Good evening, everyone.My name is Hu Guifang ,from class A 2011.I am glad to stand here to deliver my speech called “Youth Dreams, Brilliant Years ”.To be honest, I am lacking soclearandambitiousdreams.My expectation of youth is that when I look back at my life, I will have no regrets over any time that passed, nor will I feel ashamed of not accomplishing anything---just as the saying goes.In which way our years can be described as brilliant? I hold the opinion that we do what we should do first and then do what we want to do.As a student, the most fundumental thing we should do is reading ,of course, not limited to textbook.Really , books can enrich our lives.Only if we lay a solid foundation of knowledge, learn some skills and open our vision can we be qualified to enjoy life: traveling, shopping, climbing or something like that.Otherwise, we may feel uneasy while we are playing for fun, and the so called brilliant years will be like colored bubbles, which are splendid but hollow and short-lived.In addition, the state of one day is

determined by our mood, so controlling our emotion is really a compulsory course for us.Though it is extremely

difficult, we still have to.We wouldn't be happy if we can't let go of the bothersome trifles.Moreover, our youth can't be short of hardship.Everything well goes one’s way, which is sad and far from lucky.Life is sometimes out of our control , I mean, in bad order.However ,in that

way ,we may have more excellent experience and we have chance to taste sweetness after suffering.The brilliance of our youth must be like the splendor of diamonds, it won't appear before polishing.Let's endeavor to it and wait for it.Thank you!

Ladies and gentlemen, good afternoon!I’m very glad to stand here and give you a short speech.Today my topic is ‘colorful youth’.I want to ask you a simple question.What is the meaning of youth in your mind?

Well, some people say that youth is a song echoed the cheerful beautiful melody, while some people say that youth is a painting engraved with the rich romantic colors.However, I think that the process to realize our dream is the most beautiful song of the youth and it is what makes our youth colorful.And here I want to talk about a friend of mine.I think she is the right person to represent the colorful youth.When we were young in the high school, she told me that her dream was to be a teacher in the remote mountain areas, to help the poor children and give them sunshine to make their life colorful.At that time, I didn’t care her words much but she was really serious.After we graduated, she went to a normal college.She studied very hard and began to make money at weekends.Some of my classmates said she didn’t enjoy her youth.But I began to understand her.She was making effort to realize her young dream.Now she is a teacher in a remote village where life is not so comfortable.Last week I contacted her and felt she was very happy to have her dream realized.She said sometimes life was miserable, but when she saw the beautiful mountain and the children’s smile, she felt the world became colorful.If there is rain in that village, I believe she is the sunshine in the rain.The children’s faces reflect the rainbow and that’s what colorful youth really is.What about us, my dear friends? Just imagine what our youth will be like without dreams.It might be very boring, right? Now it’s time to wake up.Youth is right there, find out what our dreams are and engage ourselves in hard work, because that is the very essence of youth!
