戰國中期，有個諸侯國蜀國，相當富強，但是蜀侯卻非常昏庸且貪財。秦惠王知道后，為了吞并蜀國，就鑄了一只“金牛”派人送給蜀侯，揚言這只“金牛”能日產千金，但是它太龐大，加上蜀國邊境險峻，所以運不來。蜀侯信以為真，馬上鏟高山，填深谷，迎“金牛”。豈料，大批秦國軍隊緊跟其后，不消半天，蜀國被滅。若不是蜀侯貪小利，又怎么會落得如此下場？我們也要從中吸取教訓：切勿因小失大！

9月4日，韓國外交通商部長官柳明桓表示對女兒“特招”事件引起的爭議負責，決定辭去外長一職。
