To whom it may concern,I am writing this letter of recommendation for **, my former student.As the supervisor of Dept.of ******, I have known Mr.Qi for nearly 4 years since his freshman year at Sichuan University.Additionally, he took the course--“******”, which I taught mainly for junior students in his major.To my surprise, I found he was among the few students in his class who could keep up with the pace of my lectures.As you can see, he got a good score in the course.The more I knew about him, the more I found he was talented at physics.Mr.Qi is the most active students in my class.He likes discussing with teachers and classmates by which, in his opinion, he can have a well understanding in the course.His impressively clear head and considerable powers of independent criticism showed in these discussions made him distinctive from other students.Most importantly I highly evaluate his physics intuition and persistence to questions.One simple example is that once I talked about three ways of β decay, he gave an immediate question that why can't nucleus capture of positron occur.I said that before positrons can get into the inner shell of atoms, they will annihilate with electrons.He then asked what will happen if a beam of positrons pass through dense ionized tritium gas? Can atom of tritium decay into that of helium with only one neutron?
