So many people underestimate the power and importance of a smile，that simple little facial expression characterized by an upward curving of the corners of the mouth.

A smile has many meanings: pleasure，friendliness，welcome，amusement，and many more; and it is part of a universal body language that doesn’t need any extra interpretation.

Plus a smile，with all its simplcity and beauty，can be a very important factor in many aspects of our lives:

You fall in love with a new country you visit because its people greet you with a welcoming smile everywhere you go; other countries you just don’t like even though they might have more history，nature，entertainment and whatnot because their people don’t seem so friendly or accepting.

You feel like buying from a certain store when the vendor welcomes you in with a smile，sometimes even if you wouldn’t intially have bought anything; and in other stores，even though they have exactly what you need or better，you decide to walk away because the vendor doesn’t look welcoming at all.

You want to give a waiter a good tip when he serves you with a smile，even if the food turns out not that good; on the other hand，sometimes you’ll have some of the best food ever，but you won’t feel like giving the waiter a tip，even if you do，because he was grumpy.

More and more examples from our everyday life show how much a simple smile can change everything.

Forever engraved in my mind will be the smiling faces of the people of Thailand，the friendly pizza delivery boy，the welcoming supermarket vendor，the nice cashier at the bank，…etc.

It is these smiles that keep me wanting to go back，and that keep us all wanting to go back; looking at it from another view，if we break it down using business sense，a smile is one of the most effective means to generate sales and develop customer loyalty.

On top of all that，a smile is a very simple and easy thing to do，so it amazes why no one bothers to do it，it not only makes the person in front of you better，but it also makes you feel better as well，and I’m not making this up，it has been psychologically proven.

Personally，I’d like to see more smiling faces in this world; in the airports when I enter a new country，in companies，government agencies，restaurants，hotels，banks，everywhere; and I think it is up to governments to campaign about this，and even make it obligatory in certain important places like airports，hospitals，hotels…etc.

Let’s all simply smile.

frankly speaking，i don’t quite agree with them。indeed，we should never neglect or even discard our traditonal festivals as china boasts a brilliant history and splendid traditions。（examples）。but why can’t we absorb the meaningful western holidays and culture。

there are obvious reasons why some western holidays are so popular in china。 on the one hand，some of the western holidays which we chinese don’t have are reasonable and meaningful，such as father’s day and april fool’s day etc。 on the other hand，the prevalence of globalization enables western culture to prevail in china。 overwhelmed by such a trend，chinese unconsiciously get involved in western holidays and culture。

with the further development of the whole world，the cultural communication between different countries and nations becomes faster and more and more important。 we are indeed from different nations，but we are the citizens of the same world，so the outstanding culture of different nations is the commom wealth of everyone on the earth。the only way for us to protect our traditional culture is to reject the foreign culture？the answer is definitely no。 what we ought to do is to spare no effort to educate chinese to get to know and treasure our splendid traditions instead of rejecting foreign culture。 only by educating can we set our confidence and belief towards our culture。 only by educating can we preserve and promote the wealth that our ancesters left for us。

I“ll tell you an experience of myself happened last week. last thursday our school was tackling something about woking fou study. i wanted to have a try even though i knew the salary was so low and i had little chance,because the students who had the certificate were always thought to have priority to get the job. fortunately i was called at noon and a teacher said to me that she wanted me to work for her and asked if i could change my mind.

At that moment i was so excited that immediately i accepted her idea. but later on,she found me that i”m not a student,so i had little chance and suggest me to get one. then an idea occurred to me that i could call my father and ask him to send me the letter. at the same time i was told that i was admitted to the job and don“t need the certificate. that time i forgot to remind my father,until the next day he called me that he had posted it and it would arrive in just one day.

At that moment i was moved, and even moved into tears, because i knew my father was injured not long before,the process of helping me with the affairs was not so convenient for him. but he tried his best to help me. sometimes we may complain about unsatisfying things around us,and blame them on our parents,sometimes they”ll be angry with us, and sometimes we can“t quite understand what they are thinking about. but on balance, almost every parent is selfless to his or her child.

They are ready to offer everything to us when we are in bad situation. we used to sharing sorrow with them,but do not forget to share our happiness with them, perhaps they will be much happier than we are. so from now on, let”s care more about our parents and do not leave pity to them. that“s what i want to tell you today. thank you!

In my opinion, the following part is of much more importance than the choice. There is no absolute right or wrong choice but wonderful or boring life, which the process makes the difference.

The process is not the road itself but the attitudes and feelings ,the caution, courage and persistance we have as we encounter new experience and unexpected obstacles. Take myself as an example, I changed my major when I became a postgraduate. After the choice,days have been harsh for me.I cannot understand the new lessons at all. For they are closely related to mathmatics which I learned nothing about before. However wuth the belief that this is the great chance for me to experience new ideas and challenge myself,I persisted. I asked for help from every channel and reorgonized my life. Gradually I could understand some parts and even found maths interesting.Moreover, I learned to act instead of complaining. In retrospect,the choice left no trace in my mind but the happiness and bitterness of the past four months becomes an unforgetable experience in my life.

Everybody knows waste paper and used coke cans are discarded everywhere. You might have seen plastic bags flying in the sky and getting caught in the trees when the wind blows or maybe you have seen old cans floating in the rivers and polluting the water. Our environment is the place in which we live, but it is being ruined by us.

There is a story about house and trees. It is said that a man’s house was surrounded by a lot of trees. Though the wind was strong, that man could have a good rest under the trees. How comfortable the life was! One day, that man wanted to enlarge his house, so he cut down all the trees. Then the autumn came without the protection. The strong wind blew the roof of the house into the sky. The whole house was gone with the wind. What a pity! But that’s the price people have to pay for destroying in the ecology balance. People shouldn’t be short-sighted. Protecting the environment is everyone’s task.

As you know, there are four kinds of pollution. They are air pollution, water pollution, waste pollution and noise pollution. But what can we do to solve the pollution? I think, firstly, we can make cars that don’t pollute the environment. We can ask companies to use modern clean technology. In some big cities, we can limit the number of cars. Secondly, we can try to use less water and make sure that we do not pollute the water. We can tell factories that they are not allowed to pour waste water into the lakes and rivers. Thirdly, we should not throw rubbish in parks and cities. We can pick up rubbish if we see it. We can put more rubbish bins in our parks and cities. Fourthly, we can live far from the noise and make the laws to limit the noise.

The air, water and the whole atmosphere directly influenced our lives, such as the air, people may cough and it will lead to cancer. So we must try our best to keep the world clean and tidy. To reach it, I want to put forward three points to everybody---Point 1：don’t spit and liter; Point 2：don’t draw on the wall; Point 3：clean the streets every day.

In order to make the environment clean, let’s join our hands together to make the world better.

“咔嚓”一聲門響，爸爸媽媽回來了。看著我的囧樣，他們不僅沒有責罵我，反而微笑著安慰我，麻利地幫我收拾“殘局”。

在這個暑假，我懷著一個愿望來到了武漢的海洋館，但在這里我卻只能隔著玻璃觸摸海水，只能向著空調感受海風，在空氣中感受到窒息，切切實實的想遠離這片“大海”。而一切都源于一只蜷縮在玻璃池壁角落的`江豚，在我瞥到它的時候，它露出的無助與憂傷。

也正是這種悲憫，讓我發現經過這里的每個人都是興高采烈地看著這些可愛的動物。透過玻璃的反光，我也看到了我的眼睛，也看到了同樣的藐視。我頓時像是驚恐得喪失了感覺，竟覺得海洋館中比烈日下的街道更悶熱。現在回想起來，才發現應當承受責任的我們，無情地限制住弱小的它們的生存空間時，這種無奈竟也是感同身受。

在那之后的很長一段時間，我每天都試著盡力去改變江豚的生活，甚至一天中反反復復纏著各地海洋館的客服，將自己從網上看到的呼吁和方法一遍遍發給他們。終于在幾乎所有被我纏過的客服都能從寥寥幾句話中辨認出是我之后，有一個客服忍不住對我說了一句：您說的都沒錯，但您想想看，難道為了您所謂的“人與動物和諧共處”就放掉這些野生動物，讓它們最終被商人宰殺?

我輕輕關掉網頁，覺得有必要仔細想想，我到底在追尋什么。我明明無法將在“牢籠”中的它們解救出來，而且即使解救出來了我也無力保護，那我到底該怎樣做?忽然像看不到前路那般難受，但在這一拳打空后我冷靜了下來。直到十分巧合地看到了一張江豚在玻璃缸中吐著泡泡，然后笑得很開心的圖片。我頓時感到很驚訝，為什么它和我之前看到的江豚截然不同?后來我找到了博主，得知江豚曾受過傷，但是它很幸運，受到了很多很多人的照顧。而時間慢慢過去，這只江豚也從起初抗拒一切，到慢慢接受了他們的照顧。

明白了，我明白了!自由固然很重要，但更重要的是我們的真心!有了這些真心，誰還會將江豚局限于這小小的天地中呢?

所以，試著從現在開始，讓纏繞在我們心上的戒備、貪欲、不屑一層層剝去。那么，也許我們就能和江豚在一起，真正地微笑。

大家好，我叫劉衛亮，來自東莞鎮黨委，首先感謝宣傳部和各承辦單位舉辦的這次活動，使我有機會和廣大朋友們一起交流學習。今天，我演講的題目是《只為群眾的微笑》。

只為群眾的微笑，這句話，聽起來那么輕松，甚至虛假，但長期在基層工作的同志們可能都會有著更深的體會，特別是我們東莞鎮，長期以來，作為全縣最為偏遠的一個鄉鎮，在思想解放、發展機遇甚至機關辦公條件上我們都相對滯后著，但多少年來，幾代東莞的基層干部，一直牢記著這句話，時刻想著這句話，使東莞迎來了發展的春天。截止，全鎮實現經濟生產總值33.6億元，財政收入突破1836萬元，全鎮經濟發展，社會和諧，廣大群眾的微笑從沒像今天這樣燦爛。

只為群眾的微笑，我們把增加農民收入作為核心出發點。幾年來，我們抓住產業結構的有利時機，按照調優結構、調大規模、調增效益目標，著力強化宣傳，積極引導，在鞏固發展了桑蠶、黃煙、中藥三大主導產業的基礎上，通過組織廣大黨員干部外出學習、邀請農業專家舉辦培訓班以及科普宣傳介紹等方式，先后發展起螞蚱、蝎子等特色養殖業，建立起有機果蔬、高效生態果蔬園等設施農業，帶動起黃粉蟲生產加工等食品產業，使全鎮農業結構發生了根本變化，在同樣的土地上實現了農民收入練級跳。東莞村是我們鎮的駐地村，因城鎮建設以及經濟發展等原因，全村人均耕地面積只有鄰村的1/2，如何在土地上做好文章，如何增加群眾的收入，鎮政府的包片領導和村委會進行了不計其數的研究討論，最后在縣委宣傳部的“每月一講”的的課堂上求來真經，該村率先在全鎮建立起規模性設施農業基地，先后發展起溫室大棚300余個，邀請農技專家培訓群眾1600余人次，使全村人居收入達到11000余元，在全鎮走在了前列。通過宣傳引導，幾年來，我們累計發展起特色養殖戶60余戶，建起溫室大棚620個，規模性養殖場11處，使農民的錢袋子真的更加富足了起來。

只為群眾的微笑，我們把改善民生作為工作的著力點。群眾的生活條件有沒有改善，生活水平有沒有提高，群眾的一張張笑臉最具有代表性。幾年來，我們鎮在加快經濟發展的同時，更加注重民生建設，更加注重提高廣大群眾的幸福指數，全鎮民生事業建設給廣大群眾帶來了實實在在的實惠。一是全鎮新農村建設步伐不斷加快。我們在成功引進來大型外資企業彼那尼榮安水泥和國字號央企莒縣中聯水泥的基礎上，探索實施了“村企合作”機制。我們依托彼那尼榮安二期工程建設，投資2800余萬元對付家莊村實施了整體搬遷，新村實現了綠化、美化、亮化、硬化“四化”和水、路、電、線、網“五通”目標。今年我們又依托莒縣中聯水泥項目建設，計劃投資1600萬元建設前花泉新村，目前房屋建設正全面展開，預計明年10月份新村建成并實施搬遷，望著一排排整齊的新房，一條條通暢的村莊街道，在這里廣大群眾“住有所居”的夢想正逐漸變為現實。二是我們不斷加強計生工作的引導宣傳，使全鎮計生工作走在了全市前列，我們先后有投資360萬元，高標準建起了計生辦公樓，依托村村村通廣播等宣傳方式，開展了心貼心服務、面對面對服務以及一幫一服務，使全鎮低生育水平基礎不斷鞏固，連續七年在全縣計生考核排名第一；三是不斷加強社會事業建設，我們先后投入560多萬元對全鎮中小學、幼兒園進行基礎設施建設和改造，教育、教學環境發生了顯著的變化，各項辦學條件走在了全縣的前列；投資260萬元建起3出街心公園，投資300萬元對鎮駐地環境進行了美化、綠化、亮化，使群眾的生活更加舒心。

只為群眾的微笑，我們把豐富群眾娛樂文化作為工作的切入點。幾年來，我們把豐富群眾娛樂文化生活放在突出位置，先后投資60萬元建起3處農家書屋，投資110萬元對全鎮村文化大院進行了擴建修筑，并依托黨員遠程教育平臺，初步建立起農村學校，為廣大群眾受教育、求知識、增技巧提供了方便。我們積極引導廣大群眾開展團體性娛樂活動，利用農村婦女在家賦閑時間組織起4支農村文藝演出隊，以自編自演的舞蹈、小品、話劇等表演方式，歌頌黨的政策、宣講計劃生育以及弘揚道德風尚，先后義務演出90余場，觀看群眾16000余人次，成為農村基層中最為活躍的宣傳力量，為進一步豐富群眾文化生活，營造淳樸的鄉村氛圍創造了有利條件。

為了群眾、依靠群眾、服務群眾，多少年來再也沒有比這句話更能深刻的闡述幾代東莞人孜孜以求的發展的理念，再也沒有更合適的語言來形容基層工作者為民想、為民盼、為民愿的深切感受。

今天，站在時代面前，站在黨旗下，我們又一次清楚的看到了，看到了廣大群眾為豐收而喜悅的笑臉，看到了為富裕而幸福的笑臉，看到了為美好生活而感恩的笑臉。

為了群眾的微笑，樸實無華，不僅是一份份基層工作者的`表情，更是心情、是感情，是始終踐行為人民服務的真實寫照。

為了群眾的微笑，勇敢堅強，不僅是熱愛農村工作的態度，更是信心，是決心，是保持與群眾雨水深情的真情反映。
