各位領(lǐng)導(dǎo)、各位來(lái)賓，尊敬的各位校友，老師們、同學(xué)們： Distinguished leaders and guests, respected school fellows, teachers, students: 今天，我們歡聚江安河畔，隆重舉行慶祝四川大學(xué)建校110周年大會(huì)，共同見(jiàn)證四川大學(xué)110年的光榮歷史，共同領(lǐng)略這所世紀(jì)名校的厚重歷史與青春活力，共同祝福她更加美好而輝煌的明天。

On behalf of the 100 thousand faculties and students, I would like to extend our warm welcome to all leaders and guests presenting the meeting, express our greetings to our schoolfellows at home and abroad, and say sincere thanks to leaders, friends from various levels and fields, and international partners.作為四川大學(xué)校長(zhǎng)在這里致辭，對(duì)我來(lái)說(shuō)，既是一份崇高的榮譽(yù)，更意味著責(zé)任和使命。因此，今天我所表達(dá)的既是對(duì)四川大學(xué)厚重歷史的真情感悟，更是代表川大全體師生員工表達(dá)我們建設(shè)新川大、再創(chuàng)新輝煌的豪邁情懷。

It is an valuable honor as well as responsibility and mission for me to give a speech here as the president of Sichuan University.大學(xué)的生命在于大學(xué)精神。大學(xué)精神是大學(xué)活力常在、青春永駐的不竭源泉。翻開(kāi)川大歷史，處處都能感受到精神的魅力、理性的光芒。四川大學(xué)之所以能夠歷經(jīng)滄桑而走向輝煌，得益于她孕育了以“海納百川，有容乃大”和“嚴(yán)謹(jǐn)、勤奮、求是、創(chuàng)新”為核心的川大精神。

從1903-1909年胡峻校長(zhǎng)制定的“仰副國(guó)家，造就通才”，到1922-1924年吳玉章校長(zhǎng)提出的“崇尚學(xué)術(shù)，啟用新派”，從1926-1930年張瀾校長(zhǎng)倡導(dǎo)的“學(xué)術(shù)自由，兼容并包”，到1933-1946年張凌高校長(zhǎng)實(shí)行的“培養(yǎng)高尚品格，教授高深學(xué)術(shù)，造就專門人才，適應(yīng)社會(huì)需要”……在歷代川大老校長(zhǎng)們的精辟概括和深遂思考中，始終蘊(yùn)含著一個(gè)恒久不變、一脈相傳的價(jià)值取向，這就是涵乾納坤的宏大氣魄，追求真理的崇高境界，報(bào)效祖國(guó)的赤子情懷。這種價(jià)值取向，集中體現(xiàn)了川大人對(duì)科學(xué)的態(tài)度，對(duì)社會(huì)的責(zé)任和對(duì)理想的追求……今天，我們響亮地提出“崇尚學(xué)術(shù)，追求卓越”和“厚德博學(xué)，虛心從善”的理念和精神，正是對(duì)學(xué)校傳統(tǒng)精神的繼承和弘揚(yáng)。……

大學(xué)的天職在于人材培養(yǎng)。大學(xué)的價(jià)值要得到社會(huì)的認(rèn)可，就必須培養(yǎng)社會(huì)需要的人才，這是衡量大學(xué)對(duì)國(guó)家、對(duì)社會(huì)貢獻(xiàn)大小的重要尺度。四川大學(xué)是在教育救國(guó)的歷史背景下誕生的，輸入世界智識(shí)，創(chuàng)獲現(xiàn)代智慧，光大科學(xué)文明，培養(yǎng)杰出英才是四川大學(xué)始終不渝的理想和追求。在中國(guó)特別是西部地區(qū)高等教育發(fā)展史上，川大人書(shū)寫(xiě)了自己輝煌的篇章，創(chuàng)造了很多第一：在中國(guó)，1911年建立的華西協(xié)合牙科醫(yī)院，第一個(gè)開(kāi)創(chuàng)了現(xiàn)代口腔醫(yī)學(xué)及教育，成為中國(guó)現(xiàn)代口腔醫(yī)學(xué)的發(fā)源地；1936年開(kāi)始招收研究生，成為中國(guó)第一批培養(yǎng)研究生的大學(xué)之一；1953年，創(chuàng)建了全國(guó)第一個(gè)高分子專業(yè)；1992年，第一個(gè)在全國(guó)高校中獲得宗教學(xué)博士學(xué)位授權(quán)點(diǎn)……。在西南，川大于1906年第一個(gè)開(kāi)辦了現(xiàn)代體育教育，1910年第一個(gè)實(shí)施了現(xiàn)代通識(shí)教育，1910年第一個(gè)引進(jìn)外籍教師來(lái)校教學(xué)，1914年第一個(gè)設(shè)立了系統(tǒng)的英語(yǔ)課程……。110年來(lái)，川大先后匯聚了文學(xué)家李劼人、物理學(xué)家吳大猷、生物學(xué)家童第周、歷史學(xué)家顧頡剛、哲學(xué)家馮友蘭、美學(xué)家朱光潛、中國(guó)最杰出的植物學(xué)家方文培、中國(guó)公共衛(wèi)生之父陳志潛、中國(guó)近代數(shù)論的創(chuàng)始人柯召、中國(guó)高分子學(xué)科創(chuàng)建者徐僖等等大師巨匠，他們廣育英才，德渥群芳。歷史上，從川大校園走出來(lái)的朱德元帥，成為了共和國(guó)的開(kāi)國(guó)元?jiǎng)祝还簟徒鸪蔀榱宋膲藿常唤耋蕖⒚⒉懦蔀榱烁袆?dòng)中國(guó)、感動(dòng)世界的一代英烈；川大培養(yǎng)的第一位女博士樂(lè)以成，成為了中國(guó)現(xiàn)代婦產(chǎn)科學(xué)的開(kāi)拓者和先驅(qū)。在今天，畢業(yè)于我們校園的84級(jí)校友宋永華，在留英華人中第一個(gè)當(dāng)選為英國(guó)皇家工程院院士，并成為布魯奈爾大學(xué)副校長(zhǎng)。

尊敬的各位嘉賓，女士們、先生們：

大家好！

金秋的高唐，秋水與長(zhǎng)天一色，碩果共金風(fēng)搖枝。在這收獲的季節(jié)里，我和中國(guó)書(shū)協(xié)趙長(zhǎng)青主席，胡抗美、朱培爾理事以及我校藝術(shù)學(xué)院的呂金光教授，有幸來(lái)參加第五屆中國(guó)高唐書(shū)畫(huà)博覽會(huì)暨蘭亭獎(jiǎng)獲獎(jiǎng)名家作品邀請(qǐng)展。書(shū)畫(huà)博覽會(huì)不僅是高唐縣文化事業(yè)和文化產(chǎn)業(yè)發(fā)展進(jìn)程中的一件大事和喜事，也是我國(guó)書(shū)畫(huà)界的一件盛事。我謹(jǐn)代表四川大學(xué)和一同前來(lái)的同仁們向這次活動(dòng)表示熱烈的祝賀！高唐這個(gè)文化部命名的中國(guó)書(shū)畫(huà)藝術(shù)之鄉(xiāng)，名副其實(shí)。漢代魯相乙瑛，現(xiàn)當(dāng)代蜚聲畫(huà)壇的大寫(xiě)意花鳥(niǎo)畫(huà)大師李苦禪、著名山水畫(huà)家孫大石等都是高唐人，這得天獨(dú)厚的歷史書(shū)畫(huà)文化淵源，放眼國(guó)內(nèi)無(wú)一縣域具備如此豐厚、獨(dú)特的書(shū)畫(huà)文化優(yōu)勢(shì)。除了大師在藝壇的標(biāo)新立異、獨(dú)樹(shù)一幟，我還了解到高唐群眾性文化活動(dòng)也異常活躍，書(shū)畫(huà)藝術(shù)氛圍異常濃厚，有農(nóng)民書(shū)畫(huà)家3000之眾，全縣達(dá)到縣級(jí)展出水平的書(shū)畫(huà)作者近5000人，達(dá)到市級(jí)展出水平的510人，每年的展覽活動(dòng)多大30次，“人人愛(ài)潑墨，戶戶習(xí)丹青”，真為至言。高唐縣舉辦第五屆書(shū)畫(huà)博覽會(huì)，是進(jìn)一步弘揚(yáng)中華民族書(shū)畫(huà)藝術(shù)事業(yè)的一項(xiàng)重要活動(dòng)，象征著高唐縣文化繁榮，體現(xiàn)了中國(guó)書(shū)畫(huà)藝術(shù)在高唐的廣泛性和群眾 1

性。相信通過(guò)蘭亭獎(jiǎng)獲獎(jiǎng)名家作品邀請(qǐng)展等系列活動(dòng)的舉辦，對(duì)于弘揚(yáng)傳承李苦禪、孫大師等大師們的書(shū)畫(huà)藝術(shù)，打造“苦禪故里，書(shū)畫(huà)高唐”品牌是一個(gè)重要的平臺(tái)和載體。

中國(guó)書(shū)法蘭亭獎(jiǎng)是中宣部授予在書(shū)法藝術(shù)創(chuàng)作等領(lǐng)域有重大成就和突出貢獻(xiàn)的書(shū)法家、書(shū)法理論家、書(shū)法教育家和書(shū)法工作者的最高獎(jiǎng)項(xiàng)和最高榮譽(yù)。此次由我校藝術(shù)學(xué)院呂金光教授發(fā)起的這次蘭亭獎(jiǎng)獲獎(jiǎng)名家作品邀請(qǐng)展，應(yīng)該說(shuō)是中國(guó)書(shū)法界的一大盛事，因?yàn)檫@些書(shū)家們代表著當(dāng)今全國(guó)書(shū)法創(chuàng)作的水平，而且引領(lǐng)著書(shū)法創(chuàng)作的方向，這樣的展覽備受書(shū)法界的關(guān)注，影響力也必定是空前的。我相信，蘭亭獎(jiǎng)獲獎(jiǎng)名家邀請(qǐng)展在高唐的舉辦，必定能與美麗的書(shū)畫(huà)之鄉(xiāng)形成珠聯(lián)璧合、交映生輝的勝景。

Honored leaders, distinguished guests and alumni, dear teachers and students, Today, on the 110th anniversary of Sichuan University, we merrily gather here for witnessing her glorious past records, appreciating her sincere history and youth and vigor and wishing her better and brilliant future.On behalf of the hundred thousands of teachers, students and workers, I would like to extend my warm welcome to all the leaders and guests present here today, send my best wishes to alumni both at home and abroad, and express my heartfelt gratitude towards leaders at all levels, friends from all walks of life, and all of our international friends for your constant regard and support.Given a speech as the principal of SCU, it is not only a high honor for me, but also more means responsibility and mission.Therefore, I expressed my own truth inspiration for her long history and the heroic feelings of all the members of SCU for our construction of the new Sichuan University and recreation of the refulgence again.The life of the university is determined by the spirit of the university.It is also the origin of the university’s persistent vigor and youth.Reviewing the history of SCU, we can feel its spirit and rationality.The rising of SCU from vicissitudes to success attributes substantially to the SCU Spirit, the incorporative and eclectic nature and the university motto “Advocating Precision, Diligence, Truth and Innovation”.According to the former headmasters’ insightful summary and deep thinking, SCU always contains a constant and a direct line of succession value orientation.That is the grand verve of including all substances in the world, the lofty realm of pursuit of the truth and the feelings of serving our motherland.Such as: Hu Jun’s “Creating wealth and cultivating talents for the country” from 1903 to 1909;Wu Yuzhang’s “Advocating science, supporting new scholars” from 1922 to 1924;Zhang Lan’s “Thoughts freedom and all-inclusive” from 1926 to 1930;Zhang Linggao’s “Cultivating noble character, teaching advanced academic, bringing up specialized talents, matching social development’s needs” from 1933 to 1946.This kind of value orientation shows our attitude toward science and our pursuit of the social responsibility and dream.It also constitutes the spirit connotation and cultural essence of SCU from generation to generation.Nowadays, SCU puts forward the idea of “Advocating science, pursuit of excellence” and “Being virtuous and erudite, with an open mind from good”, also inherits and carries forward the traditional spirit of SCU.At this solemn moment of looking back at history and moving forward the future, I recall the passage which the State Councillor Chen Zhili has said in the third forum of the president of the university not long ago.She said: The university presidents should unswervingly guard university spirit so that university can influence and be a guide for society in innovation and service by its advanced thought and character and making “university” honor promote and have eternal glory.This speech makes me further comprehend, what SCU’s history has left us the most precious wealth is her spirit and culture.As the president, I not only have the responsibility to keep watch our spiritual home, but also spare no effort to go to carry forward our university spirit, and make both of SCU’s spirit and all Chinese university spirits be the lighthouse to lead the society’s development.The first duty of university is the cultivation of talent.If university wants to be approved by society, it has to cultivate the talent for matching the society’s needs.This is the important measure standard to judge university’s contribution for society.SCU was born with the historical background of saving nation by education, imputing world’s knowledge, creating modern wisdom, developing scientific culture and cultivating outstanding talent are the unswerving ideal and pursuit of SCU.In China’s high education history, especially the western area, SCU has written its glorious chapter and has created many first.In 1911, SCU established China’s western synergistic dental hospital, began China’s modern oral medicine and education and become the birthplace of China's modern oral medicine.In 1936, SCU began to enroll graduates and became one of the universities which firstly enroll graduates in China.In 1953, SCU created the first polymer professional and achieved the first doctor conferrable spot of science of religion among China’s universities in 1992.In the western area, SCU established the first modern physical education system in 1906, firstly implemented the modern general education in 1910 and introduced foreign teachers in the same year, founded English courses firstly in 1914, etc.During the 110 years, SCU successively gathered the writer Li Jieren, physicist Wu Daqiu, biologist Tong Dizhou, historian Gu Jiegang, philosopher Feng Youlan, aesthetician Zhu Guangqian, China's most distinguished botanist Fang Wenpei, public health originator Chen Zhiqian, the founder of the theory of number in modern China Ke Zhao and China’s polymer disciplines founder Xu Xi, etc.These became the pioneer of the Chinese modern obstetrics and gynecology.Today, alumni Song Yonghua who entered in SCU in 1984, was elected to be the first academician, among the Chinese who lives in the United Kingdom, of the Royal Academy of Engineering and became vice-chancellor of the Brunel University.In 2003, students of SCU won the international business management challenge(GMC)global champion.Only from 2003 to 2005, our students won national special prize 19, the first prize 32, the second prize 90 and the third prize almost 200 in the all kinds of national knowledge and science and technology competitions.Whether in the past or now, whether in the revolution, the construction or in the scientific and culture history, we can find the figure of the people of SCU, see the name of them and feel their loyalty and dedication to the country, the nation and the society.The motivation of universities’ development relies on reform, keeping pace with and bravely walking in the forefront of the times.The history of 110-years development of SCU is the record of its constant development, growing and creating glory during its reform.In 1994, the original Sichuan University and the original Chengdu University of Science and Technology caught the opportunity and took the “powerful combination” and opened the key of China’s university reform with the courage of “take the lead”.Then, in 2000, the new SCU combined with the original West China Medical University and achieved a much more strong unity.The twice combinations have provided abundant capital and solid foundation for universities’ high level comprehensive research.With this basis, we have opened a new page of SCU’s development for a very few years, by the condensed strength, the integration of resources, innovative thinking, the transformation of development way and the improvement of development state.On today’s special festive occasion, I would like to avail myself this opportunity to introduce the remarkable changes that’s taking place in SCU to all of you.Sichuan University has become one of the top-ranking China's universities with complete subjects, the largest scale and the best quality and benefit.The number of doctor conferrable spots for first level discipline from 12 in 2000 increased to now 27 and among the top-4 of national universities;doctoral program increased from 65 to 213, master degree program increased from 135 to 330 and ranking 6th and 3rd among the national universities respectively.All of these have realized the important index of increasing several times over for the discipline construction.At the same time, the teaching level and quality has obviously improved.In 2005, we attained two first prizes of the state level teaching achievement prize and nine second prizes, in the forefront of the university.SCU’s scientific research has made great-leap-forward development.From 2000 to 2005, during the five years, scientific research funds rose from 172 million yuan to 701.5 million yuan, nearly 5 times growth;the number of “State Three Awards” achievements increased from 3 to 15 and improved five levels;the number of science and technology and social science research achievements of ministerial or provincial level added from 36 to 401 with 10 times growth.And in the past three years, we have taken three “zero” breakthrough of the academician, the national key laboratory and the chief scientist of “973” project in the field of medicine domain.SCU’s faculty level has improved significantly.From 2000 to now, the number of the academicians increased from 5 to 9;Chang Jiang(Cheung Kong)Scholars increased from 6 to 16, and the gainers of the National Science Foundation for Distinguished Young Scholars of China increased from 9 to 30.Especially, in the past two years, during the construction of the second phase platform of “985 project”, we have introduced more than 30 outstanding young and middle-aged scientists, including three non-Chinese scientists, from MIT, Yale, Hopkins and other world class universities.So to speak, SCU ushered in another boom period with elites and talents coming out in succession.SCU’s international education has stepped on a new stage.We have established the communicative and cooperative relationship with 42 countries and regions and more than 130 universities or research institutions.Today, we will inaugurate three international scientific research cooperation platforms with the university of California, Arizona State University and Clausthal University of Germany.It not only offers a gift for the anniversary, but also marks the SCU has started to jointly promote the prosperity and development of the high education with the world famous universities hand in hand on a higher level and broader areas.Facing SCU’s 110-year hard struggle, we can proudly say that whether in the past or now, Sichuan University always has not lived up to the era’s looking forward, nation’s hope and people's great trust.For the future, SCU will be better to serve the people and the nation with greater achievements.The honor of SCU should be attributed to the party, the country and the correct leadership of the Party Central Committee and the state council.The Party Central Committee's “joint construction, adjustment, cooperation, merger” policy leads the reform and development of SCU.SCU’s achievements also fully demonstrate the success and glory of China's contemporary high education system reform.We will never forget the five times visits of comrade Li Lanqing, his effort, wisdom for SCU’s combination reform, name determination and the closing of 93 road and his reflected grand verve.We will never forget the impressive night on November, 3rd, 1997.On that night, Secretary of the Party Committee of the State Education Commission, Chen Zhili comrade visited the campus deeply.We also will never forget her guidance and spur, and her six times visits.The honor of SCU should be attributed to the Party Committee of SEC, the leadership and support of Sichuan Province and Chengdu.They have visited and inspected SCU for many times and fully implemented many concrete measures for “both development of the province and the city”, to ensure the policy environment and guaranteed equipment and the provided great support for the development of SCU.The honor of SCU should be attributed to all previous leaders of SCU and all teachers and student.Today’s accumulated valuable spiritual wealth and solid material foundation came from the all previous leaders’ hard struggle and exploration practice.Today’s success came from the hard work, strive and dedication of our teachers and students.The honor of SCU should be attributed to all alumni at home and abroad.The brand of the university is forged and cast by all alumni.When you are devoted to the construction of the society, take your pursuit of the life and career or do your ordinary works, all alumni constantly promote SCU’s spirit, honor SCU and inject vigor and vitality to your mother school.It will always feel infinite glory and pride for you.The honor of SCU should be attributed to all sectors of the society which concern and support us.Today's world is an open world.University only can achieve more developmental opportunities through the interaction with the society.In reverse, only with the understanding and support of the society, we can get wider development space.SCU’s development and success cannot do without the trust, concern and support of all better future.In 1930s, the principal of SCU put forward: Not only making SCU become the best university in China, but also let it be the most famous and complete university in the world.If we regarded it as a dream at that time, now, we have the basis for letting it come true through the hard-working of generations, especially, the hard-working after the two combinations.On behalf of the faculty and students, I’d like to take a solemn oath on this historical occasion: under the leadership of CPC chaired by President Hu, and under the guidance of Deng Xiaoping Theories and Three Representatives, SCU would continue to practice the scientific concept of development, adhere to the conception of “Scientific development, key progress, nurturing talents and anticipating society” 同學(xué)們，四年來(lái)，你們不僅在學(xué)業(yè)和思想上取得了長(zhǎng)足進(jìn)步，更共同見(jiàn)證了四川大學(xué)辦學(xué)歷史上最好、最快的發(fā)展時(shí)期之一。2006年以來(lái)、特別是去年以來(lái)，學(xué)校堅(jiān)持以科學(xué)發(fā)展觀為指導(dǎo)，牢牢把握國(guó)家制定出臺(tái)《中長(zhǎng)期教育改革和發(fā)展規(guī)劃綱要》的重大機(jī)遇，制訂并啟動(dòng)了指導(dǎo)學(xué)校未來(lái)5-10年發(fā)展的《四川大學(xué)發(fā)展戰(zhàn)略行動(dòng)計(jì)劃》，重點(diǎn)圍繞提高人才培養(yǎng)質(zhì)量，實(shí)施了一系列教育教學(xué)改革創(chuàng)新舉措，構(gòu)建完善了“三大類”創(chuàng)新人才培養(yǎng)體系，啟動(dòng)了“雙特生”選拔培養(yǎng)，實(shí)施了“兩階段”、“三大類課程體系”創(chuàng)新人才培養(yǎng)過(guò)程改革和本科畢業(yè)論文“高質(zhì)量、多樣化”改革等舉措，真正形成了具有川大特色的教育質(zhì)量觀、教育公平觀、教育多樣觀和全面發(fā)展教育觀。在此基礎(chǔ)上，率先在全國(guó)高校中系統(tǒng)提出了確立“全面發(fā)展”的人才培養(yǎng)理念、實(shí)施“全員育人”的人才培養(yǎng)機(jī)制、健全“全方位服務(wù)”育人管理體系。同時(shí)，學(xué)校全面推進(jìn)人才培養(yǎng)、學(xué)科建設(shè)、師資隊(duì)伍建設(shè)、科學(xué)研究等各項(xiàng)事業(yè)發(fā)展，并取得了一系列新的可喜成績(jī)：在你們大學(xué)的四年中，學(xué)校的國(guó)家重點(diǎn)實(shí)驗(yàn)室和工程中心從6個(gè)增加到10個(gè)；院士從9人增加到13人；新增國(guó)家“千人計(jì)劃”特聘專家18人；學(xué)校科研總經(jīng)費(fèi)從7.5億元增加到12.1億元；新增國(guó)家科技三大獎(jiǎng)6項(xiàng)。

特別是在本科教育教學(xué)方面，2006年以來(lái)，我校國(guó)家精品課程增加了3門，總數(shù)達(dá)到28門；國(guó)家教學(xué)名師從5名增加到10名，國(guó)家教學(xué)成果獎(jiǎng)增加8項(xiàng)，總數(shù)達(dá)到25項(xiàng)；成為全國(guó)首批“基礎(chǔ)學(xué)科拔尖學(xué)生培養(yǎng)試驗(yàn)計(jì)劃”及“卓越工程師培養(yǎng)計(jì)劃”試點(diǎn)高校。此外，各類學(xué)生獲獎(jiǎng)數(shù)從643項(xiàng)增加到1434項(xiàng)，特別是在第六屆“挑戰(zhàn)杯”競(jìng)賽中，我校學(xué)子獲得金獎(jiǎng)2項(xiàng)、銀獎(jiǎng)1項(xiàng)，金獎(jiǎng)數(shù)和獲獎(jiǎng)數(shù)均居全國(guó)第一。同學(xué)們，這些成績(jī)，是你們勤奮學(xué)習(xí)、勇創(chuàng)佳績(jī)的體現(xiàn)，也是老師們辛勤培育的成果，更是學(xué)校發(fā)展的歷史畫(huà)卷中光輝奪目的篇章。在此，我謹(jǐn)代表學(xué)校黨委和行政向?yàn)閷W(xué)校發(fā)展做出了貢獻(xiàn)的同學(xué)和老師們?cè)俅伪硎局孕牡母兄x！

在這春光明媚的季節(jié)里，我非常高興能夠來(lái)到這里，出席上海交通大學(xué)建校110周年慶祝大會(huì)。首先，請(qǐng)?jiān)试S我代表清華大學(xué)及各兄弟高校，對(duì)走過(guò)了110年光輝歷程、即將掀開(kāi)新篇章的上海交通大學(xué)，表示最熱烈的祝賀！對(duì)交大全體師生員工和海內(nèi)外廣大校友們，表示衷心的問(wèn)候和誠(chéng)摯的祝福！

上海交通大學(xué)是中國(guó)歷史最為悠久的大學(xué)之一，是我們國(guó)家培養(yǎng)高級(jí)專門人才和發(fā)展科學(xué)技術(shù)的重要基地。在跨越三個(gè)世紀(jì)的歷史進(jìn)程中，交通大學(xué)歷經(jīng)滄桑，從“實(shí)業(yè)救國(guó)”、“人才強(qiáng)國(guó)”，一代代交大人秉承“飲水思源，愛(ài)國(guó)榮校”的校訓(xùn)，弘揚(yáng)“起點(diǎn)高、基礎(chǔ)厚、要求嚴(yán)、重實(shí)踐、求創(chuàng)新”的辦學(xué)傳統(tǒng)，心系社稷，興學(xué)安邦，服務(wù)國(guó)家，耕耘不止，為國(guó)家和民族做出了重要的貢獻(xiàn)。改革開(kāi)放二十多年來(lái)，尤其是近十年來(lái)，上海交大敢為人先，勇于超越，在管理體制改革、創(chuàng)新人才培養(yǎng)和國(guó)際化辦學(xué)等方面進(jìn)行了許多大膽探索，創(chuàng)造了不少寶貴經(jīng)驗(yàn)，百年老校煥發(fā)出勃勃生機(jī)，在建設(shè)一流大學(xué)的進(jìn)程中不斷取得新的成就。

上海交通大學(xué)和清華大學(xué)先后創(chuàng)立于19世紀(jì)末20世紀(jì)初，兩校有著相近的學(xué)科設(shè)置與辦學(xué)理念。我們都承載著民族的重托、社會(huì)的期望，在各自的辦學(xué)實(shí)踐中，為國(guó)家培養(yǎng)了一批學(xué)術(shù)大師、治國(guó)之士和興業(yè)之才。被譽(yù)為“人民科學(xué)家”的錢學(xué)森大師，就是交大和清華共同的校友。畢業(yè)于上海交大的著名科學(xué)家、工程教育家張光斗院士，一直在清華大學(xué)任教。近年來(lái)，我們兩所學(xué)校進(jìn)一步加強(qiáng)了相互往來(lái)，在教育教學(xué)、科研開(kāi)發(fā)、隊(duì)伍建設(shè)等方面開(kāi)展了多種形式的交流與合作。在國(guó)家的大力支持下，繼往開(kāi)來(lái)，勇攀高峰，建設(shè)世界一流大學(xué)，為中華民族的偉大復(fù)興而奮斗，是我們共同承擔(dān)的光榮歷史使命。
