感恩節快樂英語：Happy Thanksgiving

在歐洲受到迫害的這些人到了美國大陸，因為天氣很冷沒東西吃，而當地的土著邀請他們來家中共享食物，所以美國人才設立了這個節日感謝當時這些印第安人，現在則變成一個充滿感恩及闔家團聚的節日

“火雞”用英語怎么說呢?不叫做“Hot chicken”哦，而是叫做“Turkey”。

1620年，英國一批主張改革的清教徒，因理想和抱負不能實現而退出國教，自立新教，此舉激起了英國當政者的仇恨。他們不得不乘船遠渡重洋，流亡美國。

船在大海中漂泊了65天，終于到達了美國東海岸，在羅得島州的普羅維斯敦港登陸。當時，此處還是一片荒涼未開墾的處女地，火雞和其他野生動物隨處可見。時值寒冬，來到陌生的地方，缺衣少食，惡劣的環境正在威脅著他們的生命。

在這生死攸關的時刻，當地的印第安人為他們送去了食物、生活用品和生產工具，幫助他們建立了新家園。為感謝在危難之時幫助、支援過他們的印第安人，同時也感謝上帝對他們的“恩賜”，他們將獵獲的火雞制成美味佳肴，盛情款待印第安人。感恩節吃火雞的習俗便流傳下來了。

今天是美國的感恩節，可是，對火雞來說，今天是——清明節!美國一個火雞農場上周與這周的區別。

不過，也有比較幸運的火雞得到了總統的赦免。奧巴馬昨天和他的兩個女兒一起赦免了一只名叫“爆米花”的火雞。美國總統從肯尼迪開始都會在感恩節前1天特赦兩只火雞，并從中票選一只成為“年度感恩節火雞”。但是，奧巴馬被美國媒體稱為“烏鴉手”，因為自他上任以來赦免的8只火雞，竟只有1只順利地活到來年感恩節，其他7只全都在得到他特赦后迅速“歸天”!甚至有保護動物組織這一年發起“別再赦免火雞”活動。為這一年這只幸運但也可能不行的火雞祈福吧~~
