茂名民俗風情

茂名市位于廣東省西南部，是石油化工城市。陸地總面積11459平方公里，現轄高州市、信宜市、化州市、電白縣和茂南區、水東經濟開發試驗區。總人口約618萬。沿海有220公里海岸線，主要河流有鑒江、羅江、黃華河，港口有博賀漁港、茂名港。距今約4500年的新石器晚期，境內已有土著民族繁衍生息，創造人類文明。如今的茂名更有著濃厚的文化氣息，有著自己的獨特的民俗風情。

茂名春節風俗習慣

年例

過了春節，茂名各地的年例也就陸續開始了。所謂“年例”，可解釋為年年有例，俗語也叫“飯期”。茂名人有“年例大過年”的說法，可以說“年例”是茂名農村的第一大節日。

茂名地方的“年例”，可以說來源于“元宵節”。元宵節作為我國的傳統節日，是指農歷正月十五這一天。這天晚上有觀燈的風俗，“東風夜放花千樹”描寫的正是元宵節觀燈的情景，因此元宵節也稱燈節或上元節。也許是茂名人的創造，把節日時間錯開，便成了以吃喝為主的“年例”。年例期早的從年初五便開始，直到二月底。茂南有句俗語“最早黃竹，最遲艾屋”，是說高山鎮黃竹村正月初七日便做年例，而公館鎮的艾屋地是2月28日才做年例。各條村莊的年例日期錯開，是便于親戚朋友互相歡聚。

在改革開放前，農村人做年例沒有現在這樣熱鬧、隆重。那時，生產隊干魚塘，殺幾頭豬，社員們領回幾斤魚、幾斤肉，再殺一個雞做菜，就算是豐盛了。改革開放后，人們生活水平提高了，做年例也就越來越隆重、熱鬧。現在的年例，一般人家也擺上三、五桌；富裕人家則擺十幾二十桌，吃的也不僅僅是雞、鴨、魚、肉，而是“天上飛的，海里游的”，山珍海味，應有盡有。做年例是誰家客人多，客人級別高，門口停放的小車多，主人的面子就大。因此，探年例不僅親戚朋友來，連親戚的親戚，朋友的朋友，都可以來。親戚朋友見見面，聚聚情誼，交流信息，辛苦一年的農民高興熱鬧幾天，也是一件有益的事。

年例一般有三天，頭天叫“起年例”，第二天叫“正年例”，最后一天叫“年例尾”。從“起年例”到“年例尾”，貫穿始終的是大吃大喝和一連串的迷信活動。家家戶戶用雞、豬肉、魚做成一副“三牲”，擺在一起供“菩薩”享用，名之曰“擺忠”。之后是放鞭炮，鞭炮聲伴著鑼鼓聲，不絕于耳，場面壯觀。第二天是菩薩出游巡門，人們這天擺的是生果素菜，一個道士，揚著一把生銹的“利劍”，一路上口中念念有詞，陪著菩薩共舞，場面滑稽熱鬧。此時有花燈觀賞，有木偶演唱，有電影公映，有煙花燃放，甚至有勇士比武，醒獅獻藝或粵劇上演。他們各占一方，各行其道，龐雜而相對有序，獨立而相對統一。客人既可各擇喜好，又無需四處奔走，轉身變項，移步換景，瀏覽細賞相當方便。

“年例尾”那天早上，火燒紙船，菩薩回廟，一年的年例也隨之結束。

在我的家鄉信宜農村，解放前的婚姻習俗，大體都經歷相親、訂婚、結婚三個程序。

相親。除一部分由父母包辦外，一部分經媒人介紹，約定時間，男女到一個地方見面，俗叫相睇。男方要給女方一些相睇錢，并接待吃飯。

訂婚。經媒人將雙方意見告訴對方，男女雙方同意后，男方籌備禮物訂婚，叫“回成”、“酒擔”、或叫“去定頭”。一般男家要行帖，送去衣服、手鐲、檳榔、糖果、餅等物品，女方回送一對新油罌，一對雞，兩條褲，或一丈二尺布。

結婚。結婚前，男方要向女方送帖，報送結婚日子單，定下某月某日迎鸞，俗叫“過禮”。帖中講究禮儀，全講套話。如“德禽”幾翼（雞）、“家雁”幾掌（鵝）、“魯酒”幾埕（米酒）、“龍鳳”團圓餅幾對（父母餅），還有“桂子”餅、“龍頭”餅等若干。男方除送禮物外，還封禮金、乳金（給新娘母親錢）、冰人（媒人錢、女方封的稱月老）。此外，還有“百福花紅”（給新娘姐妹錢）、“祝神花紅”（燒紙的錢）、“刀砧花紅”（送廚師的錢）、“行腳花紅”（指新娘的家具上車費），還有“贄儀”（新郎第一次到女家見女方的叔伯兄弟封的錢），女方的叔伯兄弟回禮給新郎叫“扇金”。

結婚那天，新娘盡情打扮。出門時，由子女多、生活好的人給新娘梳頭。邊梳邊唱“梳頭歌”，新娘唱“哭娘歌”。迎親這天，男家要送禮物，一般送米、肉、酒、餅４擔，最少也要送兩擔。禮物送雙不送單。舊式禮節，迎親用花轎，轎門要貼上對聯，一般是男方貼上聯，女方貼下聯。有錢人家請“八音班”，或大小吹打一路奏樂。新娘到家后，男方鳴放鞭炮表示歡迎，由新郎或牽轎娘帶入新房“拜燈”，然后“合燈”（把兩支合成一支），再吃“和順酒”，晚餐吃“圓房飯”。新娘接回后，次日早上拜堂，小兩口先拜天下，后拜祖宗，再拜家公家婆和宗族長輩。拜時只兩跪兩拜，表示好事成雙，受拜者要給紅包。婚后３天，新郎、新娘到女方家拜見岳父母，叫“會面”。

解放后，隨著國家頒布了《婚姻法》，實行男女平等，婚姻自由，自主自愿。這些習俗，已經成為歷史。

茂名過年時候的習俗主要有: 1.正窮節吃艾（米乞）

農歷正月最后一天為“正窮節”，即正月結束的意思。茂名地區“正窮節”還有另一層含義，因本地“正”與“蒸”同音，“正窮”即“蒸窮”，是將窮苦病患從人世間“蒸發掉”之意。這天，鄉間戶戶飲艾茶、插艾花、吃艾（米乞）。人們都到田野里采摘艾菜，拿回家中洗凈、曬干，搓成茸狀，放進鍋中煮熟，搓干水，伴以米粉、紅糖搓勻，做成艾（米乞）。因艾有去塵排積、鎮災驅邪的作用；故艾（米乞）也稱“正窮，吃了“正窮”，可使身體健康，無病少痛，人們非常喜歡吃。

2.年廿六、七做（米乞）吃

每年到了農歷十二月二十六或二十七，我市民間都有做吃的習慣。相傳，從前茂名本是一片荒蕪之地，五谷不生，后來來了一群躲避戰亂的人，見此處丘陵連綿，了無烽煙，便扎根開荒種作，繁衍生息。人們初時只能種些薯類等雜糧，聊以充饑。為充分利用糧食，人們便將雜糧用木槌搗成粉，加水攪成糊狀蒸煮，令其體積增加幾倍，成為木薯糊、玉米糊之類的食物。再后來，人們已成功地在這塊土地上種上了稻谷，并連連獲得好收成。為慶祝豐收，也為調換口味，人們便按先前之方法，將米搗成粉，并配以蔬菜之類簡單的餡料，做成了有一定形狀和一定味道的食物，這就是“（米乞）”了。初時，人們還只是用梗米（俗稱“粘米”）粉做，后來發現糯米粉黏性更強、造型更易，口感更佳，便專門用糯米粉做（米乞），年復一年，漸成風俗。

茂名糯米（米乞）式樣很多，有煮湯（米乞）、菜包（米乞）、壽桃（米乞）、水（米乞）、糖心糍、糖板（米乞）、槌撻（米乞）、灰水粽、艾（米乞）、糯米糍、發（米乞）等。各種（米乞）都有不同的做法，不同的形狀、不同的吃法、不同的味道。每年在過年前幾天，即臘月二十六、七的時候，我市民間便興起做（米乞）的習俗，一來表示送舊迎新，二來可準備一些以“擺年”（即將（米乞）放在家中跨越新舊兩年），以祈求來年五谷豐登、生活美好。

3.年晚張貼春聯 守歲分壓歲錢

農歷十二月最后一天是除夕，茂名地區稱年晚或年三十晚。這一天，農村的生產活動基本停止，家家戶戶開始貼春聯、門神，門額上貼上利是，灶頭、水缸、豬欄、牛欄、谷桶等也要開始貼上一張小紅紙，以示吉利。還搞一些祭祀活動，備辦雞、豬肉、魚等酒菜，燒紙燒香祭祠堂、廟宇、社稷、祖宗、灶君等。

除夕晚餐，一家人圍坐在一起吃團圓飯。團圓飯基本上是一年之中最豐盛的一頓。外出的人一般都回家過年晚，與家人團聚吃年飯。吃時，若家里有人外出未歸時，則要給外出的人留下1個座位和1副碗筷，以寄托思念之情，團圓飯也要剩些到第二天（即第二年）。團年飯的菜式多樣，但一定要有魚，表示年年有余的意思。

家家戶戶做好團年飯之后，首先必須祭祖宗。祭畢，將祭祖用的飯菜重新熱過，設大桌于大廳，一家人團團圍堅，這是每個家庭大團圓的美好時刻。

當晚，長輩要給孩子分壓歲錢，還要在家中擺上一些生蒜、蘑菇、甘蔗、糯米、煎堆、果品、蒸糖籠等，此謂“擺年”，都是表示來年多福多壽、甜甜美美、平安幸福的意思。此外，家中每間房子還要點上燈，一家人圍坐在一起守歲。直到交年時分，家家燃放煙花炮竹，以示除舊迎新。

4.年廿三 送灶君 掃灰塵

農歷十二月二十三，茂名地區俗稱“小年晚”，也稱“祭灶節”，家家戶戶備辦茶酒、素菜、果品、甜品，在廚房中燒紙敬祭灶君，送其升天，然后從里到外清潔衛生、打掃灰塵。

祭灶，是一項在我市民間影響很大、流傳極廣的習俗。舊時，差不多家家灶間都設有“灶王爺”神位。人們稱這尊神為“司命菩薩”或“灶君司命”，傳說他是玉皇大帝封的“九天東廚司命灶王府君”，負責管理各家的灶火，被作為一家的保護神而受到崇拜。灶王龕大都設在灶房的北面或東面，中間供上灶王爺的神像。沒有灶王龕的人家，也有將神像直接貼在墻上的。有的神像只畫灶王爺一人，有的則有男女兩人，女神被稱為“灶王奶奶”。灶王爺像上大多都還印有這一年的日歷，上書“東廚司命主”、“人間監察神”、“一家之主”等文字，以表明灶神的地位。兩旁貼上“上天言好事，下界保平安”的對聯。到了臘月二十三，人們便備辦茶酒果品等，燒紙祭灶，送灶君上西天，以表達對灶君的尊敬之情。

在春節前掃塵，是我國人民素有的傳統習慣。每逢春節來臨，家家戶戶都要打掃衛生，清洗各種器具，拆洗被褥窗簾，灑掃大庭小院，撣拂塵垢蛛網，疏浚明渠暗溝。大街小巷，各家各戶洋溢著忙忙碌碌、歡歡喜喜搞衛生、干干凈凈迎新春的氣氛。

我國春節，俗稱“新年”、“陰歷年”，是我國漢族人民最隆盛的節日。據了解，殷商時，每年的首日是從農歷十二月開始，秦朝和漢初則從農歷十月始。漢武帝太初元年采用“太初歷”，規定以孟春正月為歲首。公元1911年，辛亥革命后，采用陽歷紀年，以陽歷元月一日為歲首，將農歷正月初一改稱春節，沿用至今。

在粵西茂名，過年一般是指從臘月二十三開始至正月結束這一段時間，主要的地方習俗有祭灶、掃塵、做（米乞）、貼春聯、貼門神、吃團年飯、燃放煙花炮竹、分壓歲錢、守歲、拜年、派利是錢、做年例、唱大戲、吃艾（米乞）等。

5.做年例 睇大戲

農歷正月十五為“元宵節”，我市俗稱“年例”。但茂名地區的年例日卻各地有所不同，大體上是從正月初二起至正月底止，也有些地方是在農歷二月份的，其余一些“翻秋”年例則每個月都有，年例節一般一個村莊為同一天，少數兩天。也有附近數條村莊的年例節都是在同一日的。年例節多集中在元宵節前后。

年例是茂名地區民間過年最隆重的一個節日，在農村素有“年例大過春節”的說法，也是茂名地區最具特色的一個節日。年例期間，家家張燈結彩，村鎮街道布置彩樓、彩廊、畫廊等，路旁插滿彩旗，鞭炮聲及鑼鼓聲此起彼伏，各種民間藝術表演力竭所能，盡獻于眾。粵劇、電影、歌舞、木偶戲、采茶戲、雜劇以及各種各樣的文娛活動紛紛亮相。其中尤以粵劇最為受歡迎。粵劇本地俗稱“大戲”，是各地年例日必備的表演節目。一般在年例日前后連演數天，觀者絡繹不絕。此外，醒獅班前來舞獅助興，也是年例日的必備項目。

年例的主旨是敬神、游神、擺鐘、祭禮社稷，祈禱風調雨順、百業興旺、國泰民安。一村過年例，周圍村莊群眾都來看熱鬧助興，家家戶戶大擺宴席招待親朋戚友，不論是否相識，一律熱情款待茶飯酒菜。

6.春節派利是 拜年舞獅子

農歷正月初一為春節，是新一年的開始，也叫“新年”，是最隆重的節日。自古以來，茂名人過春節，一般由年初一延續到初五、六。初一這天凌晨，各地燃放炮竹慶賀。早上起來，孩子首先給長輩拜年，長輩則給孩子派“利是錢”，以示吉利。人們則互相拜年，見面互道“恭喜發財”、“添福添壽”等吉利話，預祝新年萬事如意，順順利利。在我市一些地方，這天禁忌很多，如：要吃素、不倒垃圾、不能爭吵、不向人討債索錢、水缸要裝滿水、灶膛里要保持有火種、出嫁女不在娘家住宿、千萬不要損壞家中器具，等等。

春節期間，各地進行祭祀、廟會、宴飲、迎神、賀年、玩賞、燃燈等活動，城鄉普遍開展打太平鼓、舞獅子、玩花燈、舞旱船、舞龍等節目，其中尤以舞獅最為盛行。在農村，醒獅班行走各村各戶，上門舞獅子、耍功夫，拜年賀歲；在城鎮，醒獅班則逐街逐巷到一些店鋪或單位處敲鑼打鼓舞動獅子拜年，祝單位紅火，商家生意興旺。

茂名習俗孩子滿月 外婆送被

1樓 偶被ni寵壞oLV29 09-25 08:14 新生命的誕生總是帶著喜慶祥和的氣氛的，在我鎮絕大部分地區都有著嬰兒滿月時外婆送褸被以驅穢辟邪、富貴保命的風俗。這一習俗源自古代，而褸被的制作也頗有講究。當嬰兒呱呱落地后，聞訊的外婆便要開始一輪歡喜的忙碌了。逐家逐戶地宣布新添了外孫，在人們的恭喜聲中討要布碎，名為“討彩”，布碎要得越多越好，寓意有難眾人幫、有福百人扶、吉慶有余。被面既要滿足數量大又要美觀大方，巧手慧心的人們便細心地剪成一塊塊大小均勻的三角形布碎，拼花縫結起來，名為“結（接）福。三角布碎的總數定要雙數，且要好意頭，例如98（久發）、138（一生發）、168（一路發）、188（發上加發）。最后，縫被邊時要請一位“全福”（父母、公婆、丈夫、子女雙全）的婦人前來幫忙，寓意孩子日后亦可全福。滿月那天早上外婆便將三角補丁被連同兩條背帶交給攜同孩子回娘家的女兒，寓意母親連生貴子、孩子活潑健康、長命百歲。而今，人們生活由過去的求溫飽到現在的奔小康，孩子已不用靠三角補丁被的保佑和幫助，自然也就可以讓滿月送褸被成為一項既名貴又實用兼吉慶的消費了。三雞”習俗

高涼古郡，地處僻隅，民情淳樸，古風奇異，婚俗事體頗多，其“三雞”習俗（即“爬路雞”、“扎屋雞”、“口水雞”），起源久遠，沿襲至今。

爬路雞

結婚男女舉行婚禮的前一天或當天上午，男方的父母準備好一對“爬路雞”放在紅花大橋座位底下，請轎夫大叔抬花轎到女家迎娶新娘前，將雞送給女方父母。新中國成立后，新娘不再興坐紅花大轎了，男方則派人將“爬路雞”用自行車搭送或挑到女家。“爬路雞”是一對又肥又大的閹雞，裝雞的新籠子用彩紅色染一遍，再在新籠子蓋面上貼上用大紅紙剪成的紅雙喜字樣，籠耳用染紅的九尺繩子結就。“爬路雞”寓意是爬開路途中的障礙和迷霧，讓新娘來往無阻，女家往返吉祥。

扎屋雞

新婚夫婦于結婚三日后，便去探望岳父母。當返家時，岳父母送給女婿、女兒一對精選出來的“扎屋雞”，這對“扎屋雞”是一雄一雌尚未成熟的“筍雞”。它寄托著父母的殷切希望，望女兒像雞兒一樣在女婿家中扎下根基，愛屋及烏，早日興家，家大業大。

口水雞

女婿女兒第一次帶著新生孩子去探望外公外婆時，將得到熱情的接待。當外孫返家時，外公外婆除了用籃子備好給外孫豐盛的禮品外，還挑選一對剛分公母的小雞用染色的小籠子裝著，送給外孫帶回家中飼養。這對活靈靈、毛茸茸的小雞叫做“口水雞”。外公外婆送外孫“口水雞”，寄望外孫日后不流口水，身體健康，日間玩好，夜間睡好，快快長大。家鄉的習俗&2010&茂名

年例，是粵西南茂名的獨特習俗。正月初二開始陸續有人過年例，意在“年年有例，歲歲有歌”，以農歷正月至三月最為熱鬧。村村鳴鑼醒獅，親朋匯聚，鄉俗繽紛，四野一片喜慶歡鬧。農村人管這段時期叫“年例春”。

在茂名市的電白、高州、化州、茂南、茂港及近鄰吳川等地的農村，至今仍沿襲著一種奇特的民間文化習俗——做“年例”。當地人把做“年例”看得比過年更重要。過年可以簡單點，做“年例”則不能馬虎，必須大操大辦，熱熱鬧鬧，讓親戚朋友大吃大喝一餐。

追溯“年例”的歷史，它實際上是擴大了的元宵節、廟會、社、粵西茂名等地方祖先遷移落腳紀念日等綜合起來的節日。據了解，明、清朝時“年例”已記入當地的地方志，民國初年至解放初期都比較盛行，后來曾一度中斷，上世紀八十年代以來逐漸恢復，目前茂名及其所轄市縣（區）鄉村，大都盛行做“年例”，而且相當隆重熱鬧。它還讓我們去追根溯源其文化與歷史上的傳奇人物——冼太夫人的聯系。

一、“年例”大于“年”

“年例”，它與傳統的過年一樣非常熱鬧、喜氣，不同的是當地人把它看著大于過年。做“年例”中其文化內涵不知不覺地深深印刻在當地百姓的心底，那就是冼太夫人文化。

民以食為天，“年例”的那一天家家都把宰好的豬和殺好的雞、鴨拿到廣場或村門口擺出來一同展示，他們稱這種形式為“擺譙”，“擺譙”是“年例”那天的第一個項目，人們一早就在自家的“擺譙”位旁等候請來的“神像” ——冼太夫人塑像。敬拜時，在濃濃的炮竹煙霧彌漫之中，可以看到敬拜的人群里不僅有老人、中年人，還有年輕人和小孩子們，場面非常壯觀。據說，“擺譙”一來是看一看誰家的豬肥，誰家的雞、鴨大，二來也有請冼太夫人回家與大家一起過年之意。

“年例”活動，“初時是騎馬、射箭、比武，以后演繹為游神，演戲。”其中的“游神”就是把“神像”請出來，抬著在各村和城鎮的大街上游行。“游神”的習俗如果用一種迷信色彩的單純解釋是不科學的。

我們發現“年例”中“游神”的神像卻總是有1400多年前南北朝時期的人物——冼太夫人的雕塑造型。“游神”時所經民宅之處鞭炮齊鳴，煙花綻放，以示敬意。走訪的時候，鄉里人說，“年例”包含有三層涵義：一是請冼太夫人沐浴、更衣。因為冼太夫人生前每逢節日都要出來巡視，所以這一帶的人們就習慣性地把她接回娘家與大家一齊吃飯過年。吃飯時，來客無論認識與否，越多越好，以表示有人緣，家業興旺的意頭。二是請冼太夫人出來游一游，看一看家鄉人們生活的變化，感謝冼太夫人給自己帶來的富裕。三是今天的“游神”也是過去為抵御外來的侵犯而顯示自己村落勢力而演化的一種形式。

從史料中看，冼太夫人在當地一帶已是一位頗具影響力的人物。“年例”活動最初是由冼氏家族而興起。史料中說：“冼太夫人的后裔他們按皇帝當年對馮氏家族祭祀和游神時的特許口喻，可以組織12支長號，每次可連續打12下銅鑼，連續燃放12聲響炮。尤其逢元宵節，冼太出游舊城時，隨后隊伍有幾百米長，旌旗招展，鑼鼓喧天，鞭炮齊鳴，氣氛熱鬧，情緒激揚。”

當大城市居民日益覺得傳統的節日過得越來越無味的時候，家鄉的民間傳統的民情風俗依然可以保存得很好，家鄉的傳統文化沒有在今天的一切都全球化的大潮中消失殆盡。年例在現實生活中固然存有迷信色彩，大吃大喝的不良一面，但“年例”二字卻成了每一位家鄉人心中最最真摯的鄉情！在年例中，和在其他地方生活的有著共同血液的親戚和在外工作或生活的朋友共聚一堂。或許，一年當中，就只有年例這一天能見到許多好久不見的朋友，在這一天，和好友們說著當年，說著以后，聯絡著朋友間真摯的感情。人的一生中擁有許多朋友是一件多幸福的事！和朋友相聚又是一件多愜意的事！年例就是這樣一座橋梁，將友情親情連在一起。年例是茂名靚麗的一道彩虹~~~愛我家鄉，愛我家鄉的年例！

“吃秋”的傳說

在茂名市的大部分地區都有“吃秋”的習俗，就是在農歷的立秋那天用燈心草煮水，再放入黑豆同煮，最后才加入切成丁的芋頭煮熟即可，據說吃后有清心降火、解表散邪、祛風清熱明目的功效。這一習俗源自于由古自今人們常講的一句俗話“賤過阿貴”，在這句話的背后有一個發人深省的傳說故事。

在幾百年前，潘州南巴，即今電白縣電城附近，有一名地主名叫陳百萬，他欺壓民眾、侵吞田地，積下家財萬貫。他早年娶了一妻三妾，接連生了七個女兒，卻無一男丁。在他五十九歲這一年，他使計強行納瞎眼貧農吳大的獨生女為四妾，走投無路的吳阿大在女兒成親之夜悲憤地撞墻自殺了。也許是陳百萬命中注定有此一劫，四妾竟給他生了個白白胖胖的兒子。陳百萬欣喜若狂，請當地最出名的算命先生給兒子定花根。算命先生說孩子生有貴骨，且八字為逆三奇，是天生不用做就有得食的安樂命，日后必定大富大貴。陳百萬給兒子取名：“陳富貴”，昵稱“阿貴”，希望子孫后代永享富貴、福運長久。

阿貴從小就結交一群不務正業的損友惹事生非，吃喝嫖賭無所不通，花錢像流水似地。由于家中常有人上門討債，把陳百萬氣得五尸爆跳、七竅生煙，嚴訓了阿貴一場，沒想到叛逆的阿貴不但不聽勸阻，還罵罵咧咧地將老父親一頓拳打腳踢。陳百萬重傷在床，不久便一命鳴呼了。此時的阿貴比他的父親更加心狠手辣，胡作非為。沒過幾個月他便將家中田產、錢銀輸盡。輸紅了眼的他仍不知悔改，將家中的仆人和屋產變賣籌集賭資與人豪賭，轉眼間便輸個精光。無處安身的母親既羞愧又絕望地到尼姑庵出家了，昔日前呼后擁的酒肉朋友也紛紛離他而去。人們都說阿貴敗家是陳百萬作惡多端的報應。
