如何保護地球

人類為了生存所進行的資源及能源的開發和利用是完全必要的，但是所有開發和利用都應當從整個自然界，尤其是地球環境的生態系統，即所謂生物圈的平衡狀況加以全面地和科學地考慮，然后再在保護自然環境、維持生態多樣性的基礎上，達到人和自然之間的協調。

當前，不但要加強和擴大那些具有原始性狀，即受人類影響較少的生態系統，通過人為的保護和再建、使其維持原始的自然面貌，保持生態系統內部各要素的平衡，而且要重視人類在認識化學物質毒性問題上所取得的寶貴經驗。對于各種比學物質，從生產到廢棄的整個過程，都要考慮一個防止污染環境的安全措施，更應當尋求無污染的生產方法，制取無毒性的化學產品，顯然，這是給化學工作者提出的一個更高、更難的任務。
