第四篇：申請美國大學本科流程

2014年9月—2015年6月準備SAT,IELTS或 TOFEL。

英語基礎較好學生，用6 個月的時間準備SAT,IELTS或TOEFL 兩個考試比較合適;英語基礎相對較弱者要把復習時間提前，同時加大強度。

2015年6月定位專業方向、篩選學校

學生要對自己專業學校進行預先選擇，查閱各學校的情況，對自己要申請的學校有一個大概的了解。如果時間緊，也可以把這一步委托中介或代理公司做。2015 年6—7月參加SAT,IELTS或TOFEL考試

2015年7—8月確定要申請的學校

美國大學申請

大學申請種類分為Early decision（ED）, Early action（EA）, 和 regular decision（RD）三種。ED（有些學校發分為ED1和ED2兩種）是在11月份左右提交材料，只能申請一所學校，如果被該學校所錄取，則不能再參加RD選擇其他學校。EA也是在11~12月份左右遞交材料，可以申請好幾所，如果被學校錄取，可以不選擇該校或繼續申請RD。RD是正常的申請大學程序，一般提交材料申請時間截止在1月份左右。ED、EA并非所有學校都提供，且錄取率比RD要低的多。

對于絕大部分美國學校來說，都會建議申請人通過網絡來提交申請，除非有特殊的情況，申請人采用online的方式提交申請以及繳納申請費。需要提供的材料如下：

1．學術類：中學平時成績，俗稱GPA(Grade Point Average), 標準化考試成績(托福或雅思語言考試成績，SAT或ACT考試成績（80名左右以后學校不需要），GPA（高中平均成績），AP考試成績（大學預科考試，可選）)，學歷證書(Diplomas)，畢業證(Graduation Certificates)。

現在，越來越多的美國大學加入了Common Application，這為申請人提供了極大的方便。對于成為common application成員的學校，申請人可以直接通過common的網站邀請counselor和任課老師上傳推薦信，推薦人表格和成績單。一旦上傳成功，這幾份材料申請人就可以不用單獨再郵寄給學校了。對于不屬于common成員的學校和無法在線提交推薦信的學校，我們就只能采取郵寄的方式完成推薦信和推薦人表格了。

有關資金的材料，銀行存款證明，父母收入證明，擔保信（不申請獎學金的申請人提供），國際學生資金表格以及獎學金申請表格，因為美國大學要求申請人提供真實有效的信息，所以，必須通過快遞的方式向學校提供以上相關文件的原件。很多美國大學特別是文理學院比如Colgate University，對于申請獎學金的申請人不再要求郵寄四頁的International Student Financial Aid Application而是必須在線提交CSS PROFILE Application。對于有這樣強制要求的學校我們只能采取在線提交的方式，CSS注冊6美金，每提交一所是9美金。
