(一)1.何謂善用空間的演講
所謂空間就是指進行演說的場所范圍、演講者所在之處以及與聽眾間的距離等等。演說者所在之處以位居聽眾注意力容易匯集的地方最為理想。例如開會的時候、主席多半位居會議桌的上方、因為該處正是最容易匯集出席者注意力的地方。
反之,如果主席位居會議桌之正中央,則會議的進行情況會變如何呢?恐怕會使出席者注意力散漫了,且有會議冗長不休的感覺?因此,讓自己位居聽眾注意力容易匯集之處,不但能夠提升聽眾對于演講的關注,甚至具有增強演說者信賴度權威感的效果。
2.演講時的姿勢如何
演說時的姿勢(posture)也會帶給聽眾某種印象,例如堂堂正正的印象或者畏畏縮縮的印象。雖然個人的性格與平日的習慣對此影響頗巨,不過一般而言仍有方便演講的姿勢,即所謂“輕松的姿勢”。要讓身體放松,反過來說就是不要過度緊張。過度的緊張不但會表現出笨拙僵硬的姿勢,而且對于舌頭的動作也會造成不良的影響。
決竅之一是張開雙腳與肩同寬,挺穩整個身軀。另一個決竅是想辦法擴散并減輕施加在身體上的緊張情緒。例如將一只手稍微插入口袋中,或者手觸桌邊、或者手握麥克風等等。
3.演講時的視線
在大眾面前說話,亦即表示必須忍受眾目睽睽的注視。當然,并
非每位聽眾都會對你報以善意的眼光。盡管如此,你還是不可以漠視聽眾的眼光,避開聽眾的視線來說話。尤其當你走到麥克風旁邊站立在大眾面前的那一瞬間,來自聽眾的視線有時甚至會讓你覺得刺痛。
克服這股視線壓力的秘決,就是一面進行演講;一面從聽眾當中找尋對于自己投以善意而溫柔眼光的人。并且無視于那些冷淡的眼光。此外,把自己的視線投向強烈“點頭”以示首肯的人,對鞏固信心來進行演說也具有效果。

(二)1.演講時的臉部表情
演講時的臉部表情無論好壞都會帶給聽眾極其深刻的印象。緊張、疲勞、喜悅、焦慮、等情緒無不清楚地表露在臉上,這是很難藉由本人的意志來加以控制的。演講的內容即使再精彩,如果表情總覺缺乏自信,老是畏畏縮縮,演講就很容易變得欠缺說服力。
控制臉部的方法,首先“不可垂頭”。人一旦“垂頭”就會予人“喪氣”之感,而且若視線不能與聽眾接觸,就難以吸引聽眾的注意。另一個方法是“緩慢說話”。說話速度一旦緩慢,情緒即可穩定,臉部表情也得以放松,再者,全身上下也能夠為之泰然自若起來。

說話的速度也是演講的要素。為了營造沉著的氣氛,說話稍微慢點是很重要。標準大致為5分鐘三張左右的A4原稿,不過,此地要注意的是,倘若從頭至尾一直以相同的速度來進行,聽眾會睡覺的。

演講的溝通,并非全靠“言語”在進行。能夠以“非言語”即所謂的Body Language 和其他為手段來表達各種信息,這已是眾人所熟知的事物。根據某項研究顯示,70%的溝通可說是以“非言語”為媒介來傳達。
因此,臉部表情(facial expressions)、手勢(gesture)、姿態(posture)
等等,無不隱含著重要的意義。這些Body Language與言語、文化具有無法割舍的關系。或許是難得其間三味吧?很多英語學習者往往由于作法不當以致予人“東施效顰”的不良印象,所以不可不慎。
對于演說中Body Language的“東施效顰”究竟意指什么呢?心存疑惑的人想來也是不在少數吧。此處且舉其一為例。在用英語說:“I don't know"的時候,有人便作出稍為攤開雙手并且聳聳肩膀的Body Language。不過這項Body Language系屬相當西洋式的姿勢,如果由東方人來作的的話,經常帶給對方頗不對勁的感覺。這就有如清末民初洋服剛剛傳入中國不久時,當穿起洋服招搖過市的話總要惹人側目的情形一般。
基本上,對于與自己不搭調的Body Language 還是少用為宜。如果刻意擺首弄姿,往往引起反效果。
重要的是,不要勉強。倘若扭捏地模仿”洋人的姿態“,不僅徒然予人卑屈的印象,而且容易招致所謂“中國人也和洋人作同樣的Body Language嗎?”的奇妙誤解。從事演說之際最好根據自己本身的經驗,采取自然形成的“Body Language”為宜。
不過有一點要特別注意,即有關“視線”方面,大部分的中國人都有看著“天空”說話的毛病,容易予人不誠懇的印象,所以要留心盡量目視觀眾才好。

作為律師,聽說讀寫是四項基本技能,其中口才是重中之重,我想很多年輕的律師朋友或多或少都會有這方面的困惑。拿我自己來講,我為什么要把這個題目作為首場課程,因為我在當律師之初,也存在和大家一樣的困惑和顧慮。
我在報考大學的時候,應該說我對自己的口頭表達是非常自信的,所以我為了做律師,就考了當時考分很高的中國政法大學。進了校以后,在大學4年當中,在口頭表達上遭受了一個很嚴重的挫折。在我們入學第一年第一學期的時候,有一個辯論賽,是政法大學的一個傳統,當時的辯題我記得很清楚:“以成敗論英雄,還是不以成敗論英雄?”我們是正方,要以成敗論英雄。在底下大家討論和準備的時候,我都是口若懸河、非常流暢,所以被推舉為四辯。沒想到在年級辯論的場合的時候,一看到臺下黑壓壓的300多人,在臺上辯論也有非常強的程式規定,所以這樣一上臺,到自己發言的時候,頭腦一片空白,當著大家就支支吾吾一句整話沒說出來。
這件事對我的影響很大,以致于我剛剛開始做律師的時候,因為現在很多律師都有這樣的困惑,沒有老師帶,沒有進行過系統的訓練,庭審的表現到底會是什么樣子,自己心里沒底。我剛剛做律師去辦的第一個案子,是一個合作開發的合同糾紛的案子,當時這個案子案情很復雜,準備的證據材料也很多。在法院開庭之前,我記得是下午1點半開庭,中午我在基層法院門口的小飯館吃飯,緊張得手心冒汗,最后沒辦法了,喝了半瓶小二鍋頭,然后才敢進的法庭。最后我的表現超好,因為這二鍋頭的“幫忙”,對自己的那些顧慮、擔憂就沒有那么敏感了。我還記得當時舉證質證的時候,對答如流,對對方律師提供的證據很快地尋找到了瑕疵,發揮得淋漓盡致。
開完庭以后,我想:“拿二鍋頭墊底,恐怕不是長久之計,喝少了不一定能起到預想的效果,喝多了就跟醉酒駕車差不多,律師在法庭上酒氣熏熏的肯定不是一個長久的辦法。”我想:“這是剛剛開庭,開庭的機會多了,開的久了,我的口頭表達就能逐漸變好起來。”但是我沒有想到的是,我在開律師事務所之前這5年間,應該說代理的案件不下二三百件,經歷了這么多的陣戰,都沒有讓我達到一個預期的在法庭上流利表達的程度,因為還是有束縛,總擔心說錯話,總擔心自己的發言會被對方抓住漏洞和把柄,所以在法庭上就很拘謹。
所以,應對庭審的練兵,都沒有讓我突破口頭表達的障礙。但是什么讓我徹底地把包袱放下了?我以前在庭審過程中,比較擅長應對舉證質證過程和法官問答過程,只要說話超過3分鐘,你馬上就會有一些生理的反應:聲音局促,手心冒汗,反應能力下降。你帶著這樣一種狀況,你再要去說什么,恐怕底氣也沒有那么十足,說服力也會打折扣。所以,以我當時那樣一個水平,我是靠一套方法最后超越了口頭表達的障礙,在外講課的時候屋里坐著幾百人,我都可以滔滔不絕地講兩三個小時。
那么,靠什么來突破的?是從2004年我開了律師事務所以后,通過給社區、企業、高管及員工內訓、政府干部講課突破的。

今天的每一家企業都屬于服務業,純粹的生產商將冒較大的風險,舉個最近在美國發生在大事件作為例子:通用和克萊斯勒兩家汽車公司要求政府救助,通用甚至提出破產保護,可是福特汽車卻不需要幫忙,業務平穩現金流健康,差別在哪兒?最大的差別就在于通用和克萊斯勒都還是停留在“生產廠商”的階段,要產能最大化而不管經銷渠道能否賣得了,強迫吃貨,再不行就給貸款吃貨再不行就增加新的經銷商,這是生產導向型企業。可是福特汽車在兩年前引進新總裁,他原任波音飛機副總裁,上任后,他的第一個動作就是“打破行業規矩”,根據“市場需求”制定生產計劃,在幾年前就開始裁員,增加合作伙伴。今天,他是美國汽車行業的唯一幸存者,通用汽車的股票在過去一年跌去了5/6,福特的市值卻漲了四倍。

人們面對變革的挑戰時,會出現壓力,傳統的解決壓力的辦法一般有兩種:一種是用技術性的方法去應對挑戰,壓力降低了,但問題并沒有得到真正的解決,挑戰依然存在。另一種方法是在重壓之下采取逃避策略,逃避工作,逃避挑戰,人一旦逃避,壓力就轉移到其它面對挑戰的人身上,自身壓力降低了,但同樣沒有正面而徹底地解決問題。
還有一種有效方法:在人們到達忍耐限度之前,開始進行調適,調適心態,以適應變革的環境,同時在調適的過程中找到有效的方法。變革帶給人們威脅和不安,調適性就是讓人們直面威脅,將威脅帶來的矛盾公開,從而推動人們積極適應環境,開發新的角色關系,找到有創造力的方法。當人們采取調適產生新的解決方案后,挑戰得到克服,壓力自然降低,學習已經開始。
只有當所有人愿意轉變面對改變的信念,調整應對變化的心態,只有當所有人愿意轉變面對改變的信念,調整應對變化的心態,調適性領導力才可能發揮作用。從“要我做”到“我要做”有兩個條件,一方面領導者在信念上有轉變,真正看到“要我做”的不足和“我要做”的價值,在心態上愿意實現這個轉變,“我要做”才可能在企業中發生;另一方面,團隊成員也要有信念和心態上的轉變,內心愿意,積極主動,“我要做”才能夠成為現實。
