心得體會(huì)

為期一周的函電實(shí)習(xí)很快就結(jié)束了,在這短短的一周時(shí)間里我覺(jué)得學(xué)到了很多。在實(shí)習(xí)前很怕處理各種外貿(mào)信函,不知道該如何組織和使用各種優(yōu)美、恰當(dāng)?shù)挠⑽脑~句來(lái)很好地完成一篇英文信函,信函中的一些語(yǔ)言明明是我們?cè)谏钪谐3=佑|到的,但是就是不知道怎樣把它們翻譯成比較恰當(dāng)或優(yōu)美的英文,比如我們常常接觸到“物美價(jià)廉”這個(gè)詞語(yǔ),在學(xué)習(xí)《外貿(mào)英語(yǔ)函電》這門(mén)課程之前我就曾把它翻譯成“The goods is perfect and the price is cheap”,雖然這樣寫(xiě)好像也沒(méi)錯(cuò)但是這個(gè)句子就顯得很普通缺乏文采,如果把它改成“The goods are both excellent in quality and reasonable in price”這樣這個(gè)句子就顯得很不一樣,看起來(lái)既專(zhuān)業(yè)又優(yōu)美。我覺(jué)得在信函中應(yīng)用一些比較優(yōu)美很恰當(dāng)?shù)木渥邮呛苤匾模绻浅醮谓㈥P(guān)系會(huì)給別人一個(gè)比較好的第一印象,會(huì)讓對(duì)方覺(jué)得你專(zhuān)業(yè)、有內(nèi)涵,也讓對(duì)方更加相相信你方的實(shí)力。

在這次實(shí)習(xí)中遇到不少問(wèn)題,首先是對(duì)課本知識(shí)掌握得不夠,在寫(xiě)信函的過(guò)程中很難寫(xiě)出一個(gè)比較好的句子,所以只好參照課本的句式和一些比較好的專(zhuān)業(yè)詞句。其次,因?yàn)樗械男藕际怯糜⑽膶?xiě)的,跟以前的實(shí)習(xí)有很大的不同,所以一開(kāi)始速度有點(diǎn)慢,尤其是第一天只寫(xiě)了三四篇。這次實(shí)習(xí)對(duì)我們的英文水平也是一個(gè)很大的考驗(yàn),如果英文水平比較高的話,寫(xiě)信函的時(shí)候就會(huì)覺(jué)得比較容易。這次實(shí)習(xí)也是對(duì)外貿(mào)專(zhuān)業(yè)知識(shí)的掌握情況的一個(gè)檢驗(yàn)。然后是這次實(shí)習(xí)的時(shí)間顯得有點(diǎn)緊迫,可能是我的速度太慢了導(dǎo)致直到實(shí)習(xí)結(jié)束我的任務(wù)還沒(méi)做完,只好周末加班把它補(bǔ)做完。通過(guò)這次實(shí)習(xí)發(fā)現(xiàn)自身的專(zhuān)業(yè)知識(shí)掌握得不夠和英語(yǔ)水平也需要加快提高。最后就是有一些細(xì)節(jié)問(wèn)題需要多加注意,外貿(mào)信函跟我們平時(shí)寫(xiě)的中文信件之間是有差別的,中文信件只有一種布局,而外貿(mào)信件有多種布局比如有縮行式、齊頭式等等,寫(xiě)信件的時(shí)候要特別注意不要把各種信件布局混淆。還有要注意組織好信函的句式,選擇比較好的詞句,盡量使對(duì)方在閱讀你的信件時(shí)能感到愉悅,給對(duì)方留個(gè)好印象。同時(shí)要明確指出你方來(lái)函的目的,要把關(guān)鍵內(nèi)容表述清楚。

在這一周的時(shí)間里,我掌握了更多書(shū)寫(xiě)英文信函的技巧,學(xué)到很多適合運(yùn)用到外貿(mào)信函中的英文詞句以及一些外貿(mào)專(zhuān)業(yè)術(shù)語(yǔ)。以前雖然也有學(xué)過(guò)很多外貿(mào)專(zhuān)業(yè)術(shù)語(yǔ)但是大多數(shù)都是中文學(xué)習(xí),即使是英文學(xué)習(xí)要求也沒(méi)這么高,不需要整篇完整地寫(xiě)下來(lái),比如交易時(shí)的保險(xiǎn)條款,以前只需要掌握保險(xiǎn)條款的基本條款,現(xiàn)在就要求組織成完整的英

文句子、段落寫(xiě)出一篇英文函電。不過(guò)勞有所得,通過(guò)一周不斷練習(xí),現(xiàn)在寫(xiě)外貿(mào)信函就容易多了并且能應(yīng)用更多更好的詞句來(lái)寫(xiě)出一篇比較好的外貿(mào)信函。

要寫(xiě)出一篇好的外貿(mào)函電,需要多方面的積累,比如外貿(mào)專(zhuān)業(yè)知識(shí)的掌握程度、英語(yǔ)水平的高低、語(yǔ)言組織能力的高低等等。所以還有很多知識(shí)、技能等著我去學(xué)習(xí)。

二、要求及時(shí)供貨

We understand that you are the agent for the White Tiger ties.We enclose our order for 1000 dozens of the White Tiger ties.please note that we need these goods rather urgently as Christmas is drawing near.If you could supply goods timely for seasons, we would make repeated orders, provided prices are reasonable.payment for the enclosed order will be made on a draft at sight under our letter of credit opened in your favor on receipt of your confirmation that the goods are sent out, and can be delivered before 1, December, 2000.獲悉貴公司為“白虎牌領(lǐng)帶”的代理商。茲附上1000打白虎牌領(lǐng)帶訂單一份。

請(qǐng)注意,由于圣誕節(jié)在即,本公司急需這批貨物。如果貴公司能夠及時(shí)供應(yīng)時(shí)令貨品,而且價(jià)格公道,我方將繼續(xù)訂貨。

此票訂單之貨款,待確認(rèn)貴方已于2000年12月1日前發(fā)貨之后,本公司即向貴公司開(kāi)出見(jiàn)票即付的信用證。

三、回復(fù)詢盤(pán)告知無(wú)貨

Referring to your letter of 5 June, we very much regret that we are unable to make you an offer for the goods you demand.The reason is that the product you need has been out of stock.What's more our manufacturers have declined orders because of shortage of raw materials.We shall, however, file your inquiry and cable you our offers as soon as we have got supplies.我方收到貴公司6月5日來(lái)函,但非常遺憾,我方無(wú)法對(duì)貴方所需產(chǎn)品報(bào)盤(pán)。其原因是,此貨品在我處已經(jīng)脫銷(xiāo)。而且,由于原料短缺,生產(chǎn)廠家已經(jīng)拒絕了我方訂單。

四、如何追問(wèn)買(mǎi)方意見(jiàn)

In reply to your inquiry we sent you on May 25 a copy of illustrated catalog of our electric products.As we have not heard from you since, we would like to ask whether you have had received our reply and what opinion you have on our products.We are always ready to serve you and should be grateful for your reply.在5月25日我方對(duì)貴方詢函的回函中,已寄去本公司電器產(chǎn)品的附圖目錄。因迄今尚未接到貴方的消息,特致函詢問(wèn),貴方是否已收到我方回函,并征求貴方對(duì)本公司產(chǎn)品的意見(jiàn)。我方隨時(shí)愿意效勞,若承蒙貴方惠賜回函,當(dāng)不勝感激。

五、如何詢問(wèn)參展條件

From yesterday's Morning paper we have learned that you are now taking applications from exhibitors for the 2000 Canton Fair.We hope you would send us a copy of detailed conditions for application, such as size of each booth, fees for rent, and time schedule for moving in, etc., as well as the time limit for application.從昨天《晨報(bào)》上獲悉,貴單位正在征集“2000年廣交會(huì)”的參展申請(qǐng)。希望貴方能將展位大孝租用展位價(jià)格、進(jìn)場(chǎng)時(shí)間、最遲申請(qǐng)日期等詳細(xì)情況通知我方。

六、如何索要產(chǎn)品目錄

We get your name and address from your local Chamber of Commerce.We are an importer of plastic products and we would appreciate it if you would send us your catalogue in the new year.我方從貴公司的商會(huì)獲知你們的名稱與地址。

七、按樣品詢價(jià)

37.We now have pleasure in sending you an order for the Chinese fabrics as per the particulars enclosed.Kindly note that the goods are to be delivered in exact accordance with the samples.If this first trial order turns out satisfactory and of good value,an increasing business may result.依照隨函附上的詳細(xì)項(xiàng)目,我們向貴公司訂購(gòu)中國(guó)面料。請(qǐng)注意,貨物必須與樣品完全相符。如果第一份試購(gòu)單令人滿意,我們將繼續(xù)大量訂購(gòu)。

38.We thank you for order of August 2 for 5,000 yards cotton piece goods but regret that we are unable to execute the order from stock,owing to the heavy demand recently for these fabrics.Our suppliers have,however,undertaken to replenish our stock within seven days and we trust that it will not be inconvenient for you to allow us this extension.感謝貴公司8月2日的訂單,購(gòu)買(mǎi)5,000碼棉布,但是,由于最近要求此種面料的訂單過(guò)多,本公司不能從現(xiàn)貨中供應(yīng)。然而我們的廠商已經(jīng)答應(yīng),7天之內(nèi)即可補(bǔ)充貨物。本公司相信,即使貴公司答應(yīng)寬容期限,也不會(huì)導(dǎo)致任何不便。

39.It has been our usual practice to do business with payment by D/P at sight instead of by L/C.We should,therefore,like you to accept D/P terms for this transaction and fir future ones.我們通常的做法是憑即期付款交單而不用信用證。因此,我們希望你對(duì)這筆交易和今后的交易均接受付款交單方式。

thrd 42.We are both surprised and disappointed not to have heard from you in answer to our two letters of 10 an 23March reminding you of the balance of US$1,256 still owing on our statement of 28 February.This failure either to clear your account or even to offer an explanation is all the more disappointing because of our past satisfactory dealings over many years.貴公司未回復(fù)我方10日及23日兩次的催款函件。我方深感驚訝及遺憾。款項(xiàng)金額為1,256美元,應(yīng)與上月28日結(jié)清。我們過(guò)去交往很令人滿意。對(duì)于貴公司現(xiàn)今仍未能付款或提出接受實(shí)感失望。

44.As you have failed to established in time the L/C but covering our Ssles Confirmation NO.1022,we have to rescind this sales confirmation and hold you responsible for all the losses arising therefrom.由于你方?jīng)]有及時(shí)開(kāi)立有關(guān)第1022號(hào)售貨確認(rèn)書(shū)的信用證,我們不得不撤銷(xiāo)這份確認(rèn)書(shū),并要你方承擔(dān)由此而產(chǎn)生的一切損失。45.We wish to point out that the goods under our S/C NO.112 have been ready for shipment for a long time.we have been waiting for the arrival of your L.C but regretfully no L/C has been received by us nor have we heard anything from you in this respect,Please let us know upon receipt of this letter whether you have any difficulties in opening the L/C.我們想指出,我方第112號(hào)售貨確認(rèn)書(shū)項(xiàng)下的貨物備妥待運(yùn)已久,我們一直在等待你方的信用證,可是很遺憾,我們既沒(méi)有收到該信用證也沒(méi)有從你處聽(tīng)到有關(guān)這方面的任何信息。請(qǐng)見(jiàn)信后即告你方在開(kāi)立信用證上究竟有何困難。

46.As clearly stipulated in the Sales Contract NO.A-1044,the commission for this transaction is 3%,but we find you L/C NO.GF-124demands a commission of 5%,which is obviously not in line with the contract stipulations.Therefore,please amend the L/C to read “commission3%”.按售貨合同A-1044的規(guī)定,此次交易的傭金為3%,但我方發(fā)現(xiàn)你方開(kāi)立的信用證GF-124傭金為5%,這顯然與合同規(guī)定不符。所以,請(qǐng)將信用證改為“傭金3%”。

47.Please see to it that the above-mentioned goods are shipped before 12 October and insured against All Risks for 150% of the invoice value.We know that according to your usual practice,you insure the goods only for 10% over the invoice value,therefor,the extra premium will be borne by us.請(qǐng)注意上述貨物必須在10月12 日前裝運(yùn),并按發(fā)盤(pán)金額150%投一切險(xiǎn)。我們知道按慣例,你們只按發(fā)票金額110%投保,因此額外保險(xiǎn)費(fèi)將由我們負(fù)擔(dān)。

48.An insurance claim should be submitted to the insurance company or its agent as promptly as possible so as to provide the insurance company or its agent ample time to purse recovery from the relative party at fault.有關(guān)保險(xiǎn)的索賠案件應(yīng)盡快提交保險(xiǎn)公司或其代理商,以便他們有足夠的時(shí)間去向造成過(guò)錯(cuò)的有關(guān)方面進(jìn)行追償。49.Breakage is a special risk, for which an extra premium will have to be charged.破碎險(xiǎn)是一種特殊險(xiǎn)別,須額外收費(fèi)。

50.If the goods,after arrival at the port of destination,are to be delivered immediately to an inland city or other port,we may cover the inland insurance on your behalf and debit your account with the additional premium.如貨物在到達(dá)目的地港后需立即轉(zhuǎn)運(yùn)至內(nèi)陸城市或其他港口,我們可以代你方投保內(nèi)陸險(xiǎn),額外保險(xiǎn)費(fèi)將記你方賬上。

51.The premium varies with the extent of insurance.Should the goods be insured against additional risks,the extra premium should be borne by the buyer.保險(xiǎn)費(fèi)隨保險(xiǎn)范圍而不同,如果貨物需要投保附加險(xiǎn),額外的費(fèi)用由買(mǎi)方支付。

52.A proposal form is enclosed as requested,and pleased fill out and then return it by the end of this month,otherwise that may make it difficult to issue the policy in time.根據(jù)你方的請(qǐng)求,茲附上一份投保單,請(qǐng)?zhí)顚?xiě)后于本月底之前寄回,否則會(huì)使我們難于及時(shí)發(fā)出保險(xiǎn)單。

53.Should any damage be incurred you may approach the insurance agents at your end and submit an insurance claim supported by a survey report.如果貨物發(fā)生損壞,你方可憑檢驗(yàn)報(bào)告與你所處的報(bào)銷(xiāo)代理聯(lián)系并提出報(bào)銷(xiāo)索賠。

54.Since you have obtained a survey from a reputable surveyor,we would recommend you to contact the People's Insurance Company of China and ?settlement.既然你們已經(jīng)從一個(gè)有聲譽(yù)的鑒定人那里獲得檢驗(yàn)報(bào)告,我們建議你們與中國(guó)人民保險(xiǎn)公司聯(lián)系,直接與他們商定解決辦法。
