從17世紀(jì)開始，茶葉傳入英國，到１９世紀(jì)，幾乎整個英國社會都開始流行喝茶。值得一提的是“英式下午茶”，這一稱謂的正式發(fā)明是在19世紀(jì)40年代。英國維多利亞時代，公元1840年，英國公爵夫人安娜女士每天下午都邀請幾位好友，同享輕松愜意的午后時光，伴隨著茶與精致的點心。直到今天，它已形成一種優(yōu)雅自在的下午茶文化，也成為正統(tǒng)的“英國紅茶文化”，這也是所謂的“維多利亞下午茶”的由來。

在悠悠的歷史長河中，中國傳統(tǒng)文化如一朵奇葩，不斷地盛開綻放，日積月累，積淀的如此深厚。茶文化，便是根深蒂固的成長在中國人心中，中國茶文化滲透了宮廷和社會，深入中國的詩詞、繪畫、書法、宗教、醫(yī)學(xué)。她不但是物質(zhì)的，更是精神上的，這就是中國特有的茶文化。

傳說“神農(nóng)嘗百草，一日遇七十二毒，得茶而解之 ”。自此，茶便于中國有了不解之緣。無論是魚米之鄉(xiāng)的江南，還是牛羊遍地的塞外；無論是繁華富庶的東海之濱，還是落日孤煙的西域荒漠。茶是不可或缺的。于是一條從武陵山脈深處一路東行，又折向北，又轉(zhuǎn)向西，穿越戈壁和沙漠，直通俄羅斯的滄桑古茶道形成了。

中外文化差異

據(jù)美國《星島日報》報道：中國人的家庭觀念強(qiáng)，血緣關(guān)系，親情倫理，在腦中根深蒂固，父母、子女始終一家人。哪怕成家立業(yè)，另設(shè)門戶，和父母仍不分彼此，把贍養(yǎng)父母，侍奉父母，看作自己應(yīng)盡的責(zé)任。美國人卻不同，子女一到成年，就會離巢而飛，父母不再撫養(yǎng)他們；而子女一旦獨(dú)立，對父母家的事，也不再理會，更休想贍養(yǎng)父母或幾代同堂了。
