瑞秋決定不了該穿哪件衣服。

羅斯發(fā)火了，瑞秋干脆說(shuō)不去了……

作為道歉，羅斯答應(yīng)瑞秋喝一杯油。

303 果醬

喬伊在床上蹦蹦跳跳時(shí)把手摔到脫臼。

莫妮卡想寄情于工作，忘卻里查德。

她做了很多果醬，喬伊很喜歡吃。

之后，她決定到精子捐獻(xiàn)機(jī)構(gòu)去挑選精子來(lái)生一個(gè)孩子，結(jié)果她帶回的檔案居然是喬伊的。

菲比被馬爾科姆（后來(lái)成了戲外莫妮卡的老公哦！）跟蹤，此人將她當(dāng)做了她姐姐烏蘇拉……其后兩人約會(huì)。錢德向瑞秋和羅斯取經(jīng)，如果擁有美滿的男女關(guān)系。

羅斯偷偷傳授他“抱一抱，滾一邊”的絕招。

喬伊出演牛奶蓋2000年廣告。

菲比忘了告訴喬伊有電話找他試鏡……

為了彌補(bǔ)自己的過(guò)失，菲比冒充喬伊的經(jīng)紀(jì)人給導(dǎo)演打電話。

她的表現(xiàn)如此出色，喬伊請(qǐng)她全權(quán)代理自己的演出事務(wù)。

羅斯的兒子本喜歡玩芭比娃娃，羅斯實(shí)在難以接受。

他力圖使本喜歡玩更具陽(yáng)剛之氣的游戲。

錢德懼怕對(duì)女人許下承諾，喬伊說(shuō)服他正視自己的恐懼……

但錢德冒冒失失提出同居，倒把珍妮絲嚇得落荒而逃。

305 菲比的弟弟小福蘭克

喬伊動(dòng)工做一個(gè)郵箱，工程越搞越大，結(jié)果他做了個(gè)娛樂(lè)多用柜。

同時(shí)他還不小心把錢德的門鋸成了兩半。

之后他又號(hào)稱要把莫妮卡浴室的地磚重新鋪一遍，不過(guò)舊地磚粘太牢了，于是半途而廢。

菲比和來(lái)紐約的弟弟小福蘭克相處了幾天，以便加深彼此的的了解。

當(dāng)她告訴弟弟說(shuō)她的職業(yè)是“按摩師什么的”時(shí)，小福蘭克大大的誤解了。

大伙討論，如果你可以和五個(gè)名人睡覺，你會(huì)選哪五個(gè)人呢？

喬伊和錢德為場(chǎng)邊的荷蘭女孩爭(zhēng)風(fēng)吃醋，結(jié)果竹籃打水一場(chǎng)空；

瑞秋技術(shù)差，兩邊都不要她。

310 瑞秋辭職

加瑟再次訓(xùn)練瑞秋，如何當(dāng)好女侍應(yīng)；

瑞秋決心辭職。

羅斯在樓梯上連比帶劃跟錢德解釋什么的時(shí)候，不小心把路過(guò)的小女孩碰到，女孩順著樓梯摔下去，腿傷了。

為了幫助她實(shí)現(xiàn)參加太空營(yíng)的夢(mèng)想，羅斯接替她參加童子軍的慈善義賣，挨家挨戶去推銷餅干。莫妮卡童年時(shí)愛吃餅干的習(xí)慣故態(tài)復(fù)萌。

喬伊找到新工作，銷售圣誕樹。

菲比認(rèn)為砍掉樹當(dāng)圣誕樹賣是相當(dāng)殘忍的事，喬伊辯解說(shuō)圣誕樹生來(lái)就是為了過(guò)節(jié)時(shí)給前家萬(wàn)戶帶去歡樂(lè)，菲比妥協(xié)，繼而向人們推銷老樹。

311 錢德想不起勾搭了喬伊的哪個(gè)妹妹

喬伊用撲克玩魔術(shù)，把大家都驚呆了，因?yàn)樗募夹g(shù)實(shí)在是太——濫——了，并且還自鳴得意。錢德因?yàn)楹驼淠萁z分手而情緒低落，在喬伊的生日派對(duì)上，和喬伊的一個(gè)妹妹亂搞；

不過(guò)一夜情之后，他竟然不記得是哪個(gè)妹妹了；

他拜訪了崔比昂尼家，希望能從喬伊的七個(gè)妹妹中辯認(rèn)出來(lái)，結(jié)果他親錯(cuò)了人，事情鬧得不可收拾。瑞秋在咖啡館邂逅馬克，馬克介紹她到高檔商場(chǎng)Bloomingdale's公司面試；

羅斯懷疑馬克的動(dòng)機(jī)。

菲比和樓上的常發(fā)出噪音的男人約會(huì)，此人和菲比約會(huì)后轉(zhuǎn)身就和別的女人上床，喬伊等三男上樓找他理論，結(jié)果被他制服。

312 嫉妒

瑞秋在新公司上班第一天；

羅斯繼續(xù)嫉妒馬克。

錢德為他的表親舉辦了一個(gè)單身漢派對(duì)。

喬伊參加百老匯音樂(lè)劇的試鏡，他壓根不會(huì)跳舞卻在簡(jiǎn)歷上吹得天花亂墜。

加瑟渴望瑞秋。

莫妮卡愛上了愛寫詩(shī)的同事朱力歐；

朱力歐為莫妮卡做詩(shī)，詩(shī)中將莫妮卡比作沒(méi)腦子的花瓶，而莫妮卡并未領(lǐng)會(huì)弦外之音。事后莫妮卡請(qǐng)了四人演唱組將朱力歐羞辱了一番。

羅斯在單身派對(duì)上有艷遇，瑞秋嫉妒了。

313 莫妮卡和里查德只做朋友

莫妮卡和里查德在錄影帶租賃店巧遇，他們決定像朋友一樣相處——但事與愿違。

菲比和運(yùn)動(dòng)員羅伯特約會(huì)，羅伯特著裝大大咧咧，經(jīng)常暴露重要部位而不自知；

羅斯和錢德極尷尬，而不知如何提醒他。

喬伊和瑞秋交換最愛的書閱讀，一本《閃靈》，一本《小婦人》。

314 菲比的舊搭檔

菲比以前唱歌時(shí)候的搭檔蕾絲麗來(lái)中央咖啡廳表演，并懇求菲比重組樂(lè)隊(duì)。

菲比打算同她言歸于好，可蕾絲麗把臭臭貓賣作推銷貓食的廣告歌，菲比又同她翻臉。

錢德在男廁碰見一個(gè)叫金吉爾的姑娘并要求同她交往；

金吉爾碰巧又是喬伊的舊愛——當(dāng)年的喬伊發(fā)現(xiàn)她的義肢后感覺無(wú)法接受所以不再同她約會(huì)。錢德認(rèn)為有義肢沒(méi)什么了不起，但金吉爾發(fā)現(xiàn)錢德有第三個(gè)乳頭后毅然甩了他。

羅斯繼續(xù)同瑞秋的新工作以及馬克奮戰(zhàn)。

錢德去做手術(shù)，割除了第三個(gè)乳頭。

315 羅斯和瑞秋分手

菲比和一個(gè)不會(huì)講英文的外交官約會(huì)。

她說(shuō)服莫妮卡同去，這樣翻譯才不會(huì)落單。錢德和喬伊迷上了搞復(fù)印的女孩，女孩邀他二人同去跳舞。羅斯在瑞秋加班趕工的時(shí)候到辦公室不合時(shí)機(jī)的制造浪漫，結(jié)果兩人大吵一架。

瑞秋要求兩個(gè)人冷靜一下。

316 次日清晨

317 滑雪之旅

羅斯和瑞秋的決裂，導(dǎo)致其他人只能分別同兩人相處。

兩人的分手還讓錢德傷感不已，因?yàn)樗肫鹆烁改傅碾x異。錢德戒煙再次失敗。

瑞秋邀請(qǐng)除羅斯外所有人周末去滑雪；

中途休息時(shí)，他們被關(guān)在車外。

瑞秋拒絕打電話給羅斯求助，于是莫妮卡和菲比只得背著她這么干；

羅斯找卡蘿借車，去救助他的朋友們；結(jié)果自己卻因?yàn)殡姵赜霉舛焕ё　?/p>

318 催眠錄音帶

瑞秋給錢德一卷催眠錄音帶，幫助他戒煙；

可是這卷帶子是專為女性設(shè)計(jì)的，而且它確實(shí)具有神奇的效果……

菲比的弟弟宣布要和他的經(jīng)濟(jì)學(xué)老師結(jié)婚，老師可比他年長(zhǎng)一大截呢；

菲比想拆散他們，向羅斯和喬伊求助。

莫妮卡被來(lái)餐廳吃飯的顧客約會(huì)，此人竟然是一個(gè)百萬(wàn)富翁；

those around him into a dangerous scene.Dickens portrays the French Revolution simplistically, but powerfully, as a case of downtrodden peasants exacting a harsh revenge against an uncaring aristocratic, even feudal, system.The Defarge's, a wine merchant and his wife, represent the interests of the lower classes, clouded by hatred after generations of misuse.Darnay, affiliated by birth with the French aristocracy, is torn between sympathy for his native country in its suffering, and his desire to be free of his past.ance and plot, much like the works of Sir Walter Scott, wherein the characters themselves assert less agency, finding themselves forced to deal with the tide of epic events.Richard Maxwell's introduction to this newest Penguin edition does a good job outlining the themes of doubling and literary influence that Dickens works with.One specific influence I discerned in reading “A Tale” that Maxwell doesn't metion is Edmund Burke's “Reflections on the Revolution in France,” which if nothing else, gives the feeling that the rampant violence of the early revolution and the later Reign of Terror has brought about an irreversible change in human nature.While Dickens remains cautiously optimistic throughout the novel that France can recover, the tone of the novel speaks to the regression of humanity into a more feral, primal state, rather than advertise any real hope

for its enlightened progress.Despite the supposed dichotomy between England and France in the novel, Dickens seems to suggest throughout that there are no real differences, due to the way that human nature is consistently portrayed.With England in between two revolutions, American and French, Lucie's sensitivity early in the novel to hearing the “echoing” footsteps of unseen multitudes indicates a palpable fear that the “idyllic” or “pastoral” England he tries to portray is not exempt from the social discontent of America or France.In this light, stolid English characters like Miss Pross, Jerry Cruncher, and Jarvis Lorry appear to almost overcompensate in their loyalty to British royalty.In a novel that deals with death, religion, mental illness, I could go on and on for a week, but I won't.One of those novels whose famous first and last lines are fixed in the minds of people

who've never even read it, “A Tale of Two Cities” demands to be read and admired.Wuthering Heights

off.Another reviewer said that those of us who love this novel probably have a strong identification with one of the characters, and for me that is quite true.That's the reason for reading a classic like Wuthering Heights, because when it speaks to you in the clear and true way that Bronte does, you know that you are not alone, and that

some things transcend time and place.Think about it--a prim, Victorian preacher's daughter living on the moors of England before there was electricity can reach across 150 years of time and speak

to the heart of a wired American in the 21st century.Pretty amazing.
