音標與單詞
音標的學習是枯燥的,所以在平時的教學過程中,要將音標的教學與單詞的教學結合在一起,這樣既可以避免一味的學習音標所產生的枯燥感,也可以讓學生音型結合,更好地學習單詞。但是如何正確的處理好兩者的關系,做到單詞音標兩不誤。在我實習的過程中,我發現在教學中,應盡量做到以下兩點:
(一)音形結合,掌握規律
教會學生音標的認讀及拼讀之后,應注意培養學生按照讀音規則,把單詞的音、形、義聯系起來迅速反應的能力。每次教新詞時,不僅要會發音、會拼讀,還要與舊詞聯系,進行一些歸類性的訓練。如有位老師教單詞thank時,先讓學生回憶th發[θ]的單詞,如出示卡片 讓學生讀讀,再與th發[e]的一組卡片 作比較。學生們不僅漸漸地知道p發[p],b發[b],m[m],h[h],還知道sh發[?]th發[e]或[θ],ch[t?],ng[?],kn [n],ght[t],ow [o]/[au],ea[i:]/[e]等,用這樣的方法,能培養學生自覺地把單詞、音標作音、形比較,直至掌握一些規律,逐步學會聽音知形、見形知音的本領。這樣的訓練,也能培養學生速記單詞的能力。
(二)嚴格要求,常抓不懈
教師在教學中要做到持之以恒,嚴格要求學生。不斷正音,不讓語音退化。當然,嚴格要求,及時糾音,也應和適當寬容相結合,因為每個人的接受能力不同,而且語音學習是需要一個過程的,不可能一下就學得十分標準。起初時,應允許把一點“錯誤”逐步標準化。我在教學中經常注意在復習環節中安插一點時間操練音素,防止回生。平時檢查讀書、背書時也十分重視學生的發音。如學生往往容易把short發成[?ɑrt] 短音;[?]與[ɑ]不分,a red flag,發成[red fleg]。由于方言的干擾,學生常把[?]發成[au],把[J]發成[z]等,這就要靠教師經常訓練,不斷提醒,并及時表揚發音好的學生,形成正確發音的風氣。在課文中所出現的連讀,我也利用音標提示學生,如an English teacher用 引導學生連讀。還有不完全爆破,如a black cat用括號提示學生發正確[bl ?(k)k ? t]。句子的語調、會話、朗讀的感情,都做到嚴格要求,一絲不茍,學生在這種訓練下,語音才會越來越好。孩子們掌握國際音標后,不僅能順利準確地給單詞標注音標或根據音標讀準單詞,而且熟練運用后,在聽到讀音或能說出、想起讀音的情況下,就能準確寫出該詞的拼寫形式,并能夠準確讀出單詞。教學中,教師在引導學生自己找規律識讀、識記單詞后,學生學習英語的自主精神得到了培養,為他們主動積極地投入到英語學習中奠定了堅定的基礎,更好地維持了他們學習英語的興趣,調動了他們學習英語的積極性。
如果不教音標,不教給學生正確記憶單詞的方法,只讓學生跟著老師反復讀記,那么學生記單詞的效率會比較低下,而且會很容易遺忘。但是,如果學生正確掌握了音標,掌握了發音規則,就可以自己學會拼讀生詞,也可以根據讀音規則拼寫出新的單詞。這對學生記憶單詞有著重要的作用,能掃除了學生學習英語的巨大障礙,能激發學生學習英語的興趣,能提高學生學英語的效率。
