公司對面新餐館開張，熱熱鬧鬧地放鞭炮。在辦公室里看過去，是一家規(guī)模中等的家常菜館。中午下班，幾個同事約在一起，過去吃飯。

①前不久，一條新聞引起全世界關(guān)注：中國科學院等離子體物理研究所研制的“人造太陽”調(diào)試成功，年內(nèi)即可試發(fā)電。

②“人造太陽”？難道真要在地球上造一個太陽？當然不是！“人造太陽”是指科學家利用太陽核反應原理，為人類制造一種能提供能源的機器——人工可控核聚變裝置，科學家稱它為“全超導托克馬克試驗裝置”。

③太陽的光和熱，來源于氫的兩個同胞兄弟——氘和氚（物理學叫氫的同位素）在聚變成一個氦原子的過程中釋放出的能量。“人造太陽”就是模仿這一過程。

④氫彈是人們最早制造出的“人造太陽”。但氫彈的聚變過程是不可控的，它瞬間釋放出的巨大能量足以毀滅一切。而“全超導托克馬克試驗裝置”卻能夠穩(wěn)定控制核聚變，使聚變產(chǎn)生的能量緩緩輸出，轉(zhuǎn)化為人們可持續(xù)使用的電能。

⑤核聚變反應，首要條件是高溫高壓。太陽中心的溫度高達1500萬攝氏度，壓強達到3000多億個大氣壓。在這樣的高溫高壓下，太陽的聚變反應非常容易。但在地球上可不容易，因為用任何一種材料制作的容器都無法耐受這樣的高溫高壓。

⑥怎么辦？科學家們想到了用磁場做容器。從氫彈爆炸至今，科學界用了60年的努力，目前已成功地在磁場容器中將溫度提高到4億至5億攝氏度，然后投入氘氚產(chǎn)生聚變反應。但由于很難把這種高溫長時間維持下去，所以全世界30多個國家上百個實驗裝置的聚變放電時間都很短！少則幾秒，長的也不過數(shù)百秒。我國從1965年研究“人造太陽”開始，如今已能使放電時間持續(xù)千秒以上。

⑦所以，科學家說，建設(shè)核聚變電站投入民用，至少要再等上50年時間。但等待是值得的！現(xiàn)在地球上的石油、煤炭等化石能源至多可用200年時間，其中石油不足50年。即使目前核裂變電站使用的鈾燃料，全世界也只能再開采60年。用這些材料做能源還有個致命弱點——環(huán)境污染！

⑧相反，氘和氚卻是清潔能源，如空氣中平時就有氘和氚。所以不用擔心聚變反應會產(chǎn)生廢氣、廢渣和放射性污染等問題。有人擔心電站爆炸，但科學家說，聚變在磁場中進行，維持溫度已很不易，只要稍微馬虎，溫度就會降下來，聚變就停止了，因此爆炸的可能性是零。

⑨氘和氚是取之不盡用之不竭的能源。世界海洋中大概蘊藏了40萬億噸氘。如果全部用于聚變反應，釋放的能量足夠人類使用幾百億年，這比太陽的壽命還要長了。
