預測：基于文本的標題/圖片。（看具體情況而定）

目的：通過猜測，引起SS的學習興趣，幫助他們了解他們可能會遇到新的單詞和短語，一邊讀書，鋪平道路下面的學習方式和培養的預測能力。

{與此同時，一些如“EA”（豌豆，茶葉，盛宴......）和“ER”（黃瓜）的字母串的發音突出，以培養學生的語音靈敏度。}（如果有語音教學則可滲透。）第3步雖然閱讀（15分鐘）有兩個任務的SS。一讀：
