A fox's tail was caught in a trap.When he was trying to release himself, he lost his whole tail except the stump.At first he was ashamed to see the other foxes because he had no tail, but he was determined to face his misfortune.He called all the foxes to a meeting.When they had gotten together, the fox said that they should all do away with their tails.He said that their tails were very inconvenient when they met with their enemies.He did not talk about any advantages of the tail.“You are right,” said one of the older foxes, “but I don’t think you would advise us to do away with our tails if you hadn't lost it yourself first.”

Mr Tiger is the king ofthe forest.So he looks down upon everything in the world.One day, A tiger was hungry, he was looking for food.Suddenly ,he found a frog in front of him.“Ha ha!A frog!My dinner!”said excitedly Mr Tiger.So he rushed at the frog.“Don’t move ,wait a minute,please, Mr Tiger.I’m stronger than you,” saidMr Frog.“What? You are stronger than me? 第四篇：英語口語比賽

英語口語比賽方案

為了進一步推動我校英語教學和素質教育的發展，現代學院文旅分院在技能節到來之季，特舉辦高職高專學生英語演講比賽，本屆比賽的時間為4月18日，為了保證賽事的順利進行，特制訂本章程，請各參賽單位遵照執行。

一、比賽宗旨

激發學生學習英語的興趣、提高英語的綜合應用能力，給中學生提供一個鍛煉自我、展示自我、捕捉機遇的舞臺。

二、主辦單位

主辦單位：江西現代學院文旅分院

三、比賽形式

1．比賽時間：2007年4月18日

2．比賽地點：文旅分院教學樓（305多媒體教室）

3．參賽對象：面向全體在校各專業學生

4．比賽內容和題目：比賽由兩部分組成：

（1）第一部分為已備演講：從以下兩個題目當中任選一題，寫一篇500字左右的演講稿，演講內容根據以下題目自行擬定，充分發揮，演講時間為3分鐘。

演講題目：How to Define a Friend（如何定義朋友）

Building Trust Between People（在人們之間建立信任）

（2）第二部分為現場問答：問題為常識性、時事性知識或觀點，選

手現場抽抽取兩道問題，由主持人念題。問答時間共為兩分鐘。

四、獎項設置

本次演講比賽設一、二、三等獎，根據參賽選手人數比例產生，其中一等獎占5%，二等獎占10%，三等獎占20%，所有獲獎選手的指導教師均將獲得榮譽證書。

五、評判標準

1．評委團：由5位中外英語教師、學者組成。

2．評分標準： 滿分為100分，分為四個方面

（1）內容方面：主題鮮明，內容生動占30%

結構清晰，邏輯性強占15%

表達完整，具有創意占15%

（2）語言方面：發音準確，語調標準占30%

用詞恰當，表達流利占30%

（3）表演方面：感情充沛，富有表現力占20%

著裝整潔，儀表大方占20%

（4）回答問題方面：聽懂并基本答出問題占20%

聽懂并基本答出一個問題占10%

聽懂并基本答出兩個問題占20%

七、其他事項

有關比賽和評審的解釋權和仲裁權在大賽組織單位。
