有朋友問(wèn)我，英文much to live for應(yīng)該如何理解呢？

我將之理解為“生命的追求”。這也是我的首篇背誦名篇的題名。后在網(wǎng)上看到有人寫(xiě)了一篇短文，后半部分非常完美地引用了該文，故惠存于空間日志之中。

朋友又問(wèn)，其實(shí)背誦英文名篇到底又有何用處呢？

怎么說(shuō)呢，我認(rèn)為背誦英文名篇和背誦古文名篇應(yīng)該有異曲同工之妙吧，自然是有很多好處的。首先精典名篇通常都是后人經(jīng)過(guò)精心挑選出來(lái)的，無(wú)論是篇中文筆還是名家思想的意境自然都無(wú)以倫比、為世人所傾，輕輕慢讀之際，既有如流動(dòng)音符般的異國(guó)語(yǔ)言的美感，背誦的同時(shí)也是一個(gè)極佳的學(xué)習(xí)的過(guò)程。其次是名篇中不乏一些精彩的人生感悟或?qū)θ松谰暗募?xì)致描寫(xiě)，值得自己深切體會(huì)。三是名篇中存在大量極佳的對(duì)偶句、平行句、排比句、對(duì)比句、虛擬句，通過(guò)學(xué)習(xí)，對(duì)自己的英文寫(xiě)作水平也會(huì)有很大提升。四是通過(guò)原汁原味（而非譯文）的閱讀，還可以幫助你對(duì)不同國(guó)度、不同時(shí)代背景的作家有更深入的了解，更能深切感受作者寫(xiě)作時(shí)的浪漫主義情懷以及深刻的哲學(xué)思想。當(dāng)然，還有一點(diǎn)是比較重要的，就是背誦的同時(shí)還可以幫助你打發(fā)一些無(wú)聊的時(shí)光，不至于讓你整晚都顯得無(wú)所事事、不學(xué)無(wú)術(shù)、游手好閑。嘿嘿！而且還可以幫助我放松老大、老二對(duì)我學(xué)習(xí)方面的念叨和監(jiān)管，讓我可以從小忙中偷得半生閑，看看小說(shuō)，跑跑小步，會(huì)會(huì)朋友，游山玩水。大理想??！

朋友再問(wèn)又該如何背誦英文名篇呢？還真是不恥下問(wèn)了呀。但這個(gè)問(wèn)題卻問(wèn)得很好。

其實(shí)我也沒(méi)什么特別的方法，如果是遇到生詞，那么我會(huì)先根據(jù)它的發(fā)音規(guī)則試試發(fā)音和猜測(cè)詞義，然后再查詞典并進(jìn)行糾正，然后就有了第一次的印象；其次是做好筆記，把生詞、發(fā)音以及詞義抄下來(lái)，然后就有了第二次的印象；三是朗讀，多讀幾遍，甚至幾十遍，讀到順口為止，此時(shí)便有了第三次的印象；四是整句進(jìn)行默寫(xiě)，通過(guò)全句來(lái)帶動(dòng)對(duì)生詞的理解，然后你便有了第四次的印象。

如果此時(shí)你遇到了一個(gè)完全沒(méi)有規(guī)則或者根本無(wú)法望詞生義的特難生詞，我還有一個(gè)很笨卻很有用的方法幫助你記住它。那就是你把這個(gè)詞大聲讀上100遍，連讀邊寫(xiě)，也是100遍，這個(gè)單詞就算再長(zhǎng)你都能記住它。不過(guò)，我這里說(shuō)的100遍，并不是一個(gè)比喻詞，而是一個(gè)真實(shí)的數(shù)字。邊讀邊劃“正”字也是我以前讀書(shū)時(shí)的一個(gè)笨笨方法，當(dāng)你劃滿(mǎn)20個(gè)正字時(shí)，就代表你已經(jīng)讀到100遍了。如果還沒(méi)效果，你還可以再念100遍！

這個(gè)方法有沒(méi)有用 此女果然沒(méi)什么遠(yuǎn)試試就知道了，但對(duì)我卻是百試百靈的。所以可見(jiàn)，古人說(shuō)勤能補(bǔ)掘，這句話(huà)其實(shí)是很有道理的。

剛才說(shuō)的是生詞的記憶。那么對(duì)通常短文又該如何記憶呢。我有一個(gè)比較有意思的背誦時(shí)間，那就是我比較喜歡在洗澡前開(kāi)始背誦短文，這樣就可以在沖入洗澡房后邊洗邊背了，而且通常是隨著流水的聲音非常歡快地大聲背誦，就如同平時(shí)在澡房大聲唱歌一樣，越背越起勁，越背越興奮。遇到想不起來(lái)的句子時(shí)還會(huì)自言自語(yǔ)罵自己幾句，再狠狠地搓幾下衣服，晃晃腦袋，果然又能再想起幾句來(lái)。洗完澡洗完衣服，通常短文都背了好幾遍了。這樣下來(lái)背誦也成了一件頗為好玩的事了。這個(gè)方法同樣適用于背誦古文或長(zhǎng)篇詩(shī)歌。我以前就是靠這個(gè)方法背下了長(zhǎng)恨歌和三字經(jīng)的，甚至有時(shí)也僅僅是因?yàn)楸持猛?。不過(guò)這個(gè)方法只適合背一些比較有美感的短文，要是背其它就沒(méi)用了，比如政治、歷史、地理什么的。我以前歷史和政治就特別差，每次一背書(shū)就頭暈?zāi)X漲、昏昏欲睡的，所以一上歷史就看愛(ài)情小說(shuō)。

呵呵，扯遠(yuǎn)了。這只是我個(gè)人的一些學(xué)習(xí)方法吧，有心者可估且一試。
