“Old man and the sea”’s impressions This year Summer vacation，I read the american well-known writer Hemingway's novel“Old man and the sea”．

It seems to be that Santiago is a poor old man． Hemingway refining the language of their own to shape the image，it can be said that Hemingway didn’t let the elderly achieved success, however has been given under the pressure of the elderly in the image of elegance and fortitude．

Hemingway's novel won the Nobel Prize for Literature and the Pulitzer Prize．The tough guy writer，the proper strength to write his life, tell us how to deal with birth, old age，sickness and death，tells us how wide the heart，such as the sea in general．The elderly is lonely,，he was approached in an ideal road trip travelers，but he is not lonely, because his will is so strong．

After reanding this book，I know less than their own．From then on，I don’t care what kind of difficulties encountered，we must face with confidence, insisted in the end, and never say die！

看上去桑提亞哥（Stantiago）似乎是個(gè)又窮又老的人，海明威(Hemingway)以自己精煉的語言塑造了這個(gè)形象，可以說，海明威沒有讓老人成功，卻賦予老人在壓力下優(yōu)雅而堅(jiān)強(qiáng)的形象。

海明威的這部小說榮獲了諾貝爾文學(xué)獎(jiǎng)和普利策獎(jiǎng)。這個(gè)硬漢作家，恰當(dāng)?shù)貙懗隽松膹?qiáng)度，告訴我們?cè)趺慈ッ鎸?duì)生、老、病、死，告訴我們心該有多寬，就像大海一樣。老人是孤獨(dú)的，他是在理想的道路上前行的旅行者，但他又是不孤獨(dú)的，因?yàn)樗囊庵臼悄菢拥膱?jiān)強(qiáng)。

讀完這本書以后，我明白了自己以往的不足，從今以后，不管我遇到多大的困難，我都有足夠的自信去面對(duì)，堅(jiān)持到底，永不言棄！

After reading the novel The Old Man and The Sea

The novel tells a story that an old man almost sixty years went to sea and fished alone in Santiago.The old fisherman had got nothing for eighty-four days and he almost died because of hunger.However, contrary to common people`s thought, he did not give up.In the eighty-fifth day, he fished a huge marlin whose body was eighteen feet in length, 1500 pounds in weight.The fish was so large that none of the Santiago`s fisherman had had got one.The old man fight with the large marlin for 3 days without any food, water and arms, and finally killed it.But, in the back journey, lots of small sharks ate out the marlin.As a result, the old man came back Santiago with the big marlin skeleton frame.I think every reader will be deeply moved by the old fisherman as me.On the one hand, I am sympathy of his failure.On the other hand, I have a great esteem for the old man`s persistence and courage.Although he became old and failed, he still made great efforts and showed a positive attitude on failure.The novel shows us an outlook on life of striving——faced with the unconquerable nature, humans still can win in spirit.Maybe the result is failure, in the process of striving, however, we can see a man of indomitable spirit.
