(一)一般句式的構成：A + is / are+ 形容詞比較級+ than + B

A 是主格B 是賓格

（二）英語形容詞比較級的構成

英語形容詞比較等級有三個：原級，比較級和最高級。

形容詞比較等級形式變化有規則的和不規則的兩種。

規則變化：

1）單音節詞末尾加-er（比較級），-est（最高級）

【例】 原級 比較級 最高級

great greater greatest

clean cleaner cleanest 2）單音節如以e結尾，只加-r（比較級），-st（最高級）

【例】fine finer finest

nice nicer nicest

wide wider widest 3）閉音節單音節詞如末尾只有一個輔音字母，須先雙寫這個輔音字母，再加-er（比較級），-est（最高級）

red redder reddest 4）少數以-y，-er，ow，-ble結尾的雙音節詞，末尾加-er（比較級），-est（最高級）。以-y結尾的詞，如-y前是輔音字母，則變y為-i，再加-er和-est。以-e結尾的詞只加-r和-st。

★基數詞變序數詞口訣

英語中基數詞變為序數詞時，一般在基數詞后加詞尾-th，但有幾個詞變化特殊，只要記住下面這個口訣，這些問題即可迎刃而解。一、二、三，單獨記；八去t，九除e，ve要用f替，整十基數變序數，先把ty變成tie；要是遇到兩位數，十位基數個位序，th最后加上去。

解析口訣：one→first，two→second，three→third這三個詞變化特殊，要單獨記；eight→eighth，nine→ninth，八去t，九去e后再加-th；five→fifth，twelve→twelfth，五、十二把ve換成f再加-th；twenty→twentieth，thirty→thirtieth...整十先把詞尾y改為ie再加-th。兩位數時則十位數用基數詞，個位數用序數詞，如：twenty-first。

①雙方比較，表示一方超過另一方時，用“比較級十 than”的結構表示． 例如： This pen is better than that one.②表示一方不及另一方時，用“ less十原級十 than”的結構表示．例如： This room is less beautiful than that one．

③表示一方超過另一方的程度或數量時，可在比較前加表示程度的狀語，如：even，a lot，a bit，a little，still，much，far，yet，by far等修飾． 例如：He works even harder than before．

注意：英語的比較級前如無 even，still，或 yet等時，譯成漢語時可用“較”或“??一些”或不譯出，一般不可用“更”，如： She is better than she was yesterday．她比昨天好些了． Please come earlier tomorrow． 請明天早點來． 注意：by far通常用于強調最高級．用于比較級時，一般放在比較級的后面，如在前面，應在二者中間加“ the”．如 He is taller by far than his brother He is by far the taller of the two brothers.④表示一方隨另一方的程度而變化時，用“ the 十比較級(主語十謂語)，the 十比 較級(主語十謂語)”的結構．

例如： The harder he works，the happier he feels．

⑤不與其它事物相比,表示本身程度的改變時，用“比較級十 and十比較級”的結構．如： The weather is getting colder and colder.The girl becomes more and more beautiful．

⑥某些以一or結尾的形容詞進行比較時，用 to代替 than．(這些詞有inferior，superior，junior，senior，prior等．例如：

He is superior to Mr Wang in mathematics．

⑦在比較從句中為了避免重復，我們通常用 that(those)，one(ones)代替前面出現的名詞。that指物，one既可指人，也可指物．that可代替可數名詞單數和不可數名詞，而one只能代替可數名詞.例如：

The book on the table is more interesting than that on the desk.A box made of iron is stronger than one made of wood． ⑧表示倍數的比較級有如下幾種句型：

一、原因分析：

1、英語中形容詞的比較等級這一用法與漢語語言習慣有著很大不同，因而學生在理解和使用上會存在一些障礙。

2、英語形容詞比較級有著很多靈活多變的使用方法，學生初次接觸這一語法，需要老師進行必要的指導。

二、采取措施：

1、從形容詞原級的用法開始引入比較級的用法。

2、使用多媒體等教學手段，給學生創造交際環境。

3、采用小組、同桌、師生之間的多種交流、討論的形式，進行對話練習，學習、理解并正確使用該語法。

三、教學設計：
