一、設計意圖:

根據國家《英語課程標準》一級目標的要求,四年級的英語教學主要以激發學生學習英語的興趣,培養學生英語學習的積極態度為主,使學生建立初步的學習英語的自信心,培養一定的語感和良好的語音、語調基礎,使學生形成初步用英語進行簡單日常交流的能力,為進一步學習打下基礎。在整個教學設計過程中,以培養優秀馴養員為主線,引導學生通過教師設計聽、說、讀、寫的教學活動,在評選“最佳馴養員”的任務過程中,學習語言、運用語言,發展綜合語言運用能力,達到“學以致用”的目的。

二、教材分析:

根據《英語課程標準》一級目標的內容,要求學生能在圖片和動作的提示下聽懂本課的小故事并作出適當的反應;能根據老師的指令做事情,如涂顏色、畫圖、做動作等;能根據課文錄音,模仿語音語調,并做簡單的角色表演。本課內容繼續圍繞主人公Robert、Flora和他們的寵物之間的故事展開。本課作為十二單元的第一課,主要內容為動詞短語和祈使句的學習,并為本單元第二、三課的學習做鋪墊。

三、學情分析:

新概念英語青少版以三年級為起點,四年級學生在經過一年的英語學習之后,學生已經學習了一些關于食物、物品的單詞以及方位介詞,如:bone, hamburger, sausage, bed, ball, in, on, under …等。本課則要求學生能夠用eat, drink, catch等動詞加上名詞或者短語,使之成為祈使句。對于第一次接觸動祈使句學習的學生來說,具有一定的難度。四年級的學生對英語有好奇心,喜歡聽他人說英語。能根據教師的簡單指令做游戲、做動作、做事情(如涂顏色、連線)。因此,教師通過巧妙的設計,將學習內容與學生喜歡的寵物聯系到一起,有趣、真實、貼近生活,充分激發學生的學習興趣。

《新概念英語青少版》是專門為中國814歲青少年以及英語初學者編寫的,作為一名英語教師,我在教授這門課程時,在秉承其先進教學理念的基礎上,結合班級學生的實際情況,總結了一套教學方法,加入了一些自己的教學經驗。

1.突出復習。由于本教材是參照語法大綱、循序漸進的編排的,由淺入深,注重新舊知識的結合。所以,課堂上前二十分鐘的復習十分關鍵。突出復習的作用就在于讓學生在學習新知識前鞏固所學過的知識,這樣才可以在良好扎實的基礎上,更容易、更清楚的接受新知識。尤為重要的是,每堂課的復習并不只局限于上一次所學習的內容,是可以以分類式復習來溫習所有相關的知識的,正符合本教材的特點,即語法內容以線性的形式呈現給學生,從而持續不斷的復習并重復所學內容。例如,《新概念英語青少版》1A Unit1Unit7中都在不斷學習特殊疑問句,在學習Unit 8前我給學生列出了所有學過的特殊疑問詞:what, which, who, whose, where, when, how等,讓學生回想所學過的有關句型,并舉例練習。這樣,學習Unit 8時,相關知識就可以“不點即通”了。這樣就可以讓學生真正靈活掌握所學知識,而且可以用舊知識去學習新知識。

2.突出課文。由于本教材配有大量彩色插圖,人物形象活潑生動,并配有DVD光盤和MP3。為此,我校還配置了相關設備,筆記本電腦、投影儀、音響等,這樣就可以讓學生課堂上觀看課文內容,刺激他們的聽覺、視覺,從而促使他們主動的學習語言。所以,利用現代化設備突出生動的課文,是激發學生學習英語的興趣和動力的關鍵。突出課文的作用是可以讓學生在英語的語言環境中學習單詞、句子、段落、對話、文章,從而更好的理解文章的意思,記住關鍵句的語言點。教學步驟如下:首先看DVD光盤,了解整篇課文接著跟讀句子,模仿光盤中的語音語調,這樣既可以使學生的語音語調更加純正,同時也能學會生詞的發音;再次,看DVD溫習文章,盡量記住句型;最后,學生逐個回答有關課文的提問,從而檢查每個學生理解課文的情況,并鍛煉學生的口語表達能力。

3.突出課件。我校教師還為本教材每個單元的教學制作了相關課件,是教授語法的關鍵。突出課件的作用是可以讓學生在學習語法時,與畫面相結合,更易理解語法結構和意思。例如,在《新概念英語青少版》1A中Unit3的課件中,既有Robert騎在自行車上的圖片,也有Mr.Jenkins打傘的圖片等等。同時,在圖片旁邊還配有相關的句型結構:Who is that boy? Who’s that man? 用這樣的方式教授由Who引導的特殊疑問句時,學生就可以立即明白是什么意思,并且可以仿照造句、靈活運用了。

總之,通過學習新概念英語青少版1A這套非常實用的教材,青少年學生一定能體驗到英語學習的快樂,收獲豐碩的成果。

因此,我們建議學習完《新概念英語青少版》3個級別后,程度好的學生可以直接學習《新概念英語》第二冊的后半冊(Unit3-4);程度一般的學生還是應該從頭學習《新概念英語》第二冊。
