讀書就是要“過河拆橋” ① 我的讀書經驗總結起來有四點：精其選，解其言，知其意，明其理。

②先說第一點。古今中外，積累起來的書真是浩如煙海，書雖多，有價值的還是少數。可以把書分為三類，第一類是要精讀的，第二類是可以泛讀的，第三類是僅供翻閱的。

③哪些書是值得精讀的呢？自古以來，已經有一位最公正的評選家，有許多推薦者向它推薦好書。這個評選家就是時間，這些推薦者就是群眾。歷來的群眾，把他們認為有價值的書推薦給時間，時間照著他們的推薦，把那些沒有永久價值的書都刷下去了，讓那些有永久價值的書流傳下來。現在我們所讀的古典著作都是經過時間考驗的，這一類的書都是應該精讀的。當然隨著時間的推移和歷史的發展，這些書之中有些還要被刷下去。不過直到現在為止，它們都是榜上有名的。

⑧知其意之后，還要明其理。理是客觀的道理；

意是作者主觀的認識和判斷，也就是客觀的道理在他主觀上的反映。

⑨理和意既然有主觀客觀之分，意和理就不能完全相合。人總是人，做不到全知全能。他主觀上的反映、體會和判斷，和客觀的道理總要有一定的差距，所以讀書僅至知其意還不行，還要明其理，才不至于為前人所得的意所誤。如果明其理，就有自己的意。我的意也是主觀的，也不光全合乎客觀的理，但我還可以把我的意和前人的意互相比較，補充，互相糾正，得出的意就可能比較正確，這個章是我的，我就可以用它處理學分 解決問題。

⑩讀書到這個程度就算是把書讀活了，就是書為我所用，讀書就算讀到家了。
