'm tired.Are you? Tired of the complaining and whining!

I'm convinced that people complain as a hobby these days, instead of quilting or bird watching!I'm not talking about simple aggravations.I'm talking the core of those who are so miserable that everything they say is followed by them shaking their heads in disgust and then adding an “I wish...” statement to their conversations.For instance, I have a friend who hates where she lives.She doesn't like the town, doesn't like the people and doesn't like the lack of culture in her community.Everything she does has a negative connotation.I did see her smile, once, but it was when she was talking bad about one of her neighbors.I was raised with the rule that if you couldn't say something nice, don't say anything at all.I am trying very hard to help instill that in my children.It's very hard, though, when we are surrounded by such unhappiness!

People have endured religious wars, holocausts, civil battles to preserve freedom and many other atrocities on national levels.Many of the survivors of these causes end up with a renewed sense of happiness and joy!

Do you still remember the smiles from someone in your mind? What’s your feeling about that? The majority of people are trying to pursue happiness through their lifetime, but what is the root of happiness? I take the strong position that one of the secrets is smile.Smile makes the world go around.It’s easier to make new friends through charming and friendly smiles.Smile always creates a good impression.Maybe we cannot remember someone’s name after meeting each other for the first time;however, his or her smile impressed us.Each of us in the world is spending every minute on daily life kind of in a hurry.We sometimes neglect love or caring from others.What makes it worse is that we don’t even have time to smile to them in return.Many people just turn in on themselves;or show great sympathy on getting into fame or even social climbing.So it is no surprise that weariness or anxiety is around us.It is tragic that what they are up to exhausts them finally.But think for a while, is that all about life? For me, life is always good, wonderful and promising, although my family isn’t rich enough to afford money for me to buy luxuries, or go traveling where I like.There are pains in life, really, which everyone take inevitably.As the saying goes,“No pains, no gains.”Pains or sufferings from life are necessary for one to grow up.Life can never be complete without any difficulties.Life is full of sweetness, but from time to time, life is filled with adversity.That’s life.But one thing for us to remember when facing troubles is to smile.Don’t complain about that.That will make no difference other than keeping you in a worse situation.In fact, all of us are waiting for the day when our dreams come true.But in reality it’s not likely to happen just as what we expect.Perhaps, you are not a success in others’ eyes, you take no money with you or even you have a lower social status;however, you don’t need to lose heart, because the most valuable gift you have is your smile.Everyone has a bad day all his or her life.If you are one of the close friends of them, and you can’t help them out of woods on the spur of the moment, what you could do is to show your nice smile at least, trying to comfort them.

A smile has many meanings: pleasure，friendliness，welcome，amusement，and many more; and it is part of a universal body language that doesn’t need any extra interpretation.

Plus a smile，with all its simplcity and beauty，can be a very important factor in many aspects of our lives:

You fall in love with a new country you visit because its people greet you with a welcoming smile everywhere you go; other countries you just don’t like even though they might have more history，nature，entertainment and whatnot because their people don’t seem so friendly or accepting.

You feel like buying from a certain store when the vendor welcomes you in with a smile，sometimes even if you wouldn’t intially have bought anything; and in other stores，even though they have exactly what you need or better，you decide to walk away because the vendor doesn’t look welcoming at all.

You want to give a waiter a good tip when he serves you with a smile，even if the food turns out not that good; on the other hand，sometimes you’ll have some of the best food ever，but you won’t feel like giving the waiter a tip，even if you do，because he was grumpy.

More and more examples from our everyday life show how much a simple smile can change everything.

Forever engraved in my mind will be the smiling faces of the people of Thailand，the friendly pizza delivery boy，the welcoming supermarket vendor，the nice cashier at the bank，…etc.

It is these smiles that keep me wanting to go back，and that keep us all wanting to go back; looking at it from another view，if we break it down using business sense，a smile is one of the most effective means to generate sales and develop customer loyalty.

On top of all that，a smile is a very simple and easy thing to do，so it amazes why no one bothers to do it，it not only makes the person in front of you better，but it also makes you feel better as well，and I’m not making this up，it has been psychologically proven.

Personally，I’d like to see more smiling faces in this world; in the airports when I enter a new country，in companies，government agencies，restaurants，hotels，banks，everywhere; and I think it is up to governments to campaign about this，and even make it obligatory in certain important places like airports，hospitals，hotels…etc.

Let’s all simply smile.

Take myself as an example, I changed my major when I became a postgraduate. After the choice,days have been harsh for me.I cannot understand the new lessons at all. For they are closely related to mathmatics which I learned nothing about before. However wuth the belief that this is the great chance for me to experience new ideas and challenge myself,I persisted. I asked for help from every channel and reorgonized my life. Gradually I could understand some parts and even found maths interesting.Moreover, I learned to act instead of complaining. In retrospect,the choice left no trace in my mind but the happiness and bitterness of the past four months becomes an unforgetable experience in my life.

Everybody knows waste paper and used coke cans are discarded everywhere. You might have seen plastic bags flying in the sky and getting caught in the trees when the wind blows or maybe you have seen old cans floating in the rivers and polluting the water. Our environment is the place in which we live, but it is being ruined by us.

There is a story about house and trees. It is said that a man’s house was surrounded by a lot of trees. Though the wind was strong, that man could have a good rest under the trees. How comfortable the life was! One day, that man wanted to enlarge his house, so he cut down all the trees. Then the autumn came without the protection. The strong wind blew the roof of the house into the sky. The whole house was gone with the wind. What a pity! But that’s the price people have to pay for destroying in the ecology balance. People shouldn’t be short-sighted. Protecting the environment is everyone’s task.

As you know, there are four kinds of pollution. They are air pollution, water pollution, waste pollution and noise pollution. But what can we do to solve the pollution? I think, firstly, we can make cars that don’t pollute the environment. We can ask companies to use modern clean technology. In some big cities, we can limit the number of cars. Secondly, we can try to use less water and make sure that we do not pollute the water. We can tell factories that they are not allowed to pour waste water into the lakes and rivers. Thirdly, we should not throw rubbish in parks and cities. We can pick up rubbish if we see it. We can put more rubbish bins in our parks and cities. Fourthly, we can live far from the noise and make the laws to limit the noise.

The air, water and the whole atmosphere directly influenced our lives, such as the air, people may cough and it will lead to cancer. So we must try our best to keep the world clean and tidy. To reach it, I want to put forward three points to everybody---Point 1：don’t spit and liter; Point 2：don’t draw on the wall; Point 3：clean the streets every day.

In order to make the environment clean, let’s join our hands together to make the world better.

How to stimulate my class and show my warmth, so that they can enjoy their study in English? I had a deep thought.

It’s smile. There is a kindness called smile. It is the most beautiful language in the world. It can make distance no distance. “Just awake the students with a smiling face!”I said to myself. The next day, when I stood on the stage with a smiling face, when I asked the questions with a smile, when I encouraged the children in a friendly way, the students were just shocked!

But I could find there was more happiness and excitement in their eyes!
