大學英語口語課程介紹

課程背景：

為進一步推動我國大學英語教學，適應國家改革開放的需要，使大學生更加重視英語口語學習，獲得更強的英語口語交際能力。

課程概況：

通過該課程的學習，使學生通過形式多樣的語言技能訓練，能就日常生活中常用的話題用比較簡單的英語準確地表達自己的思想。以達到在具體的社會語境中得體地使用語言的目的。并通過法律環境下的語言教學來提高用英語從事涉外業務的水平，內容包括公共道德、人際關系、生活習慣、校園生活、旅游觀光、環保購物、留學求職等。另根據學生的專業、興趣和未來職業需求，增加外交禮儀，運用英語處理涉外警務活動等內容。

課程性質與任務：

本課程為一門重要的必修的基礎技能課程，主要通過課堂口語實踐，充分喚起學生學習英語的興趣。使學生通過吸收豐富的預料，快速提高聽說能力，深入了解各國文化和社會知識，訓練學生用英語進行思考，有效培養他們的英語交際能力。

教師要根據我校應用型人才培養目標，對課程進行認真研究、深入挖掘。結合課程特點、教學內容和當前形勢及現實生活，對學生進行人生觀、世界觀、價值觀和思想道德品質教育，努力使學生在獲得知識的同時學會做人的道理。

課程的目的與基本要求：

大學英語口語課程實踐與教學方法探究

[摘要]在英語聽、說、讀、寫、譯五大能力的培養中，口語交際能力的重要性被普遍關注，這是社會對于人才需求的發展趨勢。因此，高校廣大師生應高度重視口語交際能力的培養與訓練。口語是學生利用語言進行交流的基礎，也是衡量他們將來能否勝任工作崗位的重要指標。遵循高職教育適合社會發展的需要，結合我國高職英語口語教育發展的現狀，筆者對高職院校英語口語教學方法進行了深入的探討。

教育部在大學英語課程教學大綱【修訂本】中明確要求高校學生能熟練掌握口語課程教學內容并能對適當的考試聽力材料進行回答和復述，能用口語進行一般的日常會話，能就所熟悉的話題經準備后做簡短發言，且表達思想比較清楚，語音語調基本正確。

基于上述要求，大學英語教師如何在口語課堂發揮其主導作用，充分利用多媒體及網絡技術改革口語課程教學模式，幫助學生提高實際口語交際能力，值得我們共同研究和探討。

一、大學英語口語教學模式現狀分析

（一）只注重筆頭功夫，忽視了口頭表達

高職學生在經過了長達十余年的英語學習后，仍有相當大數量的學生只注重筆頭功夫，而忽視了口頭表達，甚至很難做到基本的口語交際，學生只是被動地聽課和做筆記，進行口語訓練的機會較少或根本沒有。

（二）受畏懼心理心理因素的影響，不敢開口講英語

傳統口語教學中，由于知識密度大，而教師又需要在有限的時間及有限的課程內完成相當大量知識的傳授，而且，受師資資源不足的影響，部分院校的英語口語課程根本無法實現小班授課，這樣就造成教師不能兼顧到每一位學生甚至大部分學生的練習，這部分學生掌握較差，容易產生畏懼心理，甚至不敢開口講英語。

（三）學生水平參差不齊，教學效果無法提升

進入高校學習的學生來自祖國各地，受地域及區域教育資源分配不均的影響，其英語水平也大相徑庭，而教師也只能無奈地采取依照大多數同學的程度來開展教學的傳統課堂教學模式，這就導致教師無法因材施教，教學效果也無法得到改善。

（四）教學手段陳舊，教師素質有待進一步提升

計算機多媒體輔助語言教學已經不斷深入到大學英語教學的各個領域，尤其是口語教學中，但是許多教師知識單純地將多媒體設備運用到課程教學中，完成教材中要求的聽、說、讀等任務，并沒有實現真正的人機交互式運作，創造性地設計一些語言訓練任務與學生分享和溝通，也沒有積極地利用計算機和多媒體的一些先進技術軟件和程序制作出符合學生實際的教學課件，只是單一地使用配套教材中的課件，不具實效性。

口語教學不僅要求教師具備過硬的專業理論知識、流利的口語交際能力，還要有創造性的教學技能和操作多媒體設備、制作符合自己學生學情的教學課件的工作能力。

二、大學英語口語教學模式突破

（一）多背誦、多復述

俗話說：“熟讀唐詩三百首，不會作詩也會吟。”學生首先應該對英語語言有一個足夠量的儲備，只有廣泛地閱讀文章，深入地接觸口語交際環境，真切地聆聽情景交際語言，并通過聽覺或視覺感知語言材料，理解語言信息，才能在無形中將所聽到和看到的大量語言信息輸送并存儲于大腦。語言輸入是語言輸出和完成交際的必備條件，增加語言的輸入與儲備是增強口語交際能力的前提，口語交際能力的目的就是要培養學生在特定的環境下清晰、流利地與說話對象進行自由交談。因此，多背誦，多復述是口語課堂教學活動的必備項目。復述的形式多種多樣，教師可以結合實際有選擇性的選取不同形式進行訓練。比如，簡述、詳述、概述、論述等等。實踐證明，背誦和復述訓練能夠使學生在實際運用過程中更加熟練，也能夠很好地激發學生的語用思維能力，是一種有效可行的口語實踐方法。

（二）多討論、多會話

為了培養學生主動用英語思維的好習慣，并結合高職大學生年齡層次的特點，教師可以不定期在口語課堂上就當下社會熱點話題或某些社會現象讓學生展開討論。討論活動由教師提前設定好程序和措施，這種口語實踐活動形式靈活，在話題討論時，為了讓學生感到更放松、自信，可以安排他們圍坐在一起，這樣，每個人都有機會大膽主動發表意見，更有利于學生用英語直接理解、判斷和表達的習慣。可以是小組結合，也可以個人獨自發表意見，總之，盡量使每個學生都得到課堂練習的機會。小組討論的訓練目標主要是培養學生連貫說話的能力，并為他們自由運用語言以及創造性使用語言打下基礎。

開展個人及多人討論活動的本質特征之一就是語言的交互性，這種活動是使學生能夠相互進行精確、流暢而又合適的交流的一種口語實踐活動。當然，教師要及時給予指導，還可提供與話題有關的詞匯或短語，讓學生聽地道的英語表達，培養他們積極、主動地用英語思維的好習慣。課堂上不斷地進行大量討論，將會有效地提升學生的?Z言交際能力。

（三）多參與、多實踐

1.Warm―up熱身環節中，為了使每個學生都能夠快速進入狀態，產生口語表達熱情，教師可以在每一節課前讓學生準備一些簡短的小節目，比如，講英文小故事，場英文歌曲，單詞接龍游戲，電影角色配音等等，這項活動時間不長，難度不高，很能調動全體學生的參與積極性。

2.Lead―in導入環節中，教師可以利用圖片、歌曲、視頻等資源對所講授的主題、內容、進行簡要介紹和導入，以便使學生對課程主題有相應的認識，同時，也順理成章地進入重點的學習。有條件的話，可以提前讓學生準備一些與下一次課程相關的信息并在課堂上與其他同學和教師分享，這也充分地使學生的課堂主體地位得到了體現。

3.Practice實踐環節是英語口語課的最重要部分，教師可通過此環節檢驗學生個人的口語表達情況，也可把學生分成若干小組進行角色扮演，看圖說話并討論等實踐練習，以此來鍛煉他們的語言運用能力。在此環節中，作為教師，應該盡量的鼓勵、激發學生參與的熱情增強他們的動力，以達到良好的課堂練習效果。

4.Evaluation點評環節是師生互動的重要基礎，也是活躍課堂氣氛的良好保證。學生發言或表演完成后，教師應及時對學生的表現進行有針對性、全面地點評，多用鼓勵性和建議性的言語。也可以嘗試讓其他同學參與到點評環節中來，這樣一方面會更突出學生的主體地位，也極大地增強了每一位學生參與的積極性。

5.After―school assignment口語作業環節中，尤其要注重作業的時效性，口語作業多為口頭作業，比如模擬課文情景對話、主題演講、英文歌曲學唱、復述課文、講演英文故事等等，作業形式較其他而言靈活多樣，但是需要強調的是，教師要加大課下作業的檢查力度，以確保循序漸進，課堂內容有條不紊地進行。

（四）多嘗試、多評估

英語口語課堂是實踐性很強的課堂，從某種意義上講，它類似于一場表演，其中，教師是導演，學生是演員，教材是劇本，教學活動則是一場場演出，首先，導演應該充分拿捏劇本，把握得當，否則，指導必然有誤；演員若表演失利，則演出失敗，由此看出，學生是口語教學活動成敗的關鍵角色。

基于這個因素，首先應該確立學生在語言課堂的主體地位，教師只是課堂的主導，起到指揮指導作用，教師與學生的角色有了顯著變化后，更有利于口語課堂多元化教學模式的開展。如同演員應該多嘗試不同形式的演出一樣，學生也應該在教師的指導下多嘗試各種教學活動和設計。

1.Tongue―twisters Competition繞口令口語練習

繞口令練習是英語口語課堂活動中的必備項。英語口語練習中，語音學習尤為重要，它是語言學習的基礎，而繞口令練習恰恰適用于英語語音練習，并能最大限度地調動學生的積極性，激發學生練習口語的興趣，不僅如此，繞口令練習還能幫助學生掌握一些較難語音的發音技巧。

教師可以定期開展繞口令練習活動，并對學生們的表現給予及時評價和確切指導。

2.Singing English Songs學唱英文歌曲

用英文歌曲來幫助語言學習，能在很大程度上有效地促進口語學習效率。英語學習時間跨度較長，涉及范圍較廣，對于學生們來說是一場艱難的“戰斗”，在這樣的環境中，英文歌曲恰恰是良好的調節劑，朗朗上口的音樂及唱詞會使學生們的口語練習更有趣，更高效，同時，也無形中陶冶了學生們的情操，使其口語學習更輕松，更有文化韻味。

3.Speech Contest演講比賽

一般來講，英語口語氛圍可以分為正式和非正式兩種，區別于即席講話，邊說邊思考的非正式語言環境，英語演講比賽則是一種正式語言練習場和，通常地，比賽要求選手賽前充分準備，嚴肅認真，語言精練，結構緊湊，表達流利。英語演講比賽是提高學生們的口語水平的絕佳途徑，也是教師口語課堂教學效果的有力體現。

4.Debating辯論

對于英語口語課堂而言，辯論活動必不可少，這種正式、嚴肅的教學活動有利于營造競爭、積極、平等的課堂氛圍，能從很大程度上調動學生的積極性和參與欲望，最大程度地提升了學生的主體地位。

另外，辯論活動形式靈活，組織起來也較為方便，教師可以在課堂教學活動開始之前，給學生一到兩天的準備時間，然后在課堂活動中，合理安排參與辯論活動的同學就座展開自由辯論，教師作為辯論主席維持辯論活動結構與秩序，并要求對于辯論觀點持中間態度的同學做出相應的評論與評判。

這種教學實踐形式一方面能夠最大限度地體現“精講多練”的原則，另一方面，也能極大地著重鍛煉學生的辯論能力，最重要的是，在辯論活動中，學生能夠主動地聯系到將平時所學的知識并創造性地轉化為實際口語表達能力，真正實現學有所長，學有所用。

5.Role―play分角色扮演

《大學英語口語教程》中有很多內容適合學生進行角色模仿和扮演，比如，不同情境中的角色扮演可以讓學生在虛擬的情景中快樂的體驗各種人物角色，學生的模仿能力和可塑性都很強，在提升口語表達能力的同時，也能將人物角色表演得到位出色，更能很好地與其他同學互動，形成良好的課堂氛圍，從而達到了寓教于樂的教學目標。

當然，每一位同學的表演及口語表達能力不同，會出現各方面的問題，教師在指導過程中務必多加使用鼓勵性的語句，以便增進學生參與的積極性，只要定期合理安排合適的內容讓學生演練，一段時間下來，定能有豐富的收獲。

6.Movie英文原聲電影

英文電影故事情節生動，影視中人物語言發音標準清晰，這種直觀的視覺效果能夠激發學生的口語練習興趣，強化學生記憶，進而強化教學效果。語言的學習離不開語境，從英語應用語言學的角度出發，語境在語言學習中更為重要，英語語境的設置對于口語的學習與訓練水平的提升起著重要影響。在我國，出了課堂教學以外，英語口語的練習與使用語境很少，因此，大學英語教師應盡可能地為學生創設原生態的語言環境，英文原聲電影必定是一個很好的方式。

另外，學生通過欣賞英文電影，可以更多地了解西方社會文化，縮小文化差異，消除溝通障礙，同時，學生??還可以學到許多不同交際場合、地點及時問的特殊口語表達，這是對教材的有力補充，再者，學生們通過對感興趣的場景和人物進行模仿，可以最大程度地避免漢語式思維或漢語式英語的出現，也有利于豐富學生們課余文化生活，并陶冶情操。

三、結語

高職高專學生基礎相對較差，而且差異較大，口語教師應該首先確保學生基礎知識的掌握，因材施教，對于不同水平的學生進行分別指導；其次，對學生的學習及課堂表現多加鼓勵，讓學生勇于表現自己，敢于大聲說英語，讓自信心成為鞏固興趣的來源；再者，教師要多學習和嘗試現代化教學模式，并結合實際學情制定出符合本校學生的多元化教學模式，將這種教學模式由課內延伸到課外，使學生保持口語練習的興趣及熱情。

教學實踐證明，英語口頭表達與交際能力的培養需要大量反復練習和充分實踐。教師在教學過程中應采用多元化的教學模式，并根據具體情況，針對學生主體的英語知識水平和能力，積極指導學生，制定符合學生的學習目標和計劃，整合出合適的學習內容并提供盡可能多的練習機會，使學生在靈活多變的口語課堂教學模式中得到充分鍛煉，使其口語交際能力得到全面提升以適應未來的職業需求。
