1.Why did Chris want to go to Alaska?

The reason Chris went to Alaska was that he was tired of his family and the so called sick society.It’s a kind of escaping.What Chris wanted was absolute freedom.His parents didn’t have a good relationship.Chris’s memory about his family was filled with quarreling and violence.The memory was just like a nightmare that he couldn’t get rid of.He thought his parents were living their life with masks.Further more the whole society was sick in his eyes.It was full of obligations laws and hypocrite.He was a perfect student who was being admitted by Harvard law.However, he himself just treated his school work as dull and boring duty.It’s just a kind of obligation.He just completed his school work under the pressure of his family, religions and society.He wanted to get away from all of these.He wanted to be Alaska living with nothing, just being there in that moment, in that special place and time.Chris wanted to be Alaska to get rid of his family and the society so as to acquire absolute freedom.2.Is Christopher McCandless an inspirational hero or a na?ve fool? Why?

Christopher Mccandless is an inspirational hero.He is an inspirational hero both physically and mentally.First, he had striking physical strength.He had been in South Dakota and tried rapids in Colorado River all the way down through the Grand Canyon.He even went to Mexico before reaching his spiritual destination Alaska.Second, he could distinguish love from hatred, good from bad.He knew what he wanted clearly.He could spare no efforts to seek his dream.Third, in my opinion a man who can put his great dream into practice is a hero.No doubt Chris made it!To some degree, it was a sick world.Many people may saw the evil side of the world.However rare persons could speak out, let alone showed off their blood and fire.Chris made it!Chris was a strong giant who was bold enough to have a dream against the society.He was also a person who had faith and strength to realize his tough dream.Chris is a super hero!

3.After Chris graduated from college, he decided to travel to Alaska.If you could travel anywhere in the world after graduation, where would you go? Why?

When I graduate I would like to go to Holland, because I love the atmosphere of north Europe.It’s quiet, clean and romantic.Definitely, so many places of interests are charming to me.The USA is prosperous and full of magic.However, in my impression, American is crowded and noisy as well as the main part of Europe.I want to travel to someplace which can clear my spirit and bring me the beauty of nature.I would like to live in a farm in Holland.There will be a windmill on the farm.I would get up early to breathe the clear air.I will lose myself in the scenery of sun rise and the countless roses on the farm.All of these scenery will bring me absolute relax throughout my whole body.I would like to travel to Holland to clear my spirit and feel the quiet beauty of nature.4.In his notebook Chris writes, “Happiness [is] only real when shared.” Do you agree? Why or why not?

I believe in“Happiness only real when shared”.No one can live out of the society, even if you may dislike it or hate it.Everyone is a member of society.There you own your parents, your partner and your friends.With all the people who love you and whom you love, you can

share your bitterness and happiness.When you are happy someone may laugh out loud with you.That’s good and that’s enough.In my opinion, what we do in life is partly for ourselves.We are seeking a better and more comfortable life for ourselves.The left part is for the guys we really care.We won’t want to let them down.We want to bring them happiness.Maybe we could just get great happiness from their happiness, even just a happy word or a smile.So only by being with the ones you care, only by sharing, can you acquire real happiness.5.Write an alternate ending for Into the Wild.Be creative!

I’m dying!Chris thought.He was extremely hungry.He was faint.He closed his eyes and waited the bus to the Heaven.Suddenly, something flew down to his face.He opened his mouth with all his strength unconsciously.Some liquid flew into his mouth.Oh!It’s milk!Then he touched something like breast, he greedily sucked the milk flew out of it……

After a period of time, he struggled to open his eyes.Everything is indistinct.To his great surprise, a deer!It’s a deer!A deer saved his life!He saw tears in the deer’s eyes.She looked despairing.Then the deer got out of the bus.Chris also climbed out of the bus following her.The deer just walked around following some small footprints, and called with sorrow every now and then.Chris seemed knew what happened.Her children got lost and she followed the small footprints here.But she still couldn’t find her children.Then Chris saw the deer moved to the cliff.She called out to the Heaven and suddenly disappeared!He could do nothing with a strengthless body.Tears flew out of his eyes.I know what I should do.He said.Two days later, Chris recovered completely.He packed his baggage and went to the cliff where the deer falling down.He bowed over deep for a long time.Then Chris raised his head and shouted out to the sky “Thank you Alaska!Good bye!” Then Chris headed for south without looking back.

There is a provoking scene: “a piece of white and light feather is flying under the blue sky, and dropping down gradually to Forrest Gump’s feet who sit on the bench for bus.” Just like the feather is swaying with the wind, so is the human being’s life.Most of time, we are wondering everywhere without specific direction, goal and hope.What is more, we always look on life as tedious and even annoying.However, fate is mastered by our own, just like Forrest Gump devoted all his life to running for his own sky.“Each man is the architect of his own fate”, such is the remark made by one of the great figure.This remark has been confirmed by more and more people.Forrest t Gump is an outstanding example.As the film told us Forrest Gump, born with disable body, he is a good soccer athlete, an hero in Vietnam war , a captain own shrimp ship, a runner crossing the whole America.Asking yourself, who we are? What is the accomplishment that we can show off.Every one creates his or her own reality.We have absolute rights to describe our life.When you learned what you make of life is up to you and begin to live your life, you are able to design it according to your desires.To remember that success lies within you, in my own brain, my own ambition, and my own determination.One of the great figure remarked that unrest of spirit is a mark of life.This is the reflection of Forrest Gump’s life;he born with leg has disability.However, with astonishing speed, Forrest Gump entered the soccer team, then went to university and eventually graduates.Soon, he took part in the Vietnam War.In the Vietnam War, he is still remembered the words of Jeanne, ran his own life, honor and friendship.He just wanted to run;he used a running measure his life.As we all known, an optimistic is not a luxury;it is a necessity.The way you look at life will determine how you feel and how you perform.There is enough good and bad in everyone’s life.Think about Forrest Gump, at every stage of his life, he has only one goal in mind to guide him, and keep positive attitudes towards the world.In our lives ,though barriers may sometimes stand in the way of your dreams, you should remember that your destiny is hiding behind them, to be optimistic and follow your dreams your ultimate goal is attainable so long as you commit are choosing to react positively to their diversities, tough times never last, but you should being positive.Life is a journey full of stumbling blocks, dangerous traps and unexpected crises, if you have known clearly what you want to be, it is optimistic, unrest of spirit and perseverance that carry you there.As far as my own experience as a student is concerned, nothing is more important than those merits in achieving success.Please keep running and never give up on yourself.人文與外國語學院 英語0904班 趙子龍 0912010404

Last week I had watched a cartoon movie through the English learning center.The name of this movie I had told you in the title, but you’ll never guess the story of it which has very big difference between what we watched and read when we were young.I can’t ensure weather it is one of prototypeof the Grimm's Fairy Tales, I’m sure it’s an interesting cartoon movie.I write the essay to introduce some interesting points about the movie, of course included certain sentiment from my heart.Do you remember the hateful timber wolfthat always tends to hurt the little Red and her grandmother? And maybe you will ask me why I ask thisquestion.Now I give you the brief introduction of Hoodwinked.The grizzliesand stork agent bill was ordered to investigate little red riding hood grandmother's house in case Of unrest, many people are police on charges Of criminal suspects, allowing researchers to include karate master little red riding hood, funny and a satirical Wolf, a slightly dementia in the woods Of Paul Bunyan.They were accused of there are a number of charges, including: the damage and the illegal invasion, and undermine social stability, illegal steal to eat, no license to use the axe, etc.However, all accused the suspects have their own story to tell, and this has become complicated and confusing the truth of the case, the only one, who is the real murderer......The film is the first a fully independent investment shooting computer animation feature film.Follow is my thoughts about the movie.From the timber wolf police I know that we can’t judge a person by his or her appearance.The kind person not to grow good looking, but the bad person must be ugly.What’s more, we can’t wrong people before finding the final facts.The clever girl Red is an adventurous people.Little red riding hood will do deliciousdesserts,Will ride a bike, sing fair-sounding songs.If let me say who lay the deepest impression on my brain, the Red’s grandmother, is she.She is healthy, energetic, active, no longer that week old women.I believe the people who always take exercise will be more healthy than who that in the same age.Doesn’t she is the better example of it.The movie was directed by Cory Edward Cory Edwards.毛米蘭

2.看了《瘋狂原始人》，劇中的一句：no dark,nohide,no cave至今一直圍繞在我的腦海中。另我很感動。我在想這樣一部動漫作品不但3D效果逼真，還傳遞了這種勇于打破傳統(tǒng)，勇于創(chuàng)新的正能量。不僅如此，片中情義深重。有父女之情，一個爸爸對青春期女兒的那份保護，那份依戀不舍，那種責任十分讓人動情。還有愛情，女孩情竇初開對男孩的崇拜和愛慕，處理得很純潔。還有老人對自己女婿寬容以至最后的認同，都躍然紙上，生動逼真。我今年20歲，這部影片讓我既娛樂了身心，也給我很多人生的啟迪，也許我現(xiàn)在還沒有考慮到這么多，但潛移默化中給了我正確的教育。

生活是什么，總是伴著生命的價值是什么？存在主義的視角上說，存在本身就是一種價值。在很大程度上我認同這種觀點，存在即是存在的價值。因為討論價值，必須是在存在的基礎(chǔ)之上；離開存在，是無法談?wù)搩r值。我們要先承認存在，而后再探究其價值。

活著就是在不斷地追求一種信念中的明天。或許有些太理想化，人不會永遠樂觀，充滿信念，但除了形而上之維，要建構(gòu)存在的價值，離開信念中對于生活的追尋，確實很難找到一個令人信服的理由。

更加抽象地說，生活本身就是一種信念。信念趨向于物質(zhì)成功，則生活轉(zhuǎn)化為成功的范式，信念趨向于向社會奉獻，則生活轉(zhuǎn)化為奉獻的范式。信念于自我的閉塞，則生活變得狹隘；信念于自我的開放，則生活變得開闊。

生活是一系列關(guān)于信念的選擇。電影，或許所傳導就是一種開放式的信念，明天在每個人內(nèi)心的詮釋不同，但是明天是可以選擇的，也必須基于選擇之后的努力而達到。

When it comes to my favorite movie, I will say” The Lord of the Rings” without hesitation.Directed by Peter Jackson, the movie is very popular and has drawn large audiences by it magnificent scene of war and the vivid description of people.Telling aboutsacrificing lives todefend the homeland for the world?s bright future, the movie consists of three parts, they are“the fellowship of the ring”, “the two towers”and” the return of the king”.There is a character that moves me most, whose name is Frodo Baggins.He is a hobbit living in Shire, but the ordinary hobbitbears the burden voluntarilywhich seems can?t be completed.It?s true that he is one of the Nine Walkers in the company of ring but, nevertheless, all the main job falls upon his shoulders.Frodo Baggins, like Jesus, bears his cross throughout the three parts of the fantasy adventure, not trusting anyone with his heavy and, at times, dangerous burden.Despite knowing that his true friend Sam is always ready to help, Frodo knows-he is the one responsible for the outcome of the journey.Frodo, as we all know, is a strong character bearing the One Ring longer than anyone else.Prolonging his life, the ring undermines his health however.After the journey, his distinctive mark is the scar on his left chest, wounded by the King ?sNazgul?s blade.What?s more, he was short of one of his fingers, which was bitten off by Gollum together with the ring on the slope of the Mountain Doom.It?s hard to imagine that an ordinary person can complete the task.Frodo wants to give up during the journey, but he doesn?t turn back, for he holds on to the belief that there must be something good in this world which worth fighting for.Even if you are not powerful, not strong, you can change the world like any great man.This is what I learn from” The Lord of the Rings”.Everyone can be a lord.
