在考研英語的part a 小作文部分，書信作為考查的重點所在，種類繁多。在前面我們曾就以題目為例，詳細地解析過前五種書信：即建議信、投訴信、咨詢信、感謝信和祝賀信的寫作方法及其注意事項。今天中公考研英語教研組的張玉環老師就對考研英語小作文中的第六類書信——道歉信——進行深入的分析。

道歉信，英文中稱為 letter of apology，是由于某事向某人表示歉意的信件，通常是由于自己的過錯或不能履行承諾等而做出的道歉。寫作時，一定要態度誠懇，提供合理的理由，并需在解釋完原因后，盡可能提供一個合適的補救辦法。道歉信曾在2008年英語(一)的小作文中考查過。作為英文應用書信的一種，道歉信非常符合考研英語的考查要求，既可考查考生的英語書面表達能力，尤其是應用文的英語表達能力，又可考查到考生對內容要點的歸納、概括、表述能力。

一般來說，在考研英語中，道歉信主體部分的寫作可按照三個步驟進行，即“三步走”策略。接下來就以題目為例，具體解析一下這個策略。例題：

合：既要有具體的、實實在在的解決方法，還要為可能造成的損失做出將會彌補的承諾，以在最大限度上獲得對方的原諒。

尾段：once again, i feel so sorry for any inconvenience caused.please accept my apologies.本段中第一句話通過once again+i feel so sorry forany inconvenience caused的句型，再次表達了自己對收信人的道歉之意。之后，第二句話用一句非常簡單的please accept my apologies表達了自己的期待，期待收信人接受道歉，進而原諒自己。

考研英語中大作文的要求是內容切題、表達清楚、文字連貫、句式多變和語言規范。小作文考察點在信息點的覆蓋、語言的準確性、文章組織的連貫性上。
