同住。待女方懷孕后，才能接新娘到男方家長住期共同生活。

喪事：老人落氣時，要抬到中堂里，坐在正中，備有斗（容器）、涼篩，坐在斗上腳踏涼篩落氣。洗尸，由長教子井里擔水，參入桃葉、菖莆葉煮成溫水給洗尸，洗過的水（倒入

便桶），讓其后代每個嘗三點，表示吃字不愁，叫“衣飯水”，在死者身上圍白線，一歲一根，平時掉的牙齒要保存著，殮時放入棺材內，死后頭發禁燒。進棺材時，口含銀，手捏茶葉米還要到飛山廟點

亮。

苗族的建筑在各地也有很大差別。黔東南居民住木制平房和樓房。樓房一般為兩層，建筑形式多為“吊腳樓”(即按山坡斜度豎樁，在樁上建筑)，屋頂為雙斜面。頂棚上層貯藏糧食、雜物，吊腳樓下堆放雜物或圈養牲畜。湘西和貴州松桃等地，采用木質結構、雙斜面瓦頂或草頂平房，每幢3～5間，“偏廈”作灶房或牲口圈。過去，地主或富裕人家還筑有庭院，并砌高墻或石碉圍護。云南文山地區苗族居民住宅的墻壁多用竹條編織、外面糊上泥土的方法建造，屋頂為平形草頂。昭通地區的苗族居民多裝權權房”，即一種用幾根樹干交叉搭糊，蓋上茅草，用樹枝或竹子編織、糊泥作墻的房屋。一般隔為兩間，人畜各一。海南島苗族住的是長而窄的茅草房，三間一幢，屋檐較長，檐下走廊是休息的地方。川南和黔西北的苗族多住士墻草頂或瓦頂的房屋。

苗族一般是一夫一妻的小家庭，財產由男子繼承，主婦在家庭中享有較多的權力和地位。年老父母一般由幼子供養。有的地區，有父子連名的習慣，子名在前，父名在后，平時都只呼本名，不連父名。由于受漢族宗法封建的影響，有的制定字輩、建立宗祠、修纂家譜。苗族青年男女婚姻比較自由，男女青年通過“游方”(黔東南)、“坐寨”(廣西融水)、“踩月亮”(云南文山、楚雄)、“跳花”(黔中、黔西)、“會姑娘”(湘西)等社交活動，自由對歌，戀愛成婚。云南楚雄等地有“姑娘房”制度，以便擇配良偶。也有父母包辦婚姻的，一般通過親友撮合，講門當戶對。苗族婦女有婚后“不落夫家”的習俗，特別在黔東南至今仍有保留。有的地區苗族還有“還姑娘”、“轉房”、“妻姊妹婚”等習俗。

淺談苗族風俗與文化

苗族主要聚居于貴州省東南部、廣西大苗山、海南島及貴州、湖南、湖北、四川、云南、廣西等省區的交界地帶。在中國古代典籍中，早就有關于五千多年前苗族先民的記載，這就是從黃河流域直到長江中游以南被稱為“南蠻”的氏族和部落。

苗族十分注重禮儀?？腿藖碓L，必殺雞宰鴨盛情款待，若是遠道來的貴客，苗族人習慣先請客人飲牛角酒。吃雞時，雞頭要敬給客人中的長者，雞腿要賜給年紀最小的客人。有的地方還有分雞心的習俗，即由家里年紀最大的主人用筷子把雞心或鴨心拈給客人，但客人不能自己吃掉，必須把雞心平分給在座的老人。如客人酒量小，不喜歡吃肥肉，可以說明情況，主人不勉強，但不吃飽喝足，則被視為看不起主人。

現在蘆笙的形制已發生了很大變革，分大、中、小等多種類型。均由笙管、笙斗和簧片三部分構成。常用的蘆笙管6根，外側開有接音孔，下端裝置銅簧，插入一長形木頭葫蘆內，每簧一音。在每二三根笙管上端合套竹管作為共鳴管。小蘆笙的管長十幾公分，大蘆笙長四、五米不等。低音蘆笙類中，有在大竹筒內裝一細竹管，發音者稱為“蘆笙筒”?，F經改革，笙管數增至20余根，每管上端均套用薄銅皮制作的共鳴管，音域可達兩個八度又五度。蘆笙音色明亮渾厚，男女均可吹奏。每當過年，婚嫁喜事，起房蓋屋，人們總要手捧蘆笙，載歌載舞，以此抒發自己的歡樂和感情。另外，蘆笙不僅是一種單純的民族樂器，而且是苗族男女青年成婚的重要“媒介”。通過它能使豆蔻年華的青年，互相了解，產生愛慕，結為伉儷。每當風清月夜，有情的小伙子手捧心愛的蘆笙吹一首婉轉悠揚的愛情曲，姑娘們聞聲，就心領神會，以清脆的歌聲相對，這種戀愛方式，外行人是聽不懂的，內行人，一聽自明。因此，蘆笙在苗族人民心目中是神圣的，珍貴的，家家離不開它。

斗馬是廣西苗族的一項民間文娛活動，每年12月26日舉行，歷時3日。頭1日，人們忙著到田里放水捉魚，煮鮮魚粥嘗新；還蒸糯米飯、釀甜酒、宰雞殺鴨，招待來自遠方的親友。第2日斗馬，第3日賽馬，斗馬是一項引人入勝的比賽。上午10時許，在一排“過山沖”土槍響過之后，蘆笙高奏，舞獅舞龍上下翻騰，后面跟著威武雄壯的馬隊，雄赳赳地進入斗馬場。身著盛裝的苗、瑤、侗族姑娘手持彩帶在蘆笙手外面形成圓圈，踏著蘆笙的節奏翩翩起舞。斗馬場上，駿馬云集，幾十匹精選出的好馬個個膘肥體壯，在場邊躍躍欲試，等待上場。當裁判一宣布斗馬上場名單，兩列馬隊各牽出一馬，解開繩子，兩馬即向對方猛撲過來，雙腳騰空相峙，互相撕咬，或突然轉身翹起后腳，猛踢對方。緊張激烈和

賽馬是對騎手們勇敢和技藝的嚴峻考驗，苗族山區，嶺高路陡，羊腸小道，崎嶇不平。它要求競賽者膽大心細，騎術嫻熟。競賽開始，騎手們在五六米遠之外，急步前跑，騰空上馬。馬背無鞍，騎者雙腿夾緊馬身，馬兒在盤山小路上向前飛奔，驚心動魄的場面，令人注目神怡。最先到達終點的騎手得到贊揚和獎勵。斗馬的那幾天，小伙子和姑娘們非常活躍。他們集中在山坡上，開展賽蘆笙，“踩堂”等活動。從貴州以及附近村寨前來參加斗馬盛會的各族群眾，多達兩萬人以上，不少人還帶來香菇，木耳、獸皮、藥材、干筍等土特產交換，增添了熱烈的氣氛。
