教師上課時首先問學生：“Do you often go to the reading-room in your school?” 接著，教師問：“What kind of books would you like to read? Do you like to read books on animals(about animals), or on food or on science? Do you like story book? Do you like picture books or do you like cartoons?” 教師可以將事先準備好的書一一給他們展示。接著，教師問學生：“Have you brought your own books to our class? If you have, please come here and show it to our class and you can tell your classmates what book it is.OK? Who wants to be the first one?” 教師鼓勵學生到前面來簡單介紹一下自己帶的書。學生說完后，教師可以問：“Can I borrow your book?”教師把所有借來的書都放在桌子上，擺放成準備借閱的樣子。在學生談完，教師也基本擺好書后，教師對學生說：“I’ve got many books here.Which book would you like to read? You can come here and borrow one book.” 教師鼓勵學生到前面來借書。學生應該說：“I’d like to read a book on animal.” 或說：“I like this book.” 并用手指著書。如果學生不熟，教師應帶領學生說：“I’d like to read a book on animals.” 并讓學生相互問答： A: Which book would you like to read? B: I’d like to read a book on food.在學生練習的基礎上，教師可以迅速把教室后面的幾張桌子圍一下，教師找幾個同學同時到前面當圖書管理員，并找一些學生前來借書。教師告訴兩個學生說：“You two come here and say, ‘This reading-room is very nice.I like it very much.Yes, I like this room, too.I come here every day.’ Then, you go to borrow books.” 教師帶著他們走到書前看書。圖書管理員說：“We have many books here.Books on animals, food, fruit, vegetables, clothes, co lour, sports, and so on.Which book would you like to read?” 借書的學生說：“I’d like to read a book on…” 教師可以先后讓更多的同學來扮演這些角色并進行練習。在學生練習的基礎上，教師說：“Let’s look at the picture.This is a reading-room.Many children are in this reading-room.Some children are sitting there, reading books.Some children are working at the computers.There are many books.Books on animals, on clothes, on food and fruit and on drawings and paintings and so on.This girl asks, ‘Which book would you like to read?’ This girl answers ‘I’ d like to read a book on animals.’” 教師示范后，讓學生兩人一組先進行練習，然后再找幾個學生到前面進行介紹。根據介紹的情況，教師再考慮是否讓學生再重新分組練習一下。單元教學活動2

Listen, match and practice.第二部分是聽力練習。在聽錄音之前，教師首先應帶著學生看一看各種類型的書，看看學生是否知道這些書的內容。如果有生詞，教師應帶著大家讀一讀，并用英語簡單進行一下說明。然后，教師讓學生聽錄音，同時提醒大家：“Now listen very carefully.This is a listening comprehension exercise.We have many children’s names here.You listen to the dialogues among these children and decide which is his or her favourite book.Then you draw a line to match the name with the book.Do you understand? 1、家長可以在家準備一個26字母紙片或者卡片，以在輕松愉快的方式下檢驗孩子的復習成果！孩子記單詞的時候按上課老師教的自然拼的方式去記，先讀熟記?？吹臅r候孩子自己看，家長可以參與檢驗孩子的復習的程度可以用游戲的方式：把單詞中挖掉1—3，4個字母，讓孩子填寫。一開始拿掉簡單的字母.如dress可以先拿掉e,再拿掉dr或者ss。讓孩子說出剩下的字母或字母組合。先讓孩子適應背單詞為了給孩子增加信心和興趣先簡單些。（基礎好的孩子可根據自己情況增加練習單詞量,學校的單詞也可以這樣輔記.）
