縱觀英國大學個人陳述所涉及的話題，可以歸類為如下幾類：

活動、經歷(activity/experiences)

動機(motivation)

教育背景(educational experiences)

而對于絕大多數(shù)中國申請人來說，由于中國教育系統(tǒng)所造成的局限性，比較適合中國申請人的話題一般是“接觸的人”、“個人興趣”、“活動經歷”。

而具體到每一個申請人來說，文書中最經常提到的內容包括“父母”“藝術類活動經歷”，課外活動雖然也是常用話題之一，但由于申請人所參加活動一般都屬于統(tǒng)一組織的、具有高度集中特性的活動，例如奧運會志愿者、模擬聯(lián)合國等等，從個性化角度講不能夠完全反應申請人的特性。學校要求申請人提供文書材料，初衷還是想了解學生是什么樣的人。

盡管目前很多國內申請人為了上名校而一味地追求所謂的精英意識，在文書中夸大個人經歷。但是對于絕大多數(shù)英國大學而言，學校最希望看到的還是學生能夠通過大學階段的學習，成為一個真正的人，能夠對社會有所貢獻的人，而不是一群能夠講大話的畢業(yè)生。

那么怎樣交出一份亮眼的課外活動盤點清單才能吸引他們的關注呢?僅僅去參加活動還是不夠的，小編這就告訴你如何才能讓你的課外經歷看上去更加誘人!

避免僅僅只是參與活動：

很多的學生認為他們只要證明他們參與一堆興趣小組俱樂部，和一些志愿者活動就能幫助他們被英國大學錄取。事實上并非如此!請記住：每個人都參與活動當中，當然參加得多比沒有活動好，其實每個人都參與了很多活動。

但是，并不是所有人都是在活動中成為專家、大師或領袖，并不是所有人都真正對參與的活動熱情滿腔。因此，千萬別陷入僅僅為了活動而做活動的怪圈，別抱著參與機器人活動就可以幫助你被大學錄取的想法去做相關的活動。相反，利用課外活動去發(fā)現(xiàn)自己的興趣和熱情所在更加重要。

對自己誠實：

一旦你為自己的未來理想埋下種子，你需要同時開始清除雜草。你應該專注于兩三個活動并不是要做十個活動。除非你有無盡的能量和時間，做十個活動也許可以證明你的努力。在兩到三個活動中擔任較長時間的領導組織者，可以反映活動的真實性和你的個性特點。

當然，進行多方面的探索和嘗試沒有什么不對，但是這樣并不能體現(xiàn)你對活動真正的全身心投入，即所謂的熱情和真正參與。

關于課外活動，我們需要記住的是課外活動都是放在學校的背景之下進行評估的。如果你的學校根本沒有生物機械工程小組，你的申請不會因為你的活動背景沒有生物機械小組而減分。一位名校招生官曾談到：課外活動都是放在學生所處的環(huán)境中來進行考量。

如果你的高中只有200名學生，這樣的學校不可能有50個俱樂部讓你進行選擇。如果你是家里六個孩子中排行老大，你不得不幫忙做家務，那么你是不可能有時間成為6個俱樂部的頭兒。所有成功的申請人都是在某個課外活動領域證明了自己，而選擇確定這個活動領域取決于你。

熱情引領職業(yè)方向：
