（趁著喜兒放面粉拿小板凳的空，楊白勞偷偷從懷里拿出一根紅頭繩）

喜：（驚喜）紅頭繩。

（喜兒搶紅頭繩）

第二幕

黃世仁、穆仁智出場，楊白勞、喜兒正幸福地在屋里包著餃子

（穆仁智拿出一本賬本，指著楊白勞的房子）

穆：少東家，這就是楊白勞的房子。

黃：恩，敲門?。?/p>

穆：（踢門敲門）楊白勞！楊白勞！

楊：（滿臉緊張）喜兒，快，快把面藏起來！

楊：（確認面藏好開門）少東家，您老人家怎么來了？

（看到盤子里剩余的一點面粉）老楊哪，小日子過得還挺滋潤嘛。面粉被你藏了，餃子也悄悄包了。

楊白勞，今兒個是大年三十了，咱的帳可不能再拖了。

楊：少東家，大雪封山十幾天，家里沒米沒柴，連鍋蓋都不能揭啊。

穆：我管你有米無米，有柴無柴，（拿出賬本擺在楊白勞眼前）你瞧瞧，去年欠五斗，今年又是五斗錢，五加五乘以五再乘以五，五五得一百二十五斗。

黃：嗯？

穆：哦，算錯了，是一千二百五十斗。

楊：（被喜兒攙扶著摔倒在地）?。?/p>

黃：（更加趾高氣揚）楊白勞，你莫犯愁，我指一條明路給你走。來來來，指著眉頭走，等這事一了解，咱的帳可就一筆勾銷了？

楊：（迎上）什么辦法？

黃：把你喜兒領來頂租子。

楊：（倒退幾步）?。?/p>

（穆仁智手朝后一揮，一群打手出現在楊白勞面前）

楊：（本能地向后退）啊？

楊：（看了一眼賣身契，然后甩頭）哼！
