大家晚上好。今天我要演講的題目是：“如果可以重新選擇，我將選擇忘掉如果”。

朋友們聚在一起的時候，很喜歡談論過去。他們總是喜歡問，如果可以回到過去，你會怎么選擇。以前的我會說，我要回到高考的時候，調整好心態，考好一點；要么就回到高一，不要老是玩，多學習。可是現在我會回答：“我會選擇忘掉過去?！?/p>

就在不久前，我得知了一場與我的理想息息相關的考試的失敗。當看到那個排名倒數10%的成績時，我只覺得錯愕，覺得不可思議。怎么可能？為了這場難度極高的考試，我足足準備了半年。半年來的艱辛是常人沒有辦法想象的。我投入了我所有的時間與精力，犧牲了所有娛樂的機會，為什么結果依舊是這樣悲慘？我開始瘋狂地想，如果當初我沒有選擇這條路呢？那樣我就不必花半年的時間去飽受痛苦地準備這場考試，那樣子我的生活會是完全另一番模樣！可是逝去的時間已經再也找不回來了。

消沉了好幾天，一直都在懊悔與幻想中度過。直到有一天，一位朋友不經意的言談讓我徹底醒悟，他說：“我以前老是在想，如果當初選擇復讀就好了，那樣說不定就能考到好得多的學校，未來不就光明多了嗎？可是我老師卻告訴我，你有沒有想過，如果選擇了復讀，你真的能夠像你想象的一樣比現在更好嗎？你可能會因為更大的壓力而再次失足，那樣你不僅一無所獲還浪費了一年；即便考得更好了，你又能保證自己不會在大學放松繼而墮落嗎？既然已經不能夠回到過去，又為什么要用虛假的如果來欺騙自己呢？”

雙語演講稿：12歲女孩在聯合國峰會的發言

1992年，一個12歲的加拿大小女孩，她自己籌錢到巴西的里約熱內盧，在聯合國的峰會上，她做了5分鐘的發言。

珊文·古立斯.鈴木（Severn Cullis-Suzuki）的父親是世界知名的加拿大遺傳學家與環保人士戴維·鈴木博士（Dr.David Suzuki），熱心致力于環保工作并且成效卓著，曾榮獲「全球優秀領導獎」。珊文·古立斯.鈴木是世界上最杰出的青年環保斗士之一，從年少時起，她就藉由發表演講、主持電視節目與寫作，以倡導環保，并力促大眾建立價值觀、所作所為都要想到未來，以及負起個人應盡的責任。

All this is happening before our eyes and yet we act as if we have all the time we want and all the solutions.I’m only a child and I don’t have all the solutions, but I want you to realize, neither do you.You don’t know how to fix the holes in our ozone layer.You don’t know how to bring the salmon back up a dead stream.You don’t know how to bring back an animal now extinct.And you can’t bring back the forest that once grew where there is now a desert.If you don’t know how to fix it, please stop breaking it.”

“Here you may be delegates of your governments, business people,organizers, reporters or politicians.But, really, you’re mothers and fathers, sisters and brothers, aunts and uncles and all of you are someone’s child.I’m only a child, yet I know we are all part of a family, 5 billion strong, in fact 30 million species strong.And borders and governments will never change that.I’m only a child, yet I know we are all in this together and should act as one single world towards one single goal.”

“In my anger, I am not blind and in my fear I am not afraid of telling the world how I feel.In my country we make so much waste, we buy and throw away, buy and throw away, buy and throw away and yet Northern countries will not share with the needy.Even when we have more than enough we are afraid to share, we are afraid to let go of some of our wealth.In Canada , we live the privileged life.We’ve plenty of food, water and shelter.We have watches, bicycles, computers and television sets.The list could go on for 2 days.Two days ago here in Brazil , we were shocked when we spent time with some children living on the streets.This is what one child told us, ‘I wish I was rich and if I were, I would give all the street children food, clothes, medicines, shelter and love and affection’.If a child on the street who has nothing is willing to share, why are we who have everything still so greedy? I can’t stop thinking that these are children my own age, that it makes a tremendous difference where you are born.And that I could be one of those children living in the favelas of Rio.I could be a child starving in Somalia , or a victim of war in the Middle East or a beggar in India.I am only a child, yet I know if all the money spent on war was spent on finding environmental answers ending

poverty and in finding treaties, what a wonderful place this earth would be.”

“At school, even in kindergarten, you teach us how to behave in the world.You teach us to not to fight with others, to work things out, to respect others and to clean up our mess, not to hurt other creatures, to share, not be greedy.Then, why do you go out and do the things you tell us not to do? Do not forget why you are attending these conferences, who you are doing this for.We are your own children.You are deciding what kind of a world we are growing up in.Parents should be able to comfort their children by saying ‘Everything is going to be all right, it’s not the end of the world, and we are doing the best we can’.But I don’t think you can say that to us anymore.Are we even on your list of priorities? Abundance is a life style, a way of living your life.It isn’t something you buy now and then or pull down from the cupboard, dust off and use once or twice, and then return to the cupboard.富足是一種生活方式。它不是你偶爾買來，從架子上拿下來，抹去灰塵用上一兩次然后又放回到架子上的東西。

Abundance is a philosophy;it appears in your physiology, your value system, and carries its own set of beliefs.You walk with it, sleep with it, bath with it, feel with it, and need to maintain and take care of it as well.富足是一種哲學，它體現于你的生理機能和價值觀之中，并帶有自己的一套信仰。無論走路，睡覺，洗澡你都會感受到它，你還要維護并照顧它。
