(一)第一節(jié) 圖表作文的類型

圖表作文可分為兩大類:表作文和圖作文。

表作文

表格(Table)可以使大量數(shù)據(jù)系統(tǒng)化,便于閱讀、比較。表格常由標題(Title)、表頭(Boxhead)(表格的第一行)、側(cè)目(Stub)(表格左邊的第一列)和主體(Body)部分(表格的其余部分)等部分組成。如下表:

用表格表達的信息具體準確,而且表格中的各項均按一定規(guī)律排列。閱讀表格時要注意找出表格中各個項目的相互關系,表格中各個項目的變化規(guī)律。例如,上面的表格中的數(shù)字說明,和1978年相比,1983年大學入學的人數(shù)在增加,而小學的入學人數(shù)在減少。搞清楚這些變化規(guī)律也就讀懂了表格的內(nèi)容。

圖作文

圖作文又可分為三種:圓形圖作文、曲線圖作文和條狀圖作文。

(1)圓形圖作文

圓形圖(Pie chart)也稱為餅狀圖或圓面分割圖。圓形圖因為比較形象和直觀,各部分空間大小差別容易分辨,所以常用來表示總量和各分量之間的百分比關系。整個圓表示總量,楔形塊表示分量。有時圓形圖還有數(shù)值表,兩者結(jié)合可把各分量表示得更準確、清楚。例如:

(3)條形圖作文

條形圖(Bar graph)也稱為立柱圖或圓柱圖。條形圖由寬度相同但長度不同的條塊代表不同的量。當要比較幾個項目或量時,常用不同顏色來區(qū)分。條形圖主要用來表示:1)同一項目在不同時間的量;2)同一時間不同項目的量。閱讀條形圖時,要先看圖例,再看橫軸、縱橫各代表什么量,每一個刻度所代表的值是多少,最后找出圖中各長條所表示的數(shù)據(jù)及各長條間的相互關系。例如:

圖表作文著重說明事實,常常是通過對圖表中所反映的具體數(shù)據(jù)的說明、分析、比較,對某種事物或現(xiàn)象的事實或變化情況等加以說明,并提出結(jié)論或看法。因此,圖表作文常常采用議論文體的寫作方法。

圖表作文的寫作步驟

一、活動目的:

本次校園英語二課堂活動,以提高選拔四年級英語優(yōu)生的聽,說,讀,寫的能力為重點,形式多樣的英語活動為載體,營造良好的英語學習的氛圍,豐富校園文化生活,為縣英語競賽做充分準備。

二、時間:每天下午活動時間

四、發(fā)現(xiàn)的問題以及改進方向:

1.以教材為中心拓展思路,提高口語。

由于有教材可循,所以在認真鉆研教材的基礎上,輔導學生,學生掌握課本的同時,做相關的練習,并做好記錄;然后根據(jù)學生的實際情況,補充輔導材料,鞏固及拓展學生的知識面。發(fā)現(xiàn)學生的口語表達還是欠佳,還需要想辦法多練習。

2.在精選活動內(nèi)容的基礎上,強化學習方法。

從歷年的英語競賽題看,英語是一門需要積累的學科,更多的需要方法的指引。好多學生的答題的習慣和方法很不好。遇到不認識的單詞不會聯(lián)系前后句子意思進行猜測;對于閱讀中給出的重點單詞和詞組不能很好的利用。因此除了在要求學生熟練掌握肯本要求掌握的知識外,我還交給了學生一些必要的答題方法,如篩選,提煉,排除法等。

3.仔細研究賽題,將知識進行融會貫通的整理。

要仔細研究歷年競賽試題和出題思路,并注重資料的收集,對歷次競賽中的一些難題和易錯的題型加以整理,并設計一些有針對性的練習題。英語前后練習很緊,不能光在四年級這一年級的知識上進行練習,要參考和結(jié)合五六年級的知識,進行融會貫通的整理,進行相關的有很針對的練習。

4.活動的時間不能保證,很多時候活動時間總是被其他工作擠暫。而且有幾個參加二課堂的學生同時還參加了學校的其他技能競賽,活動的時間更是不好保證。以后不光要利用好活動時間,還要利用好休息時間,中午午休時間。在選人的時候盡量避免不要和其他活動人緣沖突。

通過舉辦校園英語活動,學生對英語產(chǎn)生了積極的興趣和愛好,提高了聽,說,讀,寫的能力。但是競賽的成績還是很糟糕,下學期我會吸取教訓,再接再厲,更加努力開展活動。
