大學營救伊拉克學者行動
紐約市的The New School University 于昨天宣布成立New School InExile,一個為伊拉克學者提供一些物資和簽證的組織。The New School 于1933年起從納粹政府中救出了一個有名的猶太學者。
“進入二戰以來,學者們經受了一個比以往都要危險的劫難。”New School的校長Bob Kerry說道。“在今天的伊拉克,幾乎400名學者被長期流放,考古遺址被大肆破壞,地區的破壞程度創歷史新高。”
The New School將會為學者提供一些物資,加速簽證的辦理,為學者提供住宿。
