早就想提筆寫寫自己這些年出國(guó)讀書(shū)的心路歷程,可是又覺(jué)得不知何處說(shuō)起,也不知道自己為何那時(shí)堅(jiān)持要出國(guó),是隨大流眼看身邊同學(xué)都出國(guó)自己也不甘落后?亦或是為了在家人親戚面前展示自己飛得更遠(yuǎn)的能力?自己有時(shí)候也說(shuō)不清楚其實(shí)。

直到有一天在帝都見(jiàn)到表姐夫,飯桌上他問(wèn)我:出國(guó)留學(xué)你收獲了什么?那一刻我的腦子懵了竟然無(wú)言以對(duì),是啊,出國(guó)留學(xué),我究竟學(xué)到了什么呢?這個(gè)問(wèn)題我竟然從未仔細(xì)琢磨過(guò),也許大多數(shù)出國(guó)留學(xué)的莘莘學(xué)子們也都沒(méi)有真正想清楚自己為什么要出國(guó),就像錢鐘書(shū)先生的圍城一樣,很多人只是覺(jué)得在城內(nèi)呆久了想到城外逛逛,出去后才發(fā)覺(jué)也不過(guò)如此,但是畢竟更大一部分人還沒(méi)有資格發(fā)出“不過(guò)如此”這種感嘆吧。

剛到美帝時(shí),我會(huì)不知覺(jué)地努力將自己夾帶有大蒙古濃重口音的英語(yǔ)說(shuō)得更美式份兒,而且語(yǔ)速莫名地加快以顯示自己流利的程度,在與同學(xué)尤其是印度同學(xué)討論問(wèn)題時(shí)即使沒(méi)有完全聽(tīng)懂對(duì)方說(shuō)什么,自己也會(huì)頻頻點(diǎn)頭假裝很懂的樣子,那時(shí)候自己的內(nèi)心其實(shí)是自卑和膽怯的,身邊的同學(xué)不是清華,就是北大,再不就是中科大的,談?wù)摽蒲性掝}時(shí),深怕一個(gè)來(lái)自草原姑娘的無(wú)知會(huì)被大家看穿。但有一點(diǎn)自己很清楚,那就是要全力以赴去努力以縮小這種差距。

兩年,最熱門的教育話題,非“微課”“翻轉(zhuǎn)課堂”莫屬。可汗學(xué)院、慕課等在線學(xué)習(xí)模式的興起與發(fā)展,在給學(xué)校教育帶來(lái)機(jī)遇和挑戰(zhàn)的同時(shí),也在促進(jìn)學(xué)校教育者不斷思考,如何借助新興的信息技術(shù)成果,發(fā)展和創(chuàng)新師生的教學(xué)理念和學(xué)習(xí)理念,推進(jìn)課堂過(guò)程中學(xué)習(xí)方式、教學(xué)方式的變革。

前不久,在成都市棕北教育集團(tuán)第19屆教育教學(xué)研討會(huì)上,來(lái)自北京、深圳的專家,成都市區(qū)教育局、教科院以及兄弟學(xué)校的教育同行們共聚一堂,以“信息技術(shù)環(huán)境下學(xué)與教方式的變革——微課的研究與實(shí)踐”為主題,探討微課如何改變傳統(tǒng)學(xué)教方式,以及發(fā)展微課過(guò)程中的得與失。

激發(fā)自主性 翻轉(zhuǎn)學(xué)生角色

“讓我們來(lái)看看同學(xué)們的網(wǎng)上任務(wù)完成得怎么樣。”在成都市棕北中學(xué)西區(qū)實(shí)驗(yàn)學(xué)校,來(lái)自北京四中的陳靜老師給初二學(xué)生上了一堂英語(yǔ)語(yǔ)法課。與傳統(tǒng)課堂不同的是,課本不見(jiàn)了,老師與學(xué)生人手一個(gè)平板電腦,學(xué)生做題、老師答疑均以此為載體。

“完成任務(wù)作了反饋的學(xué)生,給你們加上一顆星。”檢查完學(xué)生的課前作業(yè),陳靜以此鼓勵(lì)學(xué)生積極提出問(wèn)題。隨后,陳靜對(duì)學(xué)生提出的問(wèn)題進(jìn)行解答,對(duì)重難點(diǎn)進(jìn)行講解,要求學(xué)生完成相應(yīng)的課堂練習(xí),以檢測(cè)學(xué)生學(xué)習(xí)的成效。由于學(xué)生學(xué)習(xí)程度的差異性,部分學(xué)生可以通過(guò)學(xué)習(xí)老師事先準(zhǔn)備好的微課,及時(shí)回顧相關(guān)知識(shí)或概念。

“還有4個(gè)同學(xué)沒(méi)有作答,抓緊時(shí)間。”陳靜一邊用手中的平板電腦查看學(xué)生答題情況,一邊督促學(xué)生加快答題速度。教學(xué)平臺(tái)對(duì)每道題的正確率作出客觀的統(tǒng)計(jì)和分析,哪些學(xué)生做對(duì)了,哪些學(xué)生做錯(cuò)了,都有客觀的結(jié)果反饋給老師。根據(jù)反饋情況,陳靜分別請(qǐng)做出不同選擇的學(xué)生回答,歸納共性問(wèn)題,學(xué)生也可分組討論。隨后,陳靜選用了幾個(gè)卡通人物,給出單詞,讓學(xué)生運(yùn)用這堂課學(xué)到的語(yǔ)法知識(shí)造句,學(xué)生之間、師生之間都進(jìn)行了良好的互動(dòng)與合作。

展示與評(píng)價(jià)、合作與探究、應(yīng)用與拓展、總結(jié)與評(píng)價(jià)成為翻轉(zhuǎn)課堂的主要方式。課堂上,由學(xué)生的問(wèn)題貫穿始終,教師不再是講臺(tái)上的圣人,而是身邊的導(dǎo)師,而學(xué)生則成為課堂的主角。

“在這堂課上,我們能充分感受到學(xué)生的主體性和教師的引導(dǎo)作用,學(xué)生在教師組織的各種活動(dòng)中有探究、有合作、有匯報(bào)、有展示,均體現(xiàn)出了自主性和積極性。”北京四中教研院張雷老師說(shuō),新課標(biāo)所倡導(dǎo)的教與學(xué)的理念在這堂課中有很好的落實(shí)和體現(xiàn)。

先學(xué)后教 翻轉(zhuǎn)教學(xué)模式

傳統(tǒng)教學(xué)模式是老師在課堂上講課,布置作業(yè),讓學(xué)生回家練習(xí)。而在翻轉(zhuǎn)課堂教學(xué)模式下,學(xué)生在家完成知識(shí)學(xué)習(xí),課堂變成老師和學(xué)生之間、學(xué)生與學(xué)生之間互動(dòng)的場(chǎng)所。

“在傳統(tǒng)課堂上,學(xué)生獲取知識(shí)的主要途徑是在課堂,教師以講授為主,內(nèi)化知識(shí)主要在課后的習(xí)題,學(xué)生遇到問(wèn)題沒(méi)有很好的途徑去解決。”張雷說(shuō),而翻轉(zhuǎn)課堂恰恰相反,學(xué)生獲取知識(shí)主要在課前,學(xué)生帶著問(wèn)題來(lái)上課,課堂上與老師和同學(xué)交流探討,找到解決問(wèn)題的方法和策略,將知識(shí)進(jìn)一步內(nèi)化和拓展,真正提高學(xué)生的學(xué)習(xí)能力。

“運(yùn)用信息技術(shù),在上課前,老師就可以了解學(xué)生的自主學(xué)習(xí)是否完成,完成效果怎樣,共性是什么,個(gè)性化的問(wèn)題是什么。然后根據(jù)學(xué)生的記錄和反饋,進(jìn)行二次備課。”張雷以陳靜的英語(yǔ)課為例指出,通過(guò)課前學(xué)習(xí),大多數(shù)學(xué)生對(duì)相應(yīng)的語(yǔ)法規(guī)則已經(jīng)掌握,這給老師節(jié)約出更多的時(shí)間去訓(xùn)練學(xué)生的運(yùn)用能力,課堂效率更高。

翻轉(zhuǎn)課堂,老師首先要制作5—10分鐘的微課,設(shè)計(jì)要短小精悍、生動(dòng)形象。相對(duì)于傳統(tǒng)課堂要完成的眾多教學(xué)內(nèi)容,微課的內(nèi)容更加精煉,能讓學(xué)生更加精確地定位問(wèn)題所在,也有助于提升學(xué)生學(xué)習(xí)的專注度。

“微課嘗試是追求自主高效學(xué)習(xí)。”棕北中學(xué)校長(zhǎng)丁世明表示,微課網(wǎng)絡(luò)化、時(shí)空多元化、主題化、自主、靈活性強(qiáng)的特點(diǎn),與課堂集體學(xué)習(xí)任務(wù)驅(qū)動(dòng)、控制性強(qiáng)的特點(diǎn)相整合,形成互補(bǔ)性優(yōu)勢(shì)。目前,學(xué)校每位教師均普及了微課制作,個(gè)別教師利用班級(jí)QQ群和微信群,把自己制作的微課與學(xué)生家長(zhǎng)共享。

原點(diǎn)是教學(xué)而非技術(shù)

研討會(huì)上,參會(huì)者可以參觀棕北中學(xué)老師制作的不同形式的微課案例。有老師認(rèn)為,微課不僅是一種新的課堂表現(xiàn)形式,更是一種新的課程資源形態(tài)。但也有老師提出,翻轉(zhuǎn)課堂、微課都是在追求一種新概念,很多展示課例一味追求錄制視頻在線共享,忽視課堂本身,變成另一種形式的孤立學(xué)習(xí)。

“常言道,我們既要埋頭拉車,更要學(xué)會(huì)抬頭看路。”丁世明認(rèn)為,微課發(fā)展至今,很有必要回到原點(diǎn)。微課的原點(diǎn)是教學(xué)而非技術(shù)。如今,隨著信息技術(shù)的普及,課件制作已不是難點(diǎn),而廣受中小學(xué)教師喜愛(ài)的錄屏軟件在操作性上也非常簡(jiǎn)單,且功能強(qiáng)大。另外,隨著智能手機(jī)的普及,常規(guī)視頻拍攝工具也進(jìn)入尋常百姓家,這也為教師制作微課提供了幫助。

丁世明表示,制作微課的技術(shù)問(wèn)題容易解決,現(xiàn)在急需關(guān)注的是微課的創(chuàng)新設(shè)計(jì)和教師在微課中展現(xiàn)的教學(xué)水平,這些才是微課最有價(jià)值、最具挑戰(zhàn)的地方,也是微課最吸引學(xué)習(xí)者的地方。棕北教育集團(tuán)的李琳老師也表示,面對(duì)技術(shù)的不斷更新,與其拒絕,不如好好想想怎樣更好地傳承與適應(yīng),更好的發(fā)展與普及,最重要的還是回到課堂與教學(xué)本身。

多數(shù)學(xué)校都要求申請(qǐng)人提交兩封到三封的推薦信,由教授、系主任或工作主管直接寄給指定的單位。

一、選擇推薦人 推薦信是了解申請(qǐng)人的重要依據(jù),在研究生課程中尤其如此。申請(qǐng)人可以選擇現(xiàn)在或以前的老師、教授或雇主。推薦人必須熟悉學(xué)生的學(xué)習(xí)情況,了解學(xué)生的學(xué)習(xí)目的是否明確,在學(xué)術(shù)上是否有前途,以及學(xué)生的適應(yīng)能力、創(chuàng)造能力、品行和特長(zhǎng)。

書(shū)寫推薦信的最理想的人選是一封由系主任寫,一封由專業(yè)課教授寫,一封由自己的導(dǎo)師寫。不過(guò),對(duì)方若無(wú)規(guī)定,則除了自己的親屬之外,任何人皆可為推薦人。推薦人一般應(yīng)具備高級(jí)技術(shù)職稱,如教授、副教授、研究員、副研究員等。如果推薦人在國(guó)內(nèi)外學(xué)術(shù)界享有盛譽(yù),或者被申請(qǐng)就讀學(xué)校聘為客座教授,或者曾經(jīng)在該校講過(guò)學(xué),那么這樣的推薦人寫的推薦信就具有很強(qiáng)的效力了。

二、推薦信的內(nèi)容

推薦信一般應(yīng)包括下列內(nèi)容:

被推薦人的基本情況介紹。側(cè)重于個(gè)人的畢業(yè)時(shí)間、學(xué)校、所獲學(xué)位以及個(gè)人的專業(yè)經(jīng)歷。

推薦人對(duì)被推薦人的基本評(píng)價(jià)。側(cè)重于被推薦人的專業(yè)基礎(chǔ)、個(gè)性、特點(diǎn)、工作態(tài)度和在學(xué)術(shù)上的前途估計(jì)。若是推薦研究生,推薦人還需進(jìn)一步說(shuō)明其深造學(xué)習(xí)的基礎(chǔ)和當(dāng)前所具備的研究能力。顯然,恰如其分地評(píng)價(jià)被推薦人的基礎(chǔ)、能力和前途,比言過(guò)其實(shí)的贊譽(yù)更令人情服,更具有實(shí)際意義。

推薦人可以著重介紹被推薦人曾經(jīng)獲得的獎(jiǎng)勵(lì),發(fā)表過(guò)的論文,參加過(guò)的重要學(xué)術(shù)會(huì)議,以及曾在學(xué)生組織或?qū)W術(shù)團(tuán)體中的任職等來(lái)支持自己的評(píng)價(jià)。

推薦人還必須清楚地表明被推薦人留學(xué)的身份是研究生還是訪問(wèn)學(xué)者,專業(yè)領(lǐng)域和研究方向是什么。如果大學(xué)提供了現(xiàn)成的推薦表格,則必須按這類表格認(rèn)真逐項(xiàng)填寫。推薦表格中一般有學(xué)生綜合評(píng)估的一項(xiàng),即要求推薦人說(shuō)明該生在所教的學(xué)生中應(yīng)列為前5%,10%,或25%等。這種評(píng)估是指教授的個(gè)人評(píng)價(jià),可以稍高一點(diǎn)。另外,推薦表格上常有許多難以填寫的項(xiàng)目,遇到這種情形可填i dont know,亦不致對(duì)該生的評(píng)價(jià)有何嚴(yán)重影響。
